Making Friends (Open)
Osmic made his way to the Crown Inn and Tevern. He was coming here hoping to make some new friends. He walked inside and took a table. When the waitress came over he ordered a mug of cider. When the waitress returned with his mug he payed her the 10 Crowns.
"Thank you, mam." Osmic said.
"Your welcome, Sir." The waitress replied as she walked off. He took the mug and lifted it to his lips. The cider hit his lips then slipped down his dry throat.
Mm thats good. He said to himself. He took a couple of more sips then put the mug down and started to rest a bit since he hasn't rested in a while.

Weary from a long day at work, Maximus decided he'd go and make a stop by the tavern. As he approached the magnitude of the building awed Maximus. He had forgotten just how big it really was. Big stones for a big building, each red stone was bigger than Maximus' head and had accents of many different colors. The Inn and Tavern was glorious, a symbol and was known throughout all extents and corners of the empire as such.
Maximus walked through the huge oak doors and walked across the foyer and through the large archway into the Tavern. He scanned the room and then started making his way toward the bar when he noticed another human with similar build and height. It was just one of those people that when you see them, they immediately seem familiar, compatible for friendship. 'Meet a new friend?' he thought as he stood still with indecision. 'Ah, what the heck.'
He made his way through the crowd until finally he stood in front of the table containing this familiar character. "Mind if I take a seat?" he said as he gazed up and waited for a response.

"Thank you. My name is Maximus...Maximus Forrealius. So what is your business in Alleria Prime?" Maximus said as he took a seat next to Osmic.
Maximus looked around, hoping to find a waitress who could brink him a spot of ale, but luck apparently wasn't with him as there was none in sight. Just a bit of ale to hydrate his parched tongue was all he wanted, after spending the day deprived from any form of liquid or fluid known to man.
'My tongue must 'ave shriveled and died' he thought as the muscle in his mouth throbbed. His eyes kept circling their sockets as he continued his search for a waitress and awaited a response from Osmic.

"Nice to meet you Maximus Forrealius. You ask me why I'm here in Alleria Prime? Im here to join the Imperial Legion. You thirsty? I have my waterskin on me. It looks like you could use some water." Osmic said as he took his waterskin and set it on the bar. "So what is your business here Maximus?" Osmic said taking another sip of his cider.

'Wow, the Legion' Maximus thought at Osmic's words. His mouth began salivating at the thought of water...'water.'
"Why yes. I am extremely thirsty, do you mind? And I once lived in Alleria Prime with my mother, and have since returned. I wondered the empire for many patterns, visiting many places at random and all corners of the map," he said as he reached impatiently for the waterskin. It was like a child to candy, he snatched it up and eagerly poured a bit of its entrails down his dry throat.
"Thank you. I do believe that was the best water I've ever tasted." he said content, as he handed back his "savior" to its rightful owner.
"And what of your childhood," Maximus said now once again re-interested after having quenched his thirst.

Osmic thought.
"My childhood. I dont know whish to talk about it. Many things have happend in my childhood. Many." He said as he put his head down. I wont forget that day. That day my life changed. He said to himself. "You are welcome for the water."

Remorse hit Maximus as he heard this. "Sorry, I did not mean to intrude. So where do you live? Maybe I'll stop by sometime. I live at 27 Longblade Lane in Domicilium. Where are you from...once again I am from here and have just returned but two months ago."
Maximus sat, blunt, after asking such questions. He was interested, this would be the first friend he had made since he returned. He brought up his right hand and relieved an inch on the top of his head, fighting through his dark brown hair to get to it. He brought his hand back down and rested it on the table. 'Wonder what happened' he thought as he pondered about Osmic's untold childhood.
All kinds of ridiculous stories ran through his head as his mind lingered on the subject of the other human's past. 'Did his parents die when he was young, did he run away, was he an outlaw...fugitive? Such silly thoughts...' Maximus thought as he realized what he was doing. He was immediately ashamed of such thoughts and crazy stories. 'Why would you think such a thing?'
He refocused his eyes to Osmic as he looked up.

Osmic looked over at Maximus. "I live at 123 Green Ash Ln. I just moved here." Osmic said as he took another sip of his cider. "My mom. My mom was killed by a Dragon. I bore a tattoo of the same Dragon that killed my mother on my back. Since then i have decided to avenge my mothers death." Osmic thought back to that day. He could see his mother being slaughtered by the Dragon and his father did nothing. Nothing. He put his head down so Maximus could not see it.

"Ah, not an Allerian...I thought so. I'm sorry to hear about your mother."
He looked around again and then back at Osmic. 'Wonder what the time must be' he thought as alarm hit him in the gut as he realized how long he had been at the tavern. He had definitely been there much longer than he had intended. 'I guess I shall stay a little longer' he thought as he looked around a saw the tavern still hustling and buzzing with life from all over the empire. It was a hot spot, the tavern, for citizens and travelers alike. Who wouldn't like a fresh brewed ale after such a travel, an adventure, or long journey across the rigorous land? Even after a long day at work just for a get away from the stress of ordinary life. 'Nothing taste better after such events...'
"So how do you plan on going about slaying such a dragon? avenging your mother's death?" Maximus was intrigued. He had heard such stories as a kid, myth, he always thought they were, just legend, make believe. Inanimate is how he thought of them, but such a story had proven him wrong. But non-the-less, he had played the scenario out many a time as a little kid with his friends, the ending always the same. The dragon would lie slain on the ground, blood leaking from its entrails...always, victory was always theirs. In real life however, the ending wasn't such a quarantee, far from it.
'Maybe someday I could help him in his quest to avenge his mother's death. No what am I thinking....this is something you must do at your lonesome. How old was he when this horrific event occured?' Thoughts kept penetrating his thick cranium and entering his brain. Such strange ideas as they were, were shrugged off as Maximus snapped back to reality, back to the tavern, the chair, the conversation.

"I was only 10 at the time. I dont not know how I will slay this Dragon and I do not know where to start but I'm willing to find out." Osmic said as he took another sip of his cider.

Dilemas, dilemas. To find a faction of the Legion was risky, at best, but to do nothing was even worse. She peeked in through the open doorway of the tavern and saw not a one Legionaire. Mostly local folks just passing through. There were two likely fellows brooding over their ale, but no one who seemed likely to be able to help her without demanding more coin than she had. Still, she had relatively few choices and not much to lose. She entered the room and found her way towards the two least-likely to harm her.
"Harrumph!" She cleared her throat, interrupting the one who was about to say something about killing a dragon. It was a calculated risk. Folks who were bent on killing dragons weren't usually in their best of minds, but he seemed a safe enough fellow...she guessed.
She came closer to the two at the side of the bar and gave them a quick look. The one with the beard looked up at her.
"Er...'scuse me, but could I ask either of you a question?"

OOC: Khaellii, just a heads up, but you're not allowed to say the one with the beard looked up. You're not allowed to control any PC's that is not your own. Just a heads up.
Osmic, can you please give a little more thought into your posts. Go into your character interactions and thoughts and such. Its really hard to reply to your posts with a decent post when all you say is I was ten I took another sip of my cider.
"Ah, only ten, eh? Wow, I can't even imagine..." Maximus said as he was interrupted by a very peculiar character.
She had dark hair, and eyes, and beautiful red lips. "Sure, why not..." he said in answer to her question. "Would you like to take a seat?"
She looked innocent enough, or so Maximus thought, but there was obviously no way to be sure since he had never seen nor met her in his life. He was interested, interested to find out what question had driven her into the bar and to this very table at which they sat.

Khaelli flashed the bearded man a bright grin and took the nearest chair to her right, hoping he would not see how frazzled she was. It was never a good idea to approach strange men in taverns, but desperation often drove her to do the unseemly and the downright unthinkable. She needed information, and she had so very little time to obtain it.
The barmaid noticed Khaellii's presence and approached the table. Khaellii wordlessly pointed to the glass of cider that the Dragon-slayer-wannabe was nursing, then indicated with two fingers that she wanted two glasses of cider, one for her and another for the bearded man who had invited her to join them. The barmaid nodded her understanding and left immediately to retrieve the drinks. Khaellii turned back to her table companions.
"So sorry to intrude, but I am wondering if perhaps either one of you could help me with something. I won't take much of your time." She stole quick glances at each of them and licked her lips nervously, wiping her damp palms on the worn and tattered brown skirt that she wore. Before she could continue, the barmaid had returned with the cider and plonked them down unceremoniously in front of her and the bearded man. She paid the barmaid 6 gcs for the two glasses of house ale and resumed her, thus far, singular dialogue.
"I am looking for a green witch, one who knows herbalism in conjunction with the magic of healing. Would either one of you know where I could go to find this person?"
Thanks for the pointer! I am starting to understand how to do this.

What a kind female he thought offering me a drink... "Thank you...for the cider." Maximus said gratefully. She was definitely a friend rather than foe, Maximus had decided as he picked up his cider and eased it toward his mouth. He put it to his lips and felt the unmatchable taste run the length of his tongue, soak into his tastebuds, and then down his throat. The water from Osmic's waterskin was truly a blessing but didn't completely quench his thirst, as he did not want to drink such a large quantity from someone else's things.
Maximus finished his long sip just as the young woman began to talk. Oh, a witch she is looking for... he thought sadly. "I am sorry, but I do not know the information you seek, but I hope you will stay long enough to finish your cider. I'm Maximus...Maximus Forrealius, I'm not sure if you mentioned your name or not, but if so you will have to excuse me for I seem to have forgotten."
He had wanted to help her so much, though he did not quite know why. Is it that I am actracted...is that it? She is beautiful, yes, but you barely know her. A stranger, as of yet, that is all she is. He raged on with this inner conflict, embarrassed. He didn't understand why such crazy thoughts would come to mind. Maximus struggled with this for a long while, or so it seemed, but he knew in his heart that there was no denying it, he was attracted to her. The way she talked and looked and acted, it was as if he had known her his whole life, and yet she was a friend of but the last moment.
