Daltina Ranger Hall

The Daltina Ranger Hall was situated north along the Brightshadows path, the borders of its lands nestled in the outlying reaches of the Maevewood. To the East the city walls of Daltina could still easily be seen, and closer to the south the arcana academy rose from its position on the hill.

The ranger hall was surrounded by large grounds, that contained a variety of different buildings and areas such as the stables, archery range. These were all fenced off from the general public with large, wooden slatted fences, and the only way into the grounds of the hall was through the large ranger hall itself.

The ranger hall in keeping with the theme of its territory was made entirely from wood. Big logs had been hauled into place many eras ago making the large, many room building very solid and secure. The roof of the building was flat, tilted at a slight angle so that any rain and bad weather would not cause the hall to flood. Several windows fitted around the structure of the building caused the inside of the rangers' abode to be more light and airy than it would be otherwise. The door inside was a small wooden affair, that was usually propped open to allow visitors and potential new rangers to enter.

Stepping inside would reveal a small lobby containing several doors that led to the various areas of the hall. The small room was actually quite cosy, with a fireplace on the back wall that could be lit in cold weather, and a simple woven rug on the floor added a splash of orange and yellow to the deep brown of the wood it was constructed from. A small desk stood to the left, a simple wooden affair that served its purpose without being fancy and ornamental. This was the information desk were rangers could check in or visitors could inquire for knowledge about the rangers of Aelyria. It was also used to do the small amount of paperwork that the ranger hall generated.

Seated behind the desk was a young human woman, her chestnut brown hair tied back into a bun that kept it out of the ink whilst she filled in and signed the various pieces of parchment that littered her desk. Whenever someone entered who needed her attention she was stop and look up with a smile, glad of the distraction.

NPCs

Sierra Garranan - Sierra is a young human woman in her early twenties with a friendly and pleasant personality. She has chestnut brown hair that is always tied up into a bun and hazel eyes. Her clothes nearly always consist of green and brown coloured breeches and tunic. Sierra is a junior ranger, though she often volunteers to man the information desk because she knows that a lot of others hate the work even more than she does.
