I'm a 23 year old guy getting ready for school in January.

I work for my church every Sunday, so you won't see much of me on Sunday's.

Tuesday's my laundry day and I sometimes have a business meeting that evening.

I'm rather unlikely to get a post in on either of those days.

Through the week I'm almost always home, and on the internet. I'm not always in chat, but I am sometimes. You're welcome to discuss your threads with me there whether I'm on Tux, Viniece, or Gnaia in chat. You can also of course PM me or leave a note on my profile. Although I'm online, due to getting ready for school, I'm not always posting. I'm getting ready for school.

I'm also available via Instant Messenger services. mightypesky1 on aim, mightypesky1 ->at<- yahoo ->dot<- com on yahoo, slicersv ->at<- gee mail ->dot<- com on both google talk and msn. Replace the ->at<- with an '@' the ->dot<- with a '.' and the gee mail with gmail.

Please, please, do not email me ever. Yes, I know that msn and google talk are also email, yes, I also know that aim and yahoo are also also email, but please don't email me. I check my email once a week typically - and only gmail at that, whilst I check Aelyria daily, even if I don't have time enough - or energy enough - to post.

I do try to make sure I'm able to come up with a good reply to my threads within a week of the last time you post. If this does not occur, please don't go zomg post already, but rather try to inspire me for your thread, even if I don't need inspiration and did honestly forget it, I'm much less likely to respond well to a zomg post request. If the seventh day was a Sunday, wait until Monday night, I'll most likely get to it then. If the seventh day was a Tuesday, wait until Wednesday night, I'll most likely get to it then.

Please, please, please. When you really hate what I wrote, tell me flatly that you want it changed. Don't just be like "PC Name didn't like it." ... tell me that you didn't like it. I'll change it asap. Sometimes I'll just snip it out, other times I'll rewrite the post, depending. That said... when it honestly is just your PC didn't like it, write that into your PC's response. IC. And don't go asking me to change every little nit-pick either. Only things that seriously make you upset about the thread.

Through the week I'll probably only be getting to a couple threads a day total, this includes both mod and pc posts. On the weekends I'll be trying to catch up best I can on any I missed.

OK... so then, what sort of threads do I prefer to work with you're wondering? Adventures and character development, crazy plots. I'm not too keen on training threads, but I can try to take them. Business threads make me groan, but I will do my best if you really want me to do one for you (just be aware that the initial business plan will almost certainly go south). Politics can be fun in it's way. Basically, I really like the ones where it makes sense for me to inflict pain and give you a consolation prize afterwards

ACCEPTED!

I just got my acceptance notice from BYU-Idaho yesterday. For those of you who aren't aware, BYU, or Brigham Young University, is a semi-prestigious university for Latter Day Saint people. Thats not to say they don't accept students that aren't Mormon, but being Mormon definitely raises your chances.

Some years back now BYU went multi-campus. They now have BYU-Provo, the original BYU, shorthand is "Y". The second campus is BYU-Hawaii, located on the Hawaiian Islands they started this campus in order to make it more affordable for pacific islander students to get a BYU quality education. I've never heard anyone refer to the Hawaii campus by anything shorter than BYU-Hawaii. The third campus is the one I'll be attending, BYU-Idaho, also referred to as BYUI. BYUI was originally called Ricks College and was a small LDS affiliated, but not fully sponsored, community college in Rexburg, Idaho. BYU decided to annex Ricks several years back, bringing it church sponsorship and the full course-work of the BYU University system. The primary motivation for this was probably the simple fact that BYU was running out of room! They get millions of applicants a year and can only accept thousands.

Considering that I've been out of school a long time, failed to make it out on an LDS mission, and never did score very high on tests, it's pretty amazing that I got accepted. This is fantastic for me, I'll finally be moving on with my life.

What does this mean for Aelyria? Well, obviously I won't have as much time on my hands! While doing all the post-acceptance work my posts will probably slow down, not sure by how much, though. When I go out to school, I might have to retire AGMing, or I might just be really really slow. Please just bear with me as I transition into the next stage of my life!

Quit Aelyria just because I start school? Most certainly not. I'm even posting this from a console browser because I'm presently overhauling my box. We can't even know I'll be quitting modding at this point

TRACK ASSIGNMENT!

Just heard from BYU-Idaho again, got my official track assignment notice.

BYU in addition to having multiple campuses also has a multiple track system. Where most schools have just the two semesters in a year, Fall and Winter, all three BYU campuses add a third, Summer. This isn't completely uncommon, however, where other schools let students use this as a "catch up" semester, BYU has divided their students into "tracks". They have the standard track that everyone has, Fall-Winter, which runs from Sept-April, a Winter-Summer track, which runs from Jan-Jul, and finally a Summer-Fall track, running from April-Dec.

I've been assigned to the Winter-Summer track. They do this in order to accept yet more students than they would normally be able to, a few thousand more per campus, in fact.

Attend all Winter and Summer semesters to maintain their admission status;
Not enroll in classes during Fall semesters;

UPDATED ROUTINE:

OK. So I think I've pretty much settled into a 'getting ready to go' routine.

From now on my posts are likely to be once a week to any given thread, 2, maybe 3 posts a day through the week, catch-up on Saturdays.

Yesterday, today, and Monday I'm going to be doing all the catching up that I can.

I do not intend to retire AGM'ing. At least for as long as I can help it. You're all stuck with me, cuz I'm here for the partay, and I ain't leavin' till they throw me out.

NOW INTRODUCING... IM!

So... I've figured out a way to have all the IM protocols mapping all IMs to a single window, so that i'm getting my stuff in a Chat view, rather than a billion different windows.

If you re-read the first post of my office you will see a couple of new paragraphs. The first of these contains all four IM protocols that I have an account with. The second tells you not to email me despite the fact that 3 different email addresses are now known because of me giving out my IM contact information. Yes. I've put them here, and I've complicated the URI's. I've done this so that email mining bots can't crawl Aelyria to spam me. Do you like spam? Cuz I don't.

I Have Been A Naughty AGM... Again.

OK, so I just had one PC tell me that they're having a thread deleted, and another PC decide to wrap things up early because of how I've been conducting myself...

I consider myself castrated.

I had a cold last week and didn't end up doing any posting, although I still spent a lot of time in chat. Apparently spending time in chat means that you should be able to post too! Sorry about that

Well. Much less chat time for me from now on. I'll be in chat... only occasionally. I'll still always have my IM's connected as long as I'm on, so poke me there.

That was only one of the things I've done wrong. The other thing was introducing a dirty mutt to a certain fight thread. And then joking about it when the Player apparently complained... It wasn't exactly obvious to me that she disliked it quite as much as she did until my GM gave me an ultimatum about it. Please, please, please.
