[Tavern] The Tattered Sails (Autumn)

[Sakura D'aron]

Located down on what many called the bad side of town, the Waterfront area, down where pirates where known to hang out. An old two-story building stood. It used to look old and worn down, damaged. A while back it had gone through some repairs. Not too recently the outside of the building had been repaired and painted a dark brown. An old thick and worn wooden door served as the only public entrance to the building. To the upper right hung an oak wood sign with a black metal frame. The sign had a ship with tattered sails on a black background and in red and neatly written letters over the logo read:

Tattered Sails Tavern

Inside the tavern were several small round tables and wooden chairs. The bar was to the far end of the tavern with several worn stools on the front of it. There was almost no sunlight filtering in through the greased filled windows of the tavern creating a rather dark setting, several oil lamps were mounted on the walls and kept lit throught the day and night.

To the right, on the wall a few feet from the entrance a large bulletin board could be found, that served as the Tattered Sail's source of information. For posted there, were the current job openings offered at the tavern.

To the left of the tavern a fireplace could be spotted along with a few wooden chairs nearby where on cold nights some of the frequent drunks that visited the tavern sat in hopes to get warmed up. Over to the right side of the bar was a swinging door that lead to the kitchen.

Over to the left, a few feet away from the fireplace were some wooden stairs leading up to the second story of the building. It was on the second story that the owner's office and living appartment were located. To the right was The owner's office, and to the left was her Appartment. Both doors were locked at all times, and a second guard dog made it a habbit of napping on the hallway, right by the stairs, so that if any one other than the owner should make his or her way up by mistake, they'd be promply escorted back down by the angry glare and growl of the angry guard dog.

As you aproach the bar, a male bartender can be seen behind the bar either tending to customers with their drinks or cleaing the bar at all times. "What will it be mate?'' is his usual greeting to all that aproach the bar.

A mix of pork, beef, wine, diced dried bread, potatoes, cheese and butter, all slow cooked and seasoned to perfection. [3c]

**Stuffed Chiken**

Large whole chicken, carrots, hint of sugar, hint of pepper and butted all stuffed and cooked. [2c]

**MeatPie**

A mix of chicken livers, diced pork, cheese, salt & pepper, a shot of wine, a shot of whiskey offered with a bread roll. [1c]

**Harbor Stirfry**

fried pork, beef and chicken seasoned with salt & pepper and a shot of brandy and hot butter over it. [2c]

**Honey Cake**

Mix of honey, eggs, sugar, ginger & flower slow baked and glazed with honey. [2 Silver pieces per slice]

[Dzrg]

Dzrg entered the Tavern, walked up to the Bartender and said, "Send over a bottle o' brandy, a big pitcha o' beer, a Riot Stew an' a Stuffed Chicken. Tell Sakura dat I need ta see her."

The Orc then went over to the closest table, pulled out two chairs, sat in one and put his feet up on the other. He took a plug of tobacco out of his pocket and began chewing it as he waited for drink, food and Sakura. It din't really matter much to him in what order. He was thirsty, he was hungry, and he had busness with Sakura.

Dzrg did not share the bad habit of most tobacco chewers. He did not spit on the floor. He swallowed the tobacco juice after enjoying the taste in his mouth.

Toby arched a curious brow as he listened to Dzrg. "Yessir." He said promptly and went about fetching what had been ordered after telling on of the crew members to fetch Sakura and tell her that she was needed most urgently.

By the time Sakura came storming down the stairs and to the bar Dzrg's drinks were ready though the food needed a bit more time. Sakura looked around quickly not really paying attention to any of the tavern's occupants then turned angry eyes to Toby. "What the bloody hell?!" she said irritably. "Haven't I explained to you what is considered 'urgent' matters and what is NOT?! I don't see anything that needs my bloody immediate attention?!" Sakura said crossly, she was behind on her much dreaded paperwork. Accounting had never been Sak's idea of a good time. And between numbers and ordering supplies for the tavern she was more than a little busy.

Toby sighed hopelessly. "Ah well see Sak, just 'cause things appear to be calm dun mean there isn't any urgency." He said matter of factly and much to Sak's annoyance.

"Oh spare me! Just tell me what the hell made you summon me down here already." She said impatiently.

"Dzrg wants to speak with you." said Toby flatly. "Oh and, these are his drinks." He said dismissing her and moving on to the next order.

Sakura blinked looking at him and mumbled annoyed something that sounded a lot like. "Insolent elf!" and never being one to turn Dzrg down lest he get angry and thus violent she picked up the bottle of brandy and the pitcher of beer along with a mug and turned around looking for him, once spotting him... not that it was hard to miss him, she walked over to him and set down the drinks at his table.

"Serale Dzrg. I hope you're doing well. I'm told you require my presence?" She said as politely as she always did though she did not fear him so much anymore.

Junctior 30, Autumn of Era XIV

The Orc nodded to Sakura, opened the bottle and took a swig of brandy. He held the brandy in his mouth as he poured beer from the pitcher to the mug. He savored the taste of the brandy for a few moments and then swallowed it. Right after that, he took the mug and downed the beer in one gulp. That done, he turned his attention to Sakura and said, "I'm doin' well 'nuff. Need ta talk bizness wit ya. Might take a while. Order yerself whateva ya want, put it on my bill."

Assuming that Sakura would join him in a drink, Dzrg repeated the routine, opening the bottle, taking a swig of brandy, holding it in his mouth, and then after swallowing it, he chased it with beer.

Sakura arched a thoughtful brow. Business? "Alright. But I'm not hungry right at the moment, thank you very much though." She said with a smile. She still hadn't forgotten seeing him eat something that looked like a three inch person with wings. Not having been asked to sit down and not one to disregard manners she remained standing.

Not wanting to be rude though, she signaled for Toby. "Could you kindly bring me a bit of rum? Thanks Toby." She said with a smile. Shortly afterward her drink was brought over. Rembering that Dzrg was well.. different sometimes, she pulled over another seat and pointed at it. "May I sit?"

[Dzrg]

When Sakura asked if she could sit, the Orc thought that was a silly question. It was her place, Dzrg asked he ro join him, why shouldn't she sit? Might it be that she was waiting for him to ask her to sit? That would be a lot better, foe her to sit. Meeting with Sakura was usually a rather strange encounter to say the least. Just to make sure that they would be ready to talk, he said, "Ya oughta sit yerself".

Once Sakura was settled down and had her drink, the Orc figured to get right to the point, as he usually did.

"Time has come fer me ta leave Imperia. Time ta move on. Need ta talk bizness wit ya 'fore I go." He then picked up the bottle and had another swig of brandy. That was followed by a drink of beer.

Sakura blinked surprised. "Leaving? You're leaving Imperia? But... why?" Sakura asked momentarily forgetting her good manners. Dzrg was the one in control of the Docks area and Sakura had been perfectly ok with that. Now that he was leaving... he wouldn't be in control no more. And that meant she had to step up or someone else would take over and she wasn't ok with that idea at all.

"Um... what business?" She asked thoughtfully, she was already starting to get worried about the future of Imperia's pirates, of which she only controled a very small portion.

[Dzrg]

As Sakura spoke, Dzrg sat back and relaxed, appearing not to have a care in the telath, and he did not. After She replied, the Orc responded, "Like I said, time ta leave Imperia. Came here wit a bunch 'o crowns, gonna leave wit more crowns, no complaints. Gonna turn over all da biznesses ashore ta da city o' Imperia, free, gratis. Gonna see da Thane ta take o' dat. Got da legal transfer writ' up.

"Got 'nudda legal transfer. Gonna give Thane a copy. You get da original. Da bizness, Imperia Rescue an' Salvage gonna be turned ova ta you. Da holdings of Imperia Rescue an' Salvage are gonna be 50% ownership in da four Pirate Ships and da six Merchant Ships. Da Pirate Ships are called Rescue an' Salvage Ships. I'm gonna keep da udder 50% ownership. Ya gonna deposit 50% o' da net profits in my bank account. I don't need records an' accountin, jus' da 50% share, at da end o' each summa an' da end o' each winta.

"Ya talked before 'bout wantin' a Merchant Ship, now ya gonna have a few."

Sakura again simply stared blankly at Dzrg after he was done talking. She didn't even blink this time. For a moment, what he had said was making absolutely no sense. but then again a lot of what Dzrg said didn't always make sense to Sakura right away. It made her wonder who was slow in the head, her? or him?

But once what he said registered she actually blushed. "Um...ok." She said at a loss of words. Any other person on the face of the planet would have been more than happy yet Sakura was well... confused. She could certainly see the benefits of such an arrangement but she also saw the responsabilities it would bring.

Now, and quite out of the blue, she hat not one but five pirate ships and on top of that an additional six merchant ships. Of wich she knew nothing about, but she thought Dzrg would have at least the sense to fill her in on the details of each ship and their crew. Speaking of crews... "Are your crews aware of this arrangement?" She asked thoughtfully. Knowing her small crew they were mostly loyal to her and did not take kindly to some one else odering them about. The last thing she wanted was to have a bunch of angry pirates out to kill her so they could go about doing as they wished. And then there was the merchant ships, what routes did they go? What cargo did they carry? Who were the captains of each ship? All of a sudden she had far too many questions and knew Dzrg well enough to know he'd only have the patience to answer a third of them if that.

"I thank you for the trust and faith you have in me Dzrg, and I do hope not to fail you. You'll understand that up to know I've kept a rather small crew and my experience continues to be far less than yours. Might you have the time at least to go over certain things with me?" She asked wondering if she should have spoken with less words. He always got confused with her talking.

[Dzrg]

"All da ships got good Captains but ya can replace dem if ya want.

"Da Pirates get half da prize. Da Captain works out how da crew shares. We pay fer supplies an' upkeep. Real simple an' easy.

"Da Merchant ships ya can work out wit da Captains. Best ta let dem take care 'o payin' da crew.

"Now, what ya wanna go ova? Oughta be simple 'nuff. No need ta git complicated. If something happens jus' do what ya think best."

[Sakura D'aron]

Sakura sighed listening to Dzrg, she hadn't even bothered tasting her drink yet and she probably wasn't going to get around it. Everything always seemed simple to Dzrg, she half envied him that way, because everything always seemed complicated to her.

"So what you're saying is... let the Captains do as they please? My question then is... what exactly am I supposed to do then?" She asked calmly. Dzrg and her always had a hard time communicating... she'd hoped that by now it'd gotten a bit easier but it hadn't really.

Sakura chuckled shaking her head. "I'm sorry Dzrg, I know I seem complicated most of the time. I tend to over-think things you see. I suppose I'll learn what I must as I go along and what not." She said calming down. She had a tendecy to worry about too much.

"If it's not too much asking... where are you going?" She asked giving in to curiosity. If Dzrg was leaving Imperia and all his businessess, it had to be for something better. Orc or not, he was an ambitious man.

[Dzrg]

Dzrg shook his head. It might be because she was a female, might be because she was an Elf, most likely because of both, making Sakura a person who needed embellishment whenever simplicity was there before her.

"What ya do is have da Captains make da propsals fer da wages, den ya talk. Betta fer Captain ta justify wages, den fer him ta argue wit what you propose. Ya gotta keep da uppa hand."

When she asked where he was going, Dzrg replied, "Goin ta Orckon afta I git all mattas settled here. Goin ta settle wit da udda Orcs. Ya got more questuns?"

[Drake Flowe]

Drake walked in to a place full of people he didn't know. "Serale, I would like a whiskey water please." Drake then sat on the barstool and looked around at the diffrent array of people that were around.
