Ponitus, 3rd cycle, 2nd brightening, 16th candlemark, Era XIV

It was time. Dante decided to start spreading the word about his new venture. Dante wanted to hide his identity so he changed his seeming. Sitting cross legged on the floor, so as not to collapse, Dante pictured the Dark elf. He saw his body change and felt the pain as his tail and wings disappeared. Panting heavily, he sat on the floor and caught his breath.

Dante rinsed the sweat off himself and went to the bed where his clothes lie. They would be a little baggy, but they would have to do. Dante strapped on his two daggers, then began to go into clara. He focused on a spot in the distance, until all else was gone. He then closed his eyes. Once in clara, he pictured his muscles tightening and his vision sharpening. He then used his vis to direct the ara to cause that effect.

Once ready Dante realized he still needed a name for an alternate identity. He thought for a while. "Joe" he decided. He tucked his visa into his boot and headed for the door. Once outside Dante turned towards the seedier part of town. "As good a place as any to start" He walked through cheapside looking for a pub that he felt would be the best place to start.

The part of town was located as far from the center of the city as possible and still be located with in the city walls. All of the once beautiful palaces and mansions in this secotor of town were now turned into multi family complex. The people still kept the streets cleaned having turned the hallway so these new aparment complexs into their gathering points.

Dante wasn't entirely sure how to proceed. He headed towards one of the more crowded meeting areas. Dante looked for someone who looked like they might be interested in what he was selling, perhaps someone with a knife or someone who looks like trouble. "Psst... Hey buddy, Do you know where I could buy a dagger?" He figured he would test the water before revealing anything.

The blonde human Dante had approached with the question simply laughed mockingly, "A dagger, you say? That's awful cheap. Well, why do you want to purchase one?" The man stood at equal height with the newly-transformed Dark Elf, and kept a wide grin of mischief on his face. The man eyed the two daggers the elf already possessed, with a keen interest.

The crowds kept moving, ignoring the two as though the latter were having a secret transaction. Everyone kept to themselves and walked on their merry way towards better prospects on such a bright sunny day.

Dante's eyes narrowed slightly at the fellow. "I'm looking to upgrade the ones I own. I heard there was someone in town who would help you out if you were looking for a weapon. This seemed like a good place to start asking around."

The man coughed, changing his demeanor from nonchalant to serious, "You heard what now? I don't think you heard anything, dracon. You best be going on your way now. There's no good in you meddling in that stuff. Don't you know there's a weapons ban? Honestly, who will sell to you?!" His eyes were made smaller, and the tiniest wink could be seen in his right eye as though perhaps dust caught in his eye.

He looked upset and walked away rather quickly, turning to look over his shoulder once. The man made some sharp turns through the streets, walking rapidly away.

Dante stepped back shocked. His eyes narrowed dangerously, "How did he know I was a Dracon?" Dante thought to himself. Watching the man leave he headed for someplace private. If his darkelf seeming was so bad, he better try something else. He headed over to an inn nearby and rented a room for an hour.

He pulled some of the pictures out of his pocket that he had received from his trainer at the Wings of Zalteria and decided on a new appearance. He selected a regular elf this time. Sitting down on the floor, Dante changed out of his clothes. He focused on the picture of the elf in his head. He envisioned his body changing color then his features and dimensions stretching and shifting to fit the new persona. Gritting his teeth against the pain he felt his features change. After the pain subsided he rinsed himself off in the wash basin and checked his reflection.

The new disguise suited Dante much better, and was not likely to be recognized for who he really was. He would have to be careful, however, for those with weapons in Diana were highly-skilled and very well-hidden. It was not likely those in direct possession or those with the means of attaining weapons would be walking out and about during the day. In fact, disguised or not, Dante would have to search near and far to find someone with the right information. Only a keen ear might pick up some information.

Dante's reflection mirrored that of a regular elf with azure eyes and fair brown hair. The hair hung loosely around his eyes, granting him a slightly mysterious look that would do well for his intentions. The clothes Dante had changed into were of a deepest blue, the color of the night sky. Dante should have been proud at how well he had changed into the regular elf.

As the candlemark was nearing its end, should Dante decide to leave the room he would find that it was still very light out. No one looked suspicious in any way, but perhaps it was because the dracon was in too nice a part of Diana where families went for strolls and women were heading to do some shopping.

Dante was pleased with his new look. He definetly was hoping to spread the word on his new venture without detection this way. Dante headed out of the inn and back to the water front. Once again he headed for a questionable part of town.

He headed into a tavern and up to the bar. Feigning intoxication, Dante ordered 'another' drink. He drained it in one gulp. Then calling the bartender close he whispered (still in a drunken act), "I hear (hic) that there is a source in town for weapons if you willing to pay to get one. You see I got a problem I need to solve (burp)."

Dante's idea was simple. I would keep dropping hints about someone being in the weapons sales business in different guises so that he wouldn't be directly connected to it by any of the people he spoke to. Once it was common enough he would start dropping a name to ask for until business started coming to him. He hoped that in this way he would be able to avoid any unwanted attention.

The bartender raised and eyebrow. "Well that would be news to me since Weapons are not to be sold with in the city." He said glancing over at some plain dressed men.

Dante turned and looked at the plain dressed men. He eyed them for a moment and sent out the call to check for dracon's. Dante turned back to the bartender. In a very quite and slurred voice whispered, "very well I'll check somewhere else, but let this just be between us okay?" Dante then stumbled out of the bar and headed down the street. Once he gets out of sight of the bar Dante makes for an alley. He conceals himself in the shadows and holds as still as he can and crouched low waiting to see if anyone is following him. Dante wondered who these men in the plain clothes might be if they would be anyone at all.

Neither registered as draconic, but a man in another cornor pinged.

Only a few minutes later did he see one of them poke his head outside and look in the direction that Dante had traveled, before following, slowlly but firmly.

Dante stayed hidden and waited for the man to pass him, assuming he wasn't spotted. He would then follow behind him and given the opportunity find out if he was being followed and who this gentleman was.

The man was suttle about it but every so often gave the signs he was looking for someone. It only lasted for about ten mintues before the man sighed and turned to head back to the tavern. His whole body language relaxed and changed.

Dante decided to change tactics. He tried to sneak up behind the man, walking only when the man walked just with larger strides. Once he got close enough he would hold one of his daggers to the man's back and whisper, "why are you following me?" If he was spotted he would still ask the question only in a normal speaking voice.
