ooc: This shop is PC owned and moderated daily. During the month
of Imperos, it will be in various stages of disarray as the owner moves in.
Description:
Set on Lindvell Lane just a short walk from The Leap of Faith Inn, a good sized brick building peacefully rests halfway down this busy commercial street labeled with the number 23. While the windows are wide and invite browsing, decorative wrought iron shaped in swirls resembling blowing wind protects them from entry and provides a back drop for the owner to affix metal shutters to protect precious glass when the Dragon Winds blow fierce. There is a small sign that hangs above the entrance. It reads:
Inside, the building can be described as elegant, gleaming with polish and shine. With three waist-high counters brought all the way from Nexus Prime forms a U with the opening towards the entrance, the architecture leads the eye to move around the inventory, getting a fill of what exactly is for sale within. Each counter comes with a single overstuffed forest green velvet chair that rolls easily to and from its resting place. A small couch rests in the middle of the room with well-meaning end tables holding refreshments flanking either side of it. Beneath it, covering the gleaming hardwoods, is a woven rug tied by a master weaver in shades of deep greens, violets and burgundies. An elegant pitcher of water sits alongside the couch. Above the couch, a massive gleaming chandelier hangs, dripping with cut glass gems and interwoven with what appear to be metallic humming birds feeding at the gems themselves.
The counters are formed of some dark-stained wood that has been richly varnished and polished until they shined like a mirror. Lining the top two feet of each counter is a glass covering that slides open from the back and allows customers a clear view of the wares of the store that are placed on sheets of satin and velvet.
Within each display case are a multitude of precious and semi-precious stones both cut and uncut or various sizes and shapes. Alongside them in a most decorative way are pieces of jewelry that seem more at home upon a queen's neck or in a museum even. From pendants to rings, necklaces to tiaras, they all have something in common; those of the brilliant luster of beautifully cut and polish gems and precious metals.
In the back Viskyia Crow is usually found laboring diligently in a large workshop. A bank of window allows her to catch notice of those customers entering the store before the door even closes. She works quietly, alone, enjoying the time she spends creating her jewelry. One might even catch her humming as she works. It would be easy for someone to observe that the girl was not fully human. Viskyia has almost Esh features, and displays a small nose, incredibly pale almost white skin, slightly pointed ears, and wide startling citrine eyes. Her hair is usually twisted into a knot at the nap of her neck to save it from the fires of the forge and hazards of her work. One can tell there is quite a bit of it, as part of it always seems to escape its confinements. The female owner is most likely dressed in men’s work clothing, tunics and boys pants of heavy fabric to protect her arms and legs from forge burns. Most customers would notice, that if it’s hot and Viskyia has the forge going, she’d have her sleeves rolled almost all the way up, or an altogether sleeveless tunic on. Beneath it, her arms are tightly muscled. If they are lucky enough to have her wait on them in front, they’d see that for all that she’s slight of build, she moves like a Zinn’ka artist, slow, deliberate, and controlled.
Before anyone can call out for help or aid, a tiny voice politely calls attention to its owner.
"Serale, my good friends! Is there something that I may help you with?" A voice seemed to materialize out of thin air.
Looking down from the source of that voice is a small brownie climbing up to greet the customers. One can barely hold back a laugh or stifle a grin towards the gaudily dressed fae. From his three-pointed hat to his billowing shirt and pants, to the tips of his silver-belled shoes, the brownie flows in silks that are in every known color of Telath and probably some more that are not! A friendly, if diminutive smile crosses his features as he removes his jingling hat and bows most modestly.
"I am Furloin Thimblequick! Are you browsing or buying? Can I help you find something? Oh, this would look lovely on you…"
A large carved price list hung up at the back of the shop flanked by two sconces of flowers and candles. The lettering was permanent, but the numbers were removable for ease in reflecting current market prices.

Saka slowly opened the door and went inside looking around at everything before closing it as he took an step inside. "Hello, My name is Saka and I would like to know something. I do not wish to buy or sell as of yet but I was wonding if you were looking for help. I was looking for an part time job for nights as I go to classes mainly for nights. Could you help me?" He said calming with an smile on his face.

The counters were in place... so was the furniture. However, the rest of the shop was filled with crates and boxes and equipment littered all over the place. She didn't even really have one display set up the way she wanted it... moving the display cases into place was considered a minor victory unto itself, in the half-esh's mind. So when a customer walked in, Viskyia assumed a somewhat blank expression (mainly to cover her panic at not really being open yet) and then smiled her relief. Lords, sometimes the Gods did provide.
"Serale. I'm Viskyia... Nice to meet you Saka." Her words were interrupted by two boisterous boys.. one elf, one human who came tearing through the shop. "Stop running... and are you guys finished unpacking those books?" She asked them, knowing full well they'd given up the task for play. She didn't really blame them herself. In fact, if Saka looked closer, he'd find four more children playing, one a dwarf, scattered throughout the shop, workroom, and in a vault that was wide open off the workroom. "Sorry its such a mess.... We're just getting set up. Tell me about yourself.. .you want to work nights? The shop isn't really open at night, but I can use lots of afternoon evening help to get this place organized and ready to open... and how are you at wandering around? I've been meaning to go rock hounding, but should really take an assistant with me..... I'm not sure though, its not everyones cup of tea." She said, unsure of what sort of classes he was taking or what sort of work he was interested in. "I have a clerk already, if thats what your looking for. In the jewelry business, you need to know a bit about jewelry to sell it... but I do have a need for other sorts of help." Viskyia said, suddenly turning to chastise a girl who was opening a crate filled with dangerous cutting blades in the workroom. "No.. those are sharp Myra.. I wouldn't if I were you... try looking for the pillows for the couch in here.. they are in a big crate that I think I already opened.. and light enough for you to carry." Viskyia said, gently steering the dark haired child away from danger.
She turned back to the stranger, grinning apologetically. "I'm sorry for the interruptions. We just got off the ferry today... honestly. I had all the stuff shipped, but ... well.... I've more boxes at home to unpack too. By all that glitters, its a bit much..."
Saka smiled at her and the people around. Everything was a mess but it felt nice, people running, a bit of chaos with the safe touch. "Greetings, it's is all right. I enjoy to travel and look at new things and places. I would love to work in the afternoons and evenings. I am sure school will just take an few hours when I have class. I am fast at learning things."He said as he moved to the side as an pillow was trossed near him.
"I am training to become an mage of the elements and I am sure that can come to use for you." He said as he smiled at her, it was an happy smile that met his eyes.

"Oh up at the University? Thats great... whats Elementalism like? I've never known one... do you have a specialty?" She asked curiously, then picked up another heavy box, setting it up on a counter.
"I can pay 35 gc a cycle with a raise to 45 gc after autumn. And extra of course if you want to take trips with me. At first it will just be unpacking things, cleaning, decorating.. maybe some paint... pretty mundane stuff, but after the shop is set up, we will definitely be exploring some of the island. I have no problems working around your schooling, and if you need time off to study, no problem. I might even recruit you to help up at the house.. though I really need to hire a housekeeper and groundsman... know anyone good?" She said looking hopeful, all the while picking up a small crowbar and prying the lid off the crate. Viskyia was like that, always busy. "So tell me about yourself... are you from Demios or someplace else?" The Jeweler asked politely. "We're, Furloin and I... hes my brownie assistant, are from Nexus Prime and the kids are from Paxia." She offered, trying to ease any shyness the elf might have.
"I am still bound but my mother was an very powerful mage of the elements so I learn alot from her but she would not unbind me kept telling me if I wanted to do it I had to wait until I did it in a safe area like an school. I asked her what it was like to do what she did, She said it was like waking from an long nap feeling refresh, when you used the powers of the elements it felt like taking an frist breath." He said as he wacthed her feeling more at ease.
"No I came from an small village off the coast in the west, I came here about two years ago just now moving in really and getting everything ready as I might had lived here but I never stayed here." He said as he blinked thinking back to his childhood. Time seemed so slow, his thoughts of the past so fresh.
"I can paint, unpack, move things, clean houses, work with gardens. My father helped me learn how to do things with your hands and own body without putting everything on magic. He enjoyed to run around with me." He said softly near the end. "The only things I cant really do is cook, do riddles and such. The pay is good and will help pay for my meals and some of school. I plan to work at the school now and then to pay for some of the classes but that wont get in the way for here."

Viskyia smiled then. "Then we have something in common. I can't cook either... only soup and thats a stretch. But it sounds like you had a rich life growing up, surrounded by magic. That must have been fascinating and frustrating all at once, your mother making you wait for formal training. She sounds really wise." Viskyia added, gesturing to a group of boxes. "You can start there if you have time today... I will pay your fee every 10th day at the cycle change, and any trips at that time too.... if that sounds great, we have a deal." Viskyia added. She'd take the time to give him a tour of the shop a bit later, and get him to help her move some stuff from her home down to the shop, things she'd forgotten to unload on the way down. It was going to be a busy cycle, for sure, and she was really glad for the extra help.
ooc: Shall we start a new thread? Just getting to know one another and roaming about the island collecting rocks? You can post one and I will definitely jump in.
He smiled softly. "Yeah it was very much so, my father was an knight blade for hire so he helped me alot. Rich hrm not really alot of fighting now and then, moving around yeah it was rich in that idea." He said as he moved stepping to the side of one of the many kids.
As he went to the boxes. He felt he would enjoy working here being with her more so. She knew alot and felt trusting. He was more at peace in his inner self when he felt that and smiled agian. He never really did smile before now before demios.
OOC: Sure we can that would be fun and yeah

Timestamp: Second brightening of the First cycle of Imperos, in the season of Autumn, era II of the Celestine Mandate, era XIV Post Fractum
All the way from Nexus he travelled, fortunately not even close to all by boat, and finally he had arrived. It had been a very long trip he was sure to relay to the owner of this business, and given a bit of his mind wondering why she had decided to shutdown in Nexus Prime. Maybe business had been very poor or maybe it was opportunities were better here. Whatever the case he knew nothing about the owner of this business besides her name. He had asked abit around about her wares and goods, getting all good reports, and thus that was the only reason he travelled so far to buy goods from her. She had best be very nice and give him good deals and offers, for he planned to spend a fortune.
Deimos seemed to be quite busy as well with the festival and all, and because of that not only were the streets packed, but the ship had been a complete nightmare. He disliked travel on sea enough, but to travel on it with a ship full of happy people looking to enjoy their time and spend Stephan nearly lost it. Murder spree came into mind a couple of times when he was at his most sea sick. However, all was pretty well now, he had a full stomach and was free of any sickness. Fortunate for those he was about to do business with. He had seen many stores in the city he wished to visit, Fire Isle Jewelry was just number one.
After a bit of a walk Stephan's eyes trailed back and forth until he finally saw the place he was looking for. Looking up he had seen the interesting sign first and the building, which showed a bit of the jewelers taste. He hoped everything he heard about this jeweler lived up to the hype. Truly though, he had heard she was half Esh’lahier, and it was yet another reason he travelled all this way. That mention had brought back memories of his earlier times of pursuing by the Andares ladies, fine Esh’lahier beauties. He had never wooed either of them, but their exotic beauty had always left a very deep impression on him. However, never had he pursued another Esh’lahier after them. But, should this be the final moments of his existence, he wanted just another moment to look upon one, to enjoy the company, even if it was business. Truly that was such a very minor reasoning. He was sure his final times were upon him, he was just preparing himself for it, enjoying one last time in everything that had brought joy in his life.
Entering the establishment Stephan adorned in his dark black obsidianite armor, with its silver trimming, large sword at his side and one upon his black, his black boots made his presence known as they carried him throughout the building. Looking back and forth among the wares his dark blue eyes looked over all the goods the owner had on display, his dark brown hair, appearingly black, flowed among his shoulders dancing everytime he looked about. Finally, Stephan looked up to see a fae flutter in from a back room. Wasn't hard to miss him, but Stephan was attuned to picking up such company. The establishment was empty at this time, but it appeared it had been picking up business, though by looking around he noticed it also appeared that the business wasn't fully up and running yet.
"Uh yes, I believe you can. I am looking to make large purchases of necklaces, anklets, rings, bracelets, earrings, and gems. My daughter's birthday is coming up. Plus, I am looking to stock up on gems for gifts to friends of mine." Stephan watched the fae to see his reaction, the overly decorated fellow a hilarious sight truly, but he refrained from smiling or laughing outright at him. He was going to be working at length with him, and his boss, which he hoped to meet. "Since I will be purchasing plenty of goods I will require heavy customization of many; I was wondering if I may be able to meet the owner of this business and speak directly with her." Stephan smiled, looking a bit around at the goods about him before giving full attention back to the fae.
Furloin could smell money. He was simply just like that. Even dressed outrageously in his favorite zoot suite of orange (in honor of the Dragon Festival) he was indeed quick up tot he counter and even quicker still to greet what he perceived as a young nobleman. "Ah! Greetings. Ah... spoiling the women in your life? Such a good idea, a good idea indeed... You've come to the right place. You see, we specialize in this, we do... You are in luck too. The Jeweler is here... though she was out back doing something with the jewelry forge a moment ago. I can get her.. indeed. But in the mean time... you should look at our sets. We have lovely ball sets on sale for The Dragon Ball. All are thirty percent off." He said, and gently tapped one of the opulent display cases to draw Stephan's attention to the glittering jewelry sets beneath thick glass. "The Emerald five piece tier set is the finest in there.... especially if your lady has green eyes. Heavy necklace, bracelet, tiara, earrings, and ring to match. Perfectly matched colorwise. There's not a finer set anywhere in Aelyria, and its finer still than some that grace the Viceregent's neck." Furloin said, then slipped off into the workroom. He wasn't exactly out of sight, before he knocked on a thick glass window that displayed a lovely landscaped yard behind the shop. A white mare grazed out back on heavy green grass admidst a lovely flowering wisteria that seemed to cover an entire back fence.
As for the shop, once the gnome had left for a few moments, Stephan had a chance to look around. It was elegantly decorated, with a quiet reserved taste that let the gems its cases held truly blaze forth. The whole place was designed to draw the eye, its heavy oak display cases thickly glassed and set in a U shape that gave shoppers plenty of room to move around. In the middle of the spacious U was a velvet couch, a carafe of wine, iced tea, and water... set among crystal goblets. An enormous chandelier graced the ceiling, obviously custom work. It dripped with cut glass gemstones and seemed to depict a fantastical forest alive with metal creatures all sprouting jeweled eyes or necklaces of the finest jewels.
The workroom, from what he could see of it, was as chaotic as the showroom was neat. There were obvious signs of someone still moving in. Cartons were half unpacked, equipment moved into place but not 'fitting' exactly right. Dominating the far wall was a small jewelry forge that seemed to be in the process of being cleaned. Someone was obviously hard at work within the interior, setting up her workshop.
One would expect a truly noble person to slip from the workroom. What he got instead was a mixed blood Esh with startlingly citrine eyes. Her skin was flawlessly white, and her hair so pale one could easily describe it as translucent. She moved like a dancer... no, like a Zinn'ka artist, though her gaze was wide and intelligent like that of a scholar. And she was dressed in a style the casual observer would most likely label... "boyish". Her workclothes weren't in the best of states. It looked as if she encased her form in the most comfortable shapeless things she could find, and those being worn and pot marked with burns from what obviously must be the jewelry forge. Her pale nose had a smear across the ridge, as if she rubbed it as she worked, transferring metal blackening from fingers to its arch.
"Serale. I'm Viskyia Crow, the Jeweler here. What can I do for you today?" She said, offering him her hand. It was clean, though it had the pinkish 'fresh scrubbed' look
The scampering of feet was all he could hear until the gnome appeared to greet him. The little man dressed in such incredibly blinding colors and so hyper that Stephan could barely follow what he was saying. It was if the little man was never going to stop speaking until his lips well off. And so, Stephan paid him ever bit the less attention. But he did like to add numerous times, despite how many times it seemed the gnome missed it. His daughter was truly the only woman in his life and it would be that way till he met his beloved again, well, he hoped he would be able to meet her one last time to say he was sorry. His daughter's mother was a lost love, one he wasted as he had cheated, for she knew not of his wife. What a sad fool, sad man that he was. He deserved nothing that he had.
Sour thoughts faded thought as his attention was brought back to the present as the gnome scurried off to get the owner. Looking around abit more he heard him crash into things more times than not, speaking the entire way, becoming quite the annoying presence of this business. He must be good at something for the owner to keep him around. Looking at the Emerald five piece set he smiled, that would certainly be a good gift for his daughter, her eyes as green as the emerald gems before his eyes. No...no...her eyes were blue. The green gems though a fine site to behold by his dark blue eyes, for the green reminded him of his beloved's eyes as well. However, it also brought on sadness. Drawn away from the emerald set as he heard footsteps approaching Stephan stepped back, placing his hand on his sheathed sword making sure it did not swing around.
Watching the workroom door he could not help to hide a smile to form on his lips as the owner appeared, a woman, half eshie, but as graceful and exotic as a pure blood without a doubt. Quickly he removed the smile from his lips though his eyes were transfixed on her citrine eyes among the pale white skin of her kind. Unlike most women he had set his sights on in the past he had not drawn his eyes anywhere but her face. It was perfect in every last way, just as was expected of elves, and thus inspiring in so many ways to the weak emotional states of a human in the presence of elven beauty. Even half elves, especially that of the exotic eshie race, had such a draw to them. Breaking free of his stares though he watched her approached and then stepped forward to meet her. He wanted to laugh, this woman was so much the opposite of the Andares women, she actually got dirty and worked with her hands.
Her skills with her hands were only more recognized as she greeted him, offering him her slender fingered hand, smooth roughness to it showing hard skilled work. "Greetings, I'm Tristan Leone." His face emotionless as his hand drew back from her. "I have travelled all the way from Nexus Prime to find you and buy your goods, which I were told were the best around. My daughters birthday approaches and I need something very special to give her. Though that is not the only business I seek, it is the most important. I wish to also buy very rare gems and jewels, and many other goods of yours. Necklaces, rings, anklets, bracelets, all of the finest metals and gems you have. My limit of spending knows no limits. I must admit I'm a bit clueless to such matters of types of gems and metal types, but I do trust that you can help me? I am willing to pay for time spent assisting me as well." If the gnome were still around Stephan could picture him jumping up and down in joy and rubbing his hands together. He was a very big spender.
