[Docks District] The Abandoned Warehouse

A simple warehouse. That's what appears to most who journey the east side of the docks along the waterfront. A two story structure, the outside is constructed with cheap wood worn from the salt of the sea while rickety sheets of thin metal lay here and there fastened on the outside. Like spots they do not conceal the whole of the inside but are rather fastened haphazardly, giving the structure a derelict feel. A desolate area of the city, the small side street it lays on is often completly emptied, save for the odd wandering seaman.

The inside is in worse shape then its exterior sadly. Broken ceramic vases and torn boxes litter the floor while a fine coat of dust proves this building has no purpose other then taking up space. It is musty inside, the smell of warped and aged wood mingling with decay parchment and accumulated filth. Expansive as it is tall, the building is of huge proportions compared to most in this area. It is a place of silence and spirits of old. Even the old down on his luck sailor who can be seen frequently drunk before the door to the inside of the warehouse knows nothing of what the place use to be. And some citizens, recently, have even said it to be haunted for those who wander within are rarely seen again. But, it is only a simple abandoned warehouse.

Or at least, it use to be.

Along the wooden floor of litter and garbage lies one clean square shoulder width across. Painted there is a symbol of a raven, wings outstretched and menacing. Within its black craw is held a dagger its business end painted in red. If one is resourceful enough you could find the lever to open the trap door. Inside a tall broken ceramic vase to its right lies a latch that when flipped, lets loose the floor there and opens to revel light. And smoke, laughter, yelling, and the unmistakable proof that this warehouse is not as it appears. For if you descend the ladder that his hidden under the trap door you enter into another world entirely.

The Virgis boys, pirates of old and pillagers of profit and chance reside within. The Black Crow Company set sail from the safe harbor of mythic Freeport to set shop in prosperous Aelyria. Intent to make well on profit and adventure, they show no mercy in getting whatever their wicked hearts disire. Murderers, looters, and robbers all they own this warehouse and soon, if they have their way, the city of Imperia. Yes, this warehouse is no ordinary warehouse. For below the facade lies a whole complex of ruffians that have their sights set on the city of Imperia. And inside this structure lies their base of operations. They hide here in secret, covertly coming and going from here to the piers and their ships. Below the warehouse itself lies a complex cave system that supports the group with lodging, training, and secret routes throughout the city. Make no mistake, the Virgis boys take absolute care that their base is never found out. Which accounts for how few know about the area.

After all, its only a simple warehouse.

(ooc: This is the headquarters for the Black Crow Company, the pirate gang. Please note it is VERY dangerous around this location. You have been warned.)
