#69 Moraden Way, Dante Asunder's Studio Apartment (aka one room hovel)

The 'studio apartment' was comfortable. The bed was slightly disheveled from having been slept in, but it was descent sized for a human of regular size. There is a large wardrobe with one side where long garments, such as gowns, could be hung; on the floor of this section sits a common, but empty knapsack. The other side has a dresser section with several small drawers for personal items, etc. There is an open section above the dresser where shirts and pants could be hung as well In this section hangs two of three possible outfits: an elf sized dark blue coat with matching tunic, trousers, and shoes; a human sized black coat with a matching tunic, trousers and boots; or a common pilgrims robe that for some reason has two large slits in the back. Next to the bed was an end table with a small candle. Next to the wardrobe is a two person table with one chair. On one side of the table there is a larger candle there and an inkwell with a quill within it. Near the candle was a small pouch. On the other side of the table is a bowl with a pitcher full of water inside of it. A small towel is folded up hanging over the side of the bowl. If one were to open it they would find several different colors of sealing wax. There was an empty tub turned upside down on the wardrobe that could be placed rightside up on the floor for bathing purposes.

21st brightening of the First Cycle of Pontius. Winter, Era XV Post Fractum

Dante returned to his home and preped a bath. He wanted to make sure he was cleaned up and presentable before he went to see Hatorania. First things first. Dante focused on the image of the Medonian elf that he had used before. He imagined his hair long and dark. He gave himself pointed ears and eyes the violet of a beautiful evening sky. Dante sat cross legged on the ground and imagined the change from his true form to that of the dark haired elf. He gritted his teeth as he felt the pain of bones shifting and muscles realinging. His brow dripped with sweat and his eyes were full of intense concentration. He breathed past the pain of the transformation and after a quarter candlemark went to see himself in the mirror.

Satisfied with the outcome he bathed, dressed in his dark blue attire, then headed out the door for the Tower of Serenity.

3rd brightening of Ioannes, just after midbrightening, Era XV post fractum

Dante entered his hovel with a loud sneeze. <WACHOO!!!> His dracon sneeze sent dust and cobwebs flying all about the room prompting another sneeze. He had planned on going to visit Hatorania as soon as arriving, but realizing the state of his abode he decided to clean up a little bit first.

He set his gear down on the bed to another cloud off dust. He took several careful steps to the corner where his dusty broom resided. He took several sweeps with the broom, before heading to the door and proped it open with a chair so the apartment could air out a bit. He started smacking his broom off on the door frame getting some of the dust off of it before heading back into the apartment. He began up high this time, using the broom to brush dust off the furniture and get the cobwebs out of the corner.

He worked his way towards the floor dumping as much dust as the dustpan would hold at a time outside. Once the dust problem was under control he took the straw out of his matress and soaked it in his tube to kill whatever insects had taken up residence in it while he was gone. He set the straw out on the table to dry and pushed the table to the window so that the sun could facilitate it.

As the straw dried Dante started to unpack. He hung his changes of clothes in the closet so the wrinkles could start to come out of them. He then set his weapons out on the floor cleaning any that required it. He set his autocrossbow in the closet with the quiver of bolts. He then set his daggers into the drawers keeping his long daggers out just in case.

He went and fetched water from the nearest well. He then started to warm it up for a bath. Dante then sat down on the floor crosslegged and took out his picture of the medonian elf he had received from his shape changing Paktarss from the Wings of Zalteria in Tyrsvale. He imagined his dracon form. Then pictured his scales turning to skin, his wings and tail retracting into his back. He envisioned his snout receding until it was an elvish face and ears protruding from his head shaping to points. He imagined hair growing long and dark down his back and his eyes changing to a violet hue. He saw his claws turn into hands and his feet change form. He then grit his teeth and braced for the pain that washed over him.

He felt his features changing and tried to scream out, but his breath was gone. He felt the beads of sweat start running down his body and heard the pops of his bones and muscles realigning to fit his new form. He sucked in air whenever possible and finally gasped exhausted as the change process came to an end. He stayed seated for a few moments before rising to his feet and stumbling to the bathing tub to examine his new seeming. Satisfied he climbed into the tub and gave himself a well needed scrub.

After he finished he climbed out of the tub and checked the straw to see how dry it was. Still damp, Dante rotated the strands around so that the more moist ones were towards the top then headed to the closet and started to dress in his elven garb. Once finished he headed out the door for the Tower of Serenity.
