In the governmental district of Diana stands a two storied white bricked mansion with bevelled thick white columns. In the warmer months a visitor can enjoy the warmth of the suns on the wraparound porch or under the shade of the two large trees. It was a place of business as well as a sanctuary for the current Imperial Consul. An ironed black fence surrounded the property of the estate, and at the gate two guards stood both of which were armed with sheathed long swords. Ever polite the guards would greet the visitor's of the Consul and require their name and purpose for being their.
Behind the gate impressive well manicured lawns and bushes of various species of flowers perfumed the air in the spring and summer months. It was a sight to behold when the earth was not barren with the winter months. Upon walking the grey cobbled pathway the white wooden door would have a brass plaque with the words, “ Office and Estate of the Imperial Consul of Carmelyn”.
Interior
During the brightening hour’s the door was often unlocked and welcomed visitors. The first room that a visitor entered was an elegant sitting room. .
Secrets :
The sitting room is both influenced by Jaedaxian and Zinnsunn décor two vastly different cultures but in the room they worked together to create a beautiful room. The polished wooden floor gleams from the sunlight, which filters in through the large french windows with the crimson silk window shades. In the center of the room is an elegant sofa that has soft plush feather filled cushions. In front of the sofa is a black marble table that has a glass snifter filled with brandy and crystal goblet's. While a visitor is waiting they can partake in a glass of fine brandy. Here a member of the staff would greet a visitor pleasently and inform the Lady Consul of their arrival.
Further into the residence past the office of the imperial consul and the offices of her staff was the dining room
Secrets :
Much like the sitting room the dining room is also quite elegant. Here the Lady Consul partakes in meals with visitors discussing business or romantic quiet dinners with her husband. Dark maple wood contrasts lovely with the white panelled ornate walls. Also during the sunny brightening's the large window's let in alot of light as well as the crystal candled chandiler in the darkening.
Also on the first floor of the Imperial Consul residence is a ball room. Here the Imperial consul holds balls and parties to entertain friends, buisness associates and family.

Private Quarters
The second level of the residence was off limits to servants and other staff as it was a place and only friends and family were permitted into the private quarters. A white winding staircase led to the upper level. On the upper level was a library filled with books as well as a sitting room. Also their were guest rooms for friends and family as well as the consul's bedroom.
Timestamp: Three brightenings after Elmaryia's letter arrived.
A letter arrived bearing the Royal Seal. It was written on parchment with a slight pink tint and bore the seal of Her Highness, Nikki L'Evienne.
Dearest Elmaryia,
Thank you so much for your kind words and thughts. I can not tell you how much the support that we have received means to myself and Milo. Nell was indeed an exceptional woman and we miss her dreadfully. We are doing what we can, though, and I promise you that such letters as yours help us to manage.
Thank you again, my friend.
Yours,

Your Imperial Excellency,
Greetings from the Imperial Capital!
It is unfortunate that this missive comes on tidings of bad news. No doubt you have already heard of the troubles befalling us, though I must confess that this falls more under your husband's remit than yours.
Normally news of this nature should be addressed directly to Her Excellency the Governor, though I have thought it best to direct them to you. You may, of course, share this with her as you see fit. This comes on the heels of the disaster the befell them in Optia of last era.
I enclose a missive sent to me by a subordinate last Kalendryas. This is secret and not to be disclosed beyond anyone except the Governor or your husband, should you see fit. I give notice that all details indicated therein are true, and I specifically direct you or the Governor, in the Regent's name, not to perform any act or acts to further inflame the issue. I specifically request that no forces or even travel by any person take place anywhere within ten miles from the city of Archadoon. This issue was raised at a closed court meeting of the Council of the Crown in Kalendryas, and efforts are underway to resolve this situation.
We shall communicate further in this regard, but I would like to suggest that plans be drawn up for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Archadoon and her people for the meantime. We stand ready to assist you in any regard in this.
Fair winds always,
Alexis Sapientia
Imperial Minister of War.

It has come to my attention that a group of armed men tried to enter the city of Archadoon to examine the lack of imperial responses coming from the city. By now word has probably reach you regarding the events of the fire, the peoples temperament and the deaths of the men on the docks of the city. I do so wish those deaths had not happened as, in truth the situation is almost out of my hands because of them. When I had learned of Archadoon's situation I Feared that such a hatred of the imperial army would arise so I sent, a group there to investigate. A group not officiated directly with us. I sent the Raven's Wing. A Mercenary group that had at one time, existed within Archadoon's walls. I sent them without the Ministry knowledge simply because I was uncertain if the plan would work and so thought such information was only important if it did. I see now that was a mistake.
I was going to send a response containing the good fortune we had achieved in obtaining the peoples trust when..this happened. My plan was to have the peaple slowly introduced back into the army folds. Yet, instead a armed group showed up and the inevitable High tension broke. The results of which are as you have seen. They are willing to fight to the death now, as they have nothing more to loose. Only the land itself holds meaning to them now. Everything else was claimed by the fire.

A messenger clad in the brown shades of the Trysvale Constabulary arrived at the estates of the Imperial Consul of Carmelyn in Diana. He had with him a scroll tube sealed with the stamp of the House Leonardes. It was from Elmaryia's husband, Straylor. The Thane had even ordered the messenger to purchase some eight dozen roses to accompany his letter.
At least Straylor was never one to limit himself on romantics. It read:
Quote:
To my darling wife,
How are you, love? Trysvale is still cold but we're working toward a reconstruction plan that should turn the economy around before Summer hits. The farms are lovely, as always, though I hope that you were with me more often.
I will be in Eunesia for the next two months. News of the tides require my immediate attention. I will send word once I'm there.
I pray that you are doing well and that you're thinking of me as much I do, you.
