Is power truly everything? Should power be contained in one location, shown to mortals that lust for such power? Such was the case with an ancient device known simply as The Labyrinth. Just as it sounds, the Labyrinth is really one large maze, but it is no ordinary maze. It's walls are all different sizes and made of grey stone, moss covering some of the areas and some areas more broken then others. The Labyrinth itself was created many eras ago, though who created it remains a mystery as does the reason of it's creation. The powers inside it remained shrouded in mystery, the magic flowing through every stone and every crevice so strongly that anyone could feel it upon entering.
Beneath the City of Port Alyxandrya lays The Labyrinth, asleeps for centuries, awaiting those that would venture forth to taste what it has to offer. Traps are hidden all throughout the maze and one can be trapped in illusions, wandering around the same place for eras until they waste away to nothing. The entrance to the Gates of the Labyrinth is a closely guarded secret that is held by the guardian of the Gate. The Labyrinth sends out a siren's song, like a maiden calling from a dragon guarded tower for her prince to rescue her.
No one ever knows what the entire maze looks like because no one has ever been through the entire maze, it never remains the same, it shifts itself from time to time. You could go from looking at a dead end, blink, and then a passage-way if sitting before you, it shifts as though it has a mind of it's own and who knows, perhaps the huge construct does in fact have a mind of it's own. If not, then maybe it has a powerful mind behind it.
One thing that is sure to be found in the amazing Labyrinth is white marble statues, all carved to perfection, down to the smallest detail. Statues of men, women, and children litter the Labyrinth, who carved the statues and why? The Labyrinth permits so many questions and yet hides the answers, daring those that are brave enough to venture forward and try to solve the mysteries the Labyrinth holds.
If one does get pass the Gatekeeper and seeks out the Labyrinth, they must journey underneath PA for a short time, the dark caverns danergous in their own right. When one finally comes to the stairs leading to the Labyrinth, they would be surprised to find trees growing along the ruined stairs, how such greenery could grow underground could only be accounted to the power of the Labyrinth. Stepping upon the
mark of the keepers, the doors would open slowly and loudly, allowing those that wished to seek what lay inside in, what they saw would be up to them.
