Flying Pegasi Stables
The Flying Pegasi Stables were situated outside the eastern city walls, along the paved path that led to Brightshadows Sorcery Academy. The magic school itself could be seen not so far away, a walled structure sitting upon a hill south of the borders of the Maevewood. The stables themselves however, were no small structure. As well as selling mounts, the stables also offered lessons in riding and horse care, and several buildings were situated in a compound surrounded by a low stone wall. The gates that let people into the compound was an old wooden affair. Affixed to it was a slightly faded plaque announcing the compound to be the 'Flying Pegasi Stables'.
The immense training fields stretched back beyond the stables, the grass kept shortly clipped by the horses themselves. A good-sized barn stood in it, a storage place for hay and other things essential to the well-being of horses. The barn was a wooden structure, painted a deep dark red-brown colour, the double doors of which were nearly always kept shut. It was the exception however, since the other buildings in the area were all stone built and open to the public.
The biggest structure in the field was the stone stables that kept the horses the Flying Pegasi owned. The stables owned horses for sale, and some that were specifically kept for lessons. The stables were cool and airy in summer, and snug and warm in the winter, making them a perfect habitat for their inmates. Though the stables were open for people to browse, inquiries about lessons and purchase had to be taken to the main office.
The main office was the smallest building, but was not exactly small. As well as a place of business, it contained rooms for staff and trainers to lodge in should they require it, though the area was kept private from the general public. The lobby which also acted as the main office was a fairly small room, and simply furnished. The floor was bare concrete, the walls naked apart from the stone the building had been constructed from. The furniture in the room consisted of little else than a heavy, slightly battered looking desk, the chair that was situated behind it, and the price list that was affixed to the wall.
Behind the desk in the chair that accompanied sat a small human girl of around eight years old. Her hair was a brown-blonde colour, hanging loose around her shoulders, and her eyes were a playful blue. She brown leggings and a undyed loose linen shirt, and black leather boots covered her feet. Whenever a customer arrived she would beam at them in a happy, friendly manner.
"Serale! Are you here to see the horses?"
