Begining of Fall XIII Post Fractum

Dante wandered the streets in his human seeming. He wore a black coat with a white tunic, black trousers and black boots. He was carrying a quill with an ink vial and some parchment to record the thoughts of the average Dianite.

His goal today was to find out the public's opinion on the weapon sales and manufacturing ban in Diana. He stayed on the main streets and questioned pretty much everyone he came into contact with. If anyone was out he walked up to them and introduced himself thus, "Excuse me citizen, I'm a reporter for the Divine News and Gossip. Could you spare a second to answer a few questions?"

A common work man who was dressed in the clothing of a everyday work man looked at reporter. "Sure."

"Thank you very much sir. Can I get your name? I won't use it in the paper if you don't want me to. Firstly, do you feel the city is a safe place for honest citizens of the Empire? After scribbling his answer Dante would probe a little deeper "Why do you think that?" After giving him some time to answer and writing down as much as he could he would continue with, "Do you think that individuals would be safer if they could purchase weapons here in the city?" Once he wrote down the answer he would finish up with, "Were you aware that the tower of Serenity doesn't instruct their students in the usage of attack spells? If the city were to face an enemy of magical nature wouldn't you feel more secure knowing that the magic users in this city could defend it?" Dante wrote down all the answers and then thanked the man for his time.

The man looks at the reporter before him. "Marrio Thopran."

"Oh course Diana is a safe place. It is the center of the Church of the Gods. How could this city not be safe with the Gods blessing us."

"I say that its a good thing. Remember Julian the Mad. Who could stand having thoughts power mashines with any more power."

"I'm glad to see you still have faith in the Gods, as you should. You recall when the statue of Diana crumbled, do you feel the Gods are truly happy with the way we are doing things?"

Dante wrote down Marrio's comments and thanked him for his time. He then moved on to look for a different person to question.

A young mother was trying to heard a crowd of two children down the road while balancing their little sister on her hip and a empty basket in the other. She seemed fairly procient at this task almost as if it was a daily routine.

Dante smiled at the woman, "Do you need a hand miss?" If she refused or aquiesced Dante would introduce himself. "I'm a reporter for the Divine news and Gossip can I ask you a few questions?"

The mother of three looked at her children with a look of skepticism, as if to say, 'Have patience, dears.' She tried her best to smile at the person that had just offered his help to her, but she kindly refused, lifting up her daughter, Lillian. She tried pushing her sons in front of her trying to keep her eye on them. It would be easy to lose them as they had a knack for wandering away.

She nodded with a very small sigh, having other things to do, but agreed regardless, "Yes... go ahread and ask me, but please do hurry!" Her green eyes looked kindly on her daughter as she tapped her nose. The mother made a silly face at her and smiled happily.

Dante gave the woman a friendly smile. "First can I get your name? I won't use it in the paper if you don't want."

"Tell me, in light of recent events, such as the dracon burning and the statue of Diana crumbling; do you feel that Diana is a safe place for the everyday Dianite?"

"Do you approve of the weapon sales ban? and if so do you think those who really want weapons are really stopped from getting weapons if they really want them?"

"Were you aware that the tower of Serenity doesn't teach offensive spells? What is your opinion on that?"

"Lastly can you tell me what you do for a living and how many children you have?"

Dante then thanks her for her time and goes on looking for another person to interview.

The woman appeared a little disconcerted that he so quickly asked her name, but she answered him anyway, "I wouldn't want it in the papers... as it is I'm not looked kindly upon here in Diana by some of my neighbors. Oh how they talk! Women's business, you understand?" and she paused momentarily as though possibly making up a name, "It's Alicia. I take it you know how to spell that?"

The woman made sure to turn around constantly, keeping constant vigilance on her two sons. She appeared more worried for them than the words coming from Dante's mouth. She made a tiny 'tsst' sound, thinking, "Those ... well, things like that don't always happen 'round these parts, but I have to say I am a bit worried, of course. Overall, Diana is still safe... unless something beyond what I know is going on.

"Now, now... I'm not for weapons! Look at my children, running wildly as it is. The last thing I want is for the sale of weapons to continue. Violence should be avoided at all costs. Mentioning it, though, if someone really wanted a weapon they need only look so far - there are places, you know!" the woman shrugged, too concerned with her own busy life to notice the crime rate. She wasn't the best educated woman, nor the most informed.

Alicia's eyes darkened and her eyes narrowed, "Don't you be tellin' nobody now, you hear? To be perfectly honest I think the Tower of Serenity ought to teach all it can. I'm for arcana... it's not everyone that can learn it. I'd be confident not too many evil-doers pass through there with lessons on their belt."

The woman's look resumed its kindness at the last question the reporter was asking her, "Oh dear... just these three wild children o' mine. As for my living, I work at Terasen's, though I am a bit new there," she smiled at Dante as best she could while rounding up her children and the bag of shopping she had done earlier.

The woman went on her merry way lecturing her boys as she did so, asking them to stop being so free and wild. Secretly, she was smiling at their ways - so much like their father.

A bearded and gruff-looking man walked by Dante, seemingly paying him no mind, but looked at him curiously from his peripheral vision.

Dante smiled at the woman as she left. He turned and called after the bearded man, "Excuse me good sir? Could you spare a moment?"

When Dante catches up to the man he introduces himself, "My name is Dante. I'm a reporter for the Divine News and Gossip. Can I ask you a few questions please?"

The man grunted, and though he had been curious and didn't mind a little fame, he was also annoyed to have been stopped on his way to get a bite to eat and perhaps a little something to drink. However, he stopped for the reporter, and mumbled a very quick, "Sure thing."

His rough hands ran through his shoulder-length hair, pulling it back away from his face. In doing so the man revealed a scar through and over his left eyebrow. Again, he grunted, telling the reporter to hurry it up, "Ask quickly or I will leave. I'm in a hurry to grab some food now." The man spoke in an unrecognizable accent, and tapped his boots impatiently on the city pavement. A small grumble came from his stomach, but he ignored it, and just looked angrily at the reporter.

Dante only smiled at the fellows seeming irritability, "certainly sir, Firstly can I get your name? I won't use it in the paper if you don't want."

Dante carefully wrote down the man's answers. Then in a form of gratitude he tossed the man a coin, "For you lunch fund. Thanks for your time."

"Thats a lot of question mister. The burning of the Draco, ehh who cares, riots occur a lot in this city, and the few powerful mages the better, we still have big whole in the center of the city from a mage."

"I do wish we could actually make weapons aviable."

With his information Dante headed back to the office to write it all up.
