Wimbley's Wild Menagerie

On the south side of the Royal Concourse lies a whimsical collection of animals from across the Empire, all of them fully safe and approved by those who cared about such things. Wimbley’s Wild Menagerie is a place where anyone who enjoys animals can enjoy the better part of a brightening, walking around and gazing at all of the fine specimens collected within.

One small building is at the gate to this plot of land, constructed entirely of unadorned stone. The front door to this building is a wooden door adorned only with a smaller wooden door built into it, allowing easy access to the miniature owner of the establishment. Beyond this creaking wooden door is a small room where a gnome sits on top of his too-large desk, prepared to welcome any who wish to enter.

“Serale to you on this fine brightening. Care for a ticket? The animals are in fine form today, my friend, fine form indeed.”

Beyond the desk is another wooden door, again with a smaller door built into the bottom of the wooden panel. In this backroom lies the stores of animal food and other products for caring for the large assortment of animals that are under Wimbley’s care.

Once the ticket has been purchased, the patron is allowed out of a second door directly to the right of the desk. This door goes back outside, directly onto a stone path that marks off a lazy, winding route through the menagerie. The various animals that can be found in this menagerie are all safely penned up behind iron fences, although these fences are only four feet in height. This is short enough that those who so desire may attempt to lure the animals over and feed them, yet tall enough that the animals are unable to escape.

Some of the animals in Wimbley’s Wild Menagerie include Alicats, Bantis’, Cabbits, both Aelyrian and Eunesian Foxes, Gargoths, Giant Salamanders, Gorjira (Dawjira, Kroa’ten, and Kkori’ari varities), Griffins, Hand Wyverns, Natchkatzes, Enamorian Paper Tigers, pegasi, Prin Fauns, Snikch, Water Rats, and a large variety of more common animals, such as horses and dogs. There is also a tank where several common varities of fish can been seen, including a separate section for several Enamorian Stenchfish. A separate, completely enclosed section is devoted to birds of all kinds. All of the animals are extremely well cared for by the staff of Wimbley’s, who can often be seen running to and fro in the background caring for the animals and enforcing the “don’t touch, don’t get eaten” policy on the more careless patrons.

Bindy Winkleston III – Male, Gnome, 23 patterns old. Bindy has a short blonde beard, long blonde hair, and brown eyes. Bindy generally wears neutral-colored clothing, although bright shirts do make appearances often. Bindy is frightened that the animals will eat him, and so he stays behind the desk and takes care of all of the clerical duties for the menagerie. The rest of the staff, gnomes and humans alike, are more than happy to accommodate him. Bindy is extremely friendly and genial to everyone he sees, except for when an animal gets too close. In that case, his screams of terror can be heard for miles around.

Sorol Davikon – Male, Medonian, 19 patterns old, Intermediate Falconry, Intermediate Horseriding, Intermediate Animal Care, Beginner Dogsledding. Sorol has shoulder-length black hair that he keeps tied back in a ponytail and very light gray eyes. He is generally tanned from spending a lot of time out in the sun all day long caring for the animals, except in the winter season when his skin tone is lighter than normal. He normally wears loose brown pants held up with a tight belt and a tight black shirt. He hates people in every way and can only stand to talk to someone who is either a Dorin or a Katta. He concentrates on taking care of animals and completely ignores people, who he considers to be extremely over-rated.

Wimbley Nibberdong – Male, Gnome, 31 patterns old, Advanced Animal Care. Wimbley is the owner and manager of this location. He has a long brown beard, long brown hair, and shining blue eyes. He normally wears a simple pair of pants and a shirt in the brightest colors he can find. Wimbley loves animals and taking care of them, however he loves watching people and animals interact even more. It’s his goal to make sure that everyone has a chance to get to know the various types of animals in Telath. He is extremely friendly with all of the customers that he sees, although he is most often found tending to the animals.
