The Iron Anvil

Everyone knew that Dwarves were the best when it came to metal work. Therefore, it was not surprising that the most renowned and reputed blacksmith resided in Dargistown. Many people from all parts of the city made their way into the dwarven sector in order to conduct business with the smith.

The building that housed the forge itself was a little compound on one of Dargistown's main mercantile streets. The forge was a medium sized grey stone building with big, heavy double doors that were constantly open, both to admit customers and to let out some of tar heat the forge produced. Out the front of the forge was a small yard, with hay bales and hitching posts, for the horses of customers and those waiting for the farrier service the smith offered. The compound was surrounded by a little wooden type fence that separate the business from that of its neighbours.

Inside, the Iron Anvil looked like any other typical forge. A variety of anvils for different types of work were scattered through around the big, fiery forge at the back of the room that provided the heat the blacksmith needed. Tool racks were fixed on the wall, and large barrels full of water and other liquids were scattered around. Finally, at the back of the room were stacks of goods that had already been made, that a customer could rummage through and find exactly what they needed. A wooden painted board affixed on the wall over if declared a basic price list.

The smith himself, was, unsurprisingly, dwarven. His hair was a dark red, almost auburn colour, and his beard had been tied in a rather peculiar fashion. It had been split into two, and wrapped around his head to be tied into a tail at the nap of his neck. It looked rather strange, but it at least prevented the red hair from catching on fire. In addition, the long hair that adorned the top of his head had also been tied back. He wore simple, neutral coloured clothing, topped by a big leather apron. He could usually be seen working away on something, but whenever he heard someone enter the forge he would stop, look up and nod to them in greeting.

"Serale there, can I 'elp ye with somethin'?"

Prices

Farriering - 2 crowns per hoof
Knives, cutlery - 1 crown per item
Pots and pans - 3 crowns (small), 5 crowns (large)
Hammers, chisels and tools - 2 crowns
hooks, nails, etc. - 1 crown for 10.
Nearly anything can be made as a custom order, fancy metalwork costing extra.

NPCs

Jard Ironbeard - The dwarven blacksmith and owner of the Iron Anvil. He's not a Daltina native, rather hailing from the city of Zerdargia, which he when he was a wee lad. He has dark red hair, his beard is waist length when not tied back. Jard is generally an amiable fellow for a dwarf, but tends to be short with people who criticise his work, and of course, elves.
