Fortunes, Fortunes [Mod Please]
The Crown Inn and Tavern was the undisputed mark by which all other places of similar services was measured by. And no wonder, for it was the largest and most successful business of that sort in the Empire. Hundreds of people came here daily, and countless thousands knew of its name and reputation. It was the second home of more than a few people, and the place were no few plans of power had been struck and forged.
Many times in the past he had come here, and today he returned once again to this place. Friends and foes, though more of the former, had been made here. Some he would never see again, lost to time, death and the world. Others he hoped he would meet. And for the many faces that were here, perhaps a few new friendships would arise and be made.
But for now, his purpose was not one for relaxation. He had first to resolve the reason he had come here. The thelyri was quite a bit different from the more naive, somewhat more narrow-visioned fellow he had been. Plans upon plans was ever at the surface of his mind, an unlocked aspect of his nature. Those who were born for power sought it, and seek it again he did today. A simple action would begin this small episode, as he raised a hand to call over a waiter to help him. When one arrived, he put forth simply a question, "Serale, do you mind telling me where I might find the Crown's management?"
OOC: Sorry for the mod request, but hey, may as well get it done!

OOC: No worries, Mizu. Glad to oblige! Tis my job, y'know!
It was crowded here today as it always was. The common room of the Crown Inn and Tavern was filled with all people, from all walks of life and Kathay was having to hop, jump, skip, and run just to keep up with all the orders and drinks and everything.
She hated it when the Crown Inn was short-handed. Kathay also figured that one of these days, she wouldn't have to work at this place, that she'd save up enough money and move out of this gods-forsaken city and on to something bigger and better. Of course, she'd told herself that 3 patterns ago. She told herself that every year. Who was she kidding? She'd never get out of here.
It was as she was in the middle of returning to the kitchen with a tray full of empty ale mugs that a man called her attention. Great. Another customer. Heaving a sigh, she placed the tray upon an empty table which more than likely wouldn't be empty for long and went over to the man that called her.
Upon listening to his request, Kathay frowned slightly. Hardly anyone ever saw the owner of this place. She wondered if that's who he meant. Well, she could take him to the one member of management that she knew of... Keighvin.
"Urm...if you'd care to follow me, sir, I can take you to someone who runs this place." Kathay suggested somewhat uneasily, waiting for Mizushin to say something or follow her.

The thelyri knew a tired person when he saw one, having been on that side of a job some time ago. When he'd last left Alleria Prime, to be exact, he'd help a service position as a librarian. Different kind of environment to be sure, but still it had some sort of similarity. "Ah, serale miss. " He greeted her with that simply, before putting forth the question he had in mind for her.
Junzo waited patiently for her reply, noticing the frown that crossed her expression. His request was most likely not one she encountered much. "That would be good." He gave her a thankful smile. He pushed himself away from the table and stood. "Very well then. Please, do lead the way?" A nod and a gesture with his hand accompanied this, and he followed her where she would lead him. He hoped that whomever she was going to bring him to could help him in his little plans.
Or perhaps not quite so little, he amended, a bit of amused humor in his heart.

Kathay wound and wove her way easily through the crowded common room of the Crown Inn. Customers called out to her, winked, wanting either service or just her attention. She ignored them all. The pretty young girl was on a mission and led Mizushin deeper towards the back, where she knew that Keighvin's office was. Kathay hoped that Keighvin wasn't busy or at the very least, engaged in one of his 'private matters'; to which most often the door to the office would then be closed.
Finally escaping all the cat-calls, cries for service and 'Hey, whyn't you come sit on me lap, girlie!', Kathay led Mizu past the kitchen entrance, and finally down a narrow hallway and at the end of that hallway what was once a small storeroom now used as a general manager's office. And lucky for her, the door was open. Turning to Mizu, she quietly told him as she could hear nothing coming from the office:
"Please wait here, I'll see if he's in." And with that, the young woman left Mizu standing at the end of the hall and made her way up the short distance to the end and knocking softly on the door, she poked her head within. And sure enough, Keighvin was in there, sitting at his desk, pouring over what looked to be some bills of lading.
Keighvin, by his elven looks, didn't seem dangerous. No, not at all. His quiet mannerisms, soft voice, and gentle-seeming soft blue eyes made him more like he was some noble elf lord rather than a simple manager of an Inn. But Kathay new better, she'd heard the rumors of just how cruel he could really be. The young woman hoped that she was never on the receiving end of such cruelty. And from what else she heard, being female didn't matter, Keighvin would...well, best not to ponder that, right?
Keighvin was dressed in his customary black leather breeches, white linen shirt, with a black jerkin over top. His hard heeled, polished boots were underneath the desk, crossed at the ankle and his long, honey gold locks brushed to a burnished sheen and tied back in a neat pony tail with a simple black ribbon. At her knock and entrance, the elf raised his head, a questioning look in his mild gaze as he waited for her to state her business.
"I...I'm sorry to disturb you, Keighvin, but there's a man here who would like to see you." Kathay managed to stammer out, her bright green eyes nervous. Keighvin always made her nervous, in more ways than one and it was Kathay's thought that the elf seemed to get some kind of private amusement by doing so. Keighvin simply nodded and told the girl quietly:
"That's fine. Send him in and return to your shift." Was all the elf said, before lowering his head once more, sharp eyes going over yet another bill, all but dismissing Kat, who breathed an inward sigh of relief. Quickly turning, Kat returned to Mizu, saying to him:
"He says you can go in. If you need anything later, I'll be around." Kathay told the man, turning to head back out into the common room to fill whatever orders needed taking and whatever drinks needed pouring. Perhaps it wasn't so bad to be where she was after all...

The thelyri observed the young lady as she led him, listened to how she spoke, his eyes and ears taking in how she moved and talked. He thanked her simply as she departed, with a few bits of information filed away. One thing was for certain, this Keighvin certainly wasn't some benevolent, caring manager to elicit such tension from one of those who served a lower station than his. The thelyri's guard was up in any case as he entered the room where this elven person was.
He knocked on the door, same as Kathay, but not with anywhere near her softness in doing so. It was a sign that he was entering, this Keighvin knew that he was coming after all and he'd been listening only some steps away. Upon seeing the elf, the thelyri gave him a nod and greeted him, "Serale good sir." Taking a step inside the office he asked, "Would you be the manager of the Crown Inn?"

Mizushin
OOC: Avius, urm, yes, this is a private thread. I'll PM the copy of your post to you, if you'd like to start a seperate thread? Thanks. Then I'll delete the main copy.
Keighvin looked up from his desk where he seemed rather busy with paper work and gave the man an appraising glance, noting all possible hidden weapons or whatever. He shrugged, not like it mattered. Keighvin could take care of himself. He made a motion to Mizushin and invited the man further inside the office, his voice cordial, polite, slightly curious, as he spoke:
"Aye, that I am. Name's Keighvin Silverhelm. What can I do for you? The elf quirked a brow and his calm blue eyes met those of Mizushin. Nodding at a chair before the desk, Keighvin indicated that Mizu should be seated and then gracefully rose and closed the door to the office, resuming his own seat, waiting to see exactly what it was that Mizushin wanted to speak to him of.

"Pleased to make your acquaintance." Junzo gave him a respectful nod, then moved to take his seat as Keighvin moved about. He waited for the other to take a seat again before he began. "Well, Mister Silverhelm, I am here because I would like to inquire if the Crown Inn's ownership might be willing to engage in a certain business deal with me." The thelyri shifted slightly, leaning back in his seat. "I would like to ask if perhaps the ownership might be amenable to an investment in the Crown Inn."
"The Empire is still somewhat fragile. Alleria Prime has only recenly reconnected with the world once more. What I would like to propose is to strengthen the name and presence of the Crown Inn as the tavern and inn of quality within the Empire."
