Isadora de Lunette is unknown and forgotten
{Beech Trees} A Song for the Infirmed {Open}

Early Evening, First Cycle in Melora, Spring

Isadora had begun her first brightenings of work the cycle before and while it had been awkward at first--she'd never had a job before--it had taken the second brightening of her attendance to work out her feelings of performing in front of others in her social sphere. Granted, these others were elderly, infirm, no longer looked upon as the stable individuals they might once have been...and quite possibly still were despite the wrapping of frail, wrinkled skin. She learned to focus on the music, to smile prettily, to maintain the etiquette that her mother had hammered into her since childhood; these folk deserved no less from her and most still seemed to hold whatever whip-like smarts they must have wielded in the past.

"Serale, Juliette," she greeted the receptionist in the lobby as she entered the room. "How're you?" It was a simple, pleasant exchange and one that Isadora did not mind in the slightest--Juliette, she'd learned, was a pleasant individual.

"Just wonderful, thank you. I'm glad to see you've returned for a second cycle! They seemed to enjoy listening to you last week." Juliette set down the papers in her hands, if only just a little, her fingertips still clinging to the edges.

Isadora smiled and dipped her head slightly. "I'm glad to hear it. Do you mind if I head in?"

"Certainly! I made sure the piano's tuning was checked. Everything should be all set for you."

With that Isadora swept into the room, her amethyst skirts shifting around her as she gazed around the room. A small gathering, two dozing, some playing a game of cards or chess, one or two conversing, one staring out a window. Perhaps more than just a small gathering. But certainly not large. "Good evening everyone. Any requests before I start playing?"

"Isadora! So lovely to see you, dear. How about that song you played for us last cycle? The one you said was about the birds and the waterfall?"

"Pish, I want to hear something new and different. Play us something we haven't heard before!"

Isadora allowed herself a laugh, light and fleeting. "I will play the 'Sparrow and the Falls' first and then I will play something new. How does that sound?" When others declared their agreement Isadora settled onto the piano bench and trickled her way over the keys--a brief warm-up--before finally beginning a song. She sang as she played, her fingers light and nimble on the keys, her foot working the pedal underneath, maintaining the rhythm as best she could.

OOC: Anyone is welcome to join! Of course, it might seem weird if you join and you're not here to visit your elderly relative as well. I'm sure Azanael won't mind someone making granny or great-uncle Herbert so long as you're not gaining anything from it
