Dante showed up for his rendevous with the elf maiden from the tower of serenity. He had managed to find a bath and arrange accomadations for the night for himself so was all set to spend a relaxing evening with some pleasant company.

A few moments latter the young woman walked in and looked around the inn. She was still dressed in her work clothing. She pulled back her hood to let her long hair cascade down her back. She paused for a moment looking around searching for the young man who had asked her to join him.

The inn was only partly full tonight. Most of the current guests were of a religious nature. Weather that be pilgrims or priests they all sat quietly at there tables just sipping there drinks or consuming there food.

Month of Imperios first brightening of the fifth cycle a few candlemarks until sundown.

She was as stunning as ever. Dante arose and walked up to the elf maiden. "I'm so glad you made it," Dante stated as he offered to take her cloak and walk her to the table.

Dante looked around and got a lay of the room as he walked back to the table. It was more out of habit than anything, but hey when you've been through as many close scrapes as he has you get a little weary.

Just as a safety precaution he sent out with the call to see if any 'friends' were nearby. Then smiling at his guest helped her with her seat and called the hostess over so they could order some food and drinks.

The elf maiden smiled and removed her cloak handing it over to the gentleman who had asked her to dinner. It wasn’t often that she was asked out by people. She was a secretary so saw a lot of people but most were either not interested or just were scared. She followed her host to her seat where she was surprised to find that he held a chair out for her. She was unaware of any call but sat waiting for her host, Dante, to take a seat.

Dante couldn’t feel any return calls, but that was not saying much. The hostess came over and looked at the two not recognizing either as frequent guests. “We have pot pie, Chicken and potatoes, or pork with some vegetables.” She looked back and forth between them.

Dante smiled up at the hostess, "I will have the pork and vegetables." He then looked over at his date expectantly, interested to see what she would order. Once she did he also asked "Can we have a bottle of wine as well please?" He glanced over at the elven maiden to verify that it was okay with her.

After the hostess leaves, Dante looks over at his date.

"You may have noticed from my registration, but my name is Dante. I was so nervous about asking you to dinner I forgot to ask your name. Umm, what is it?"

The elf maiden thought about it and then said. “The pot pie please.” She said quietly and then turned to look at her date. Her long hair hung attractively around her face her large elvish eyes seemed to be full of peace and tranquility. She smiled a gentle smile at her date as he asked for wine. She nodded her head showing her support for the choice.

She laughed as he asked her name. It was a kind gentle laugh. “I am not sure if I should feel complimented or insulted.” Her laugh was bright and clear and friendly. “My name is Hatorania.” The waitress looked between them and smiled. “I will be right out with that food for you to.” Then she hurried and bustled away.

Hatorania looked at her date for a moment biting her lip as if wondering who to say something then finally she said. “So tell me a little about yourself.”

"Hatoriana, what a beautiful name." Dante looked nervous for a moment. "Please, don't be offended. I can't help it if your beauty is enchanting."

He watched the waitress hurry off. "Well," Dante thought for a moment, "I am most recently from Tearsfall. I lived there for several years. As you know I have most recently come to Diana and plan on becoming a thaumaturgist."

"How about you?"

Dante felt a little uncomfortable about letting his date know he is a Dracon, but it wouldn't do him any good to keep it a secret and he knew it. This place really isn't suited to talk about things to personal, Dante decided to himself. Perhaps if it were a little slower. He would tell her, he convinced himself, just not until the opportune moment.

Hatoriana blushed and smiled. “Well thank you.” She said and listened for a little longer as he talked. “I have lived in Diana for several eras now. I love the city here, and have been enjoying working at the Tower.”

“I personally am happy with were I am in life. I enjoy helping people everyday. And you get to meet a verity of people.” She paused. “Before that I lived in Silrosia, but found it to be a little stifling. So that is one of the reasons I came to this city.”

“So what caused you to live Tearsfall?”

Dante listened intently to Hitoriana explain about herself.

When asked the question, he paused for a moment. "I felt my life needed direction, something I really couldn't find myself getting in Tearsfall. It's a nice enough town as towns go, but I really felt I should come here."

"So do you get asked out alot? With all these new people you're meeting I can't imagine I am the first to request time with you."

The young elf woman smiled a broad grin. "I do get a number of young men who try to flirt with me. Few of them actually ask me on a date. Morst just say something cheese or just blush and act innocent." She said with a chuckle. "So what are some of the goals you have in your life. Besides learning Thuam?"

Just as she finished asking that the owner of the inn marched forward with the ordered food. "Well there you are dears. I hope you enjoy your date with each other." She gave them a motherly grin as she glanced between the two of them. "Is there anything else I can do for you?"

Dante smiled at Hitoriana's laugh, it was like beautiful music. He was in big trouble, falling hard you might say. In spite of previous romances, he hadn't felt like this about anybody ever before, especially this fast which is what worried him slightly.

Dante looked up at the innkeeper, not blushing, because he was actually to happy for that, but politely replied that he was good for now then looking over at Hitoriana to make sure she to was satisfied thus far. Dante was actually grateful for the moment to consider his answer to her question. It probably wouldn't go over well if he said he wanted to be a freelance assasin, but that was where he was thinking of heading professionally.

After the innkeeper left, Dante looked back at Hitoriana, "Would you like some wine?" Dante picked up the bottle to pour for her and for himself even if she declined.

"Now where were we? Ahh yes my 'other' goals. Well I suppose professionally I'd have to say that I'm still looking for something that fits me. I admit that was another reason I came to Diana. I felt the opportunities in Tearsfall weren't all that impressive, unless one wanted to become a farmer, but that isn't for me. As far as romance goes I assume I want what most people want someone to care for that cares for them. I hope to get married someday, but I am in no big hurry, especially until I get a little more stable in the other aspects of my life."

"How about you? Do you have any other goals in life?"

The woman smiled again. "I have some goals in life. Mostly concisting on evenutally finding a husband and have children. There are some other goals I have. Becomeinig a great scholar but beyond that I wants in life are simple."

Dante absorbed her words and for a moment realized that no matter what else happens he would remain friends with this elf maiden for as long as she would tolerate his presence. It surprised him greatly that there would be someone so wholesome, for lack of another word, still here in the world. In his experience people were out for themselves and none could appreciate the simple pleasures in life. This didn't seem to be the case with Hatorania.

"Well depending on what you're looking for in a husband I can't forsee you having any trouble in adquiring one. So a scholar huh? of anything in particular or everything in general?"

She smiled. "History, politics, and current events." She said with a smile. "There is just so much going on." She said with a smile. "It is a fasinating subject since all three effect each other so intimately. They are like a complicated dances." Her face said as it took on an excited look. "I mean look at the delicate dance going on now between the intendant and the goverment."

Dante was more than a little impressed. "You sound very passionate about it. I have to say I am somewhat ignorant of the situation please by all means enlighten me and share your opinion." Dante looked her square in the face with intense interest although not too intense so as to make her uncomfortable.

He was definitly interested in learning about the situation, but admittedly interest in things like politics seemed an indulgence in his former lifestyle, one that he didn't partake in too often. With his new career choices however he was earnestly interested and would eat up anything this lovely scholar had to say.
