Basics

Name: Faust Kitrye'veresi
Race: Vysstichi (Dark Elf)
Age: 95 ordinations
Date of Birth: 6th of Optia
Place of Birth: Har'oloth, Arium
Titles and Ranks:
  • Grandmaster Swordsman
  • High Lord of Har'oloth
  • Baron of Vortex
  • Baron of the Midlands
  • Baron of House D'Rinishad
  • Commander of the Black Legion
  • General of the Mercenary Army

Appearance

Eyes: Crimson
Hair: Silver
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 130 pounds
Skin: Black

Slender to the brink of gauntness, the dark elf’s chiseled frame is frequently attributed to the inherent leanness of his svelte people. His callused black hands and ethereal grace, however, belie that misconception and testify to a lifetime of intense swordplay and relentless study of the arts martial. A head shorter than six feet, the Vysstichi Prince’s crimson eyes and ink-colored skin, the hallmarks of his race, stand in stark contrast to the bush of disheveled silver hair that frames his handsome, albeit deceptively boyish, visage. His salient black ears protrude unashamedly from his mess of platinum locks, rising upwards and crowning him with their tapered points. Despite having lived for nearly a century, the dark elf’s comely face and youthful mien reflect a man in his early twenties.

As the High Lord of Har’oloth, the dark elf is blessed with an exorbitant amount of wealth and thus has access to an infinite supply of clothing, weapons, and equipment. However, he can usually be found wearing his trademark ardentium chainmail, its silvery-white links woven seamlessly together to produce a tunic that is both fashionable for a social gathering and formidable for battle. Leggings of comparable craftsmanship are hidden beneath his black breeches, which are tucked into the rims of his high black boots. Although it is not uncommon for the dark elf to don a tabard of various hues depending on the occasion, he prefers to adorn himself in his favorite hooded black cloak, the surface of which is patterned by silver runes that visibly shift along the silky fabric like a sea of twinkling stars.

In addition to his lavish wardrobe, the dark elf is rumored to be outfitted from head to toe in magical equipment, most notably the two legendary long swords strapped on either of his sides. Clasped around his forearms and wrists is a pair of black leather bracers that intermittently glow crimson and complement the sheen of the ardentium gloves that conceal his ebon hands. Decorating the fourth finger of his left hand is the dark elf’s priceless wedding ring, which is flanked on the right by a black ardentium ring. Finally, suspended from a silver chain around the Vysstichi’s neck is a golden medallion fashioned in the image of a swordsman plunging a blade through a demon’s head.

History

Upbringing in Har'oloth
Nearly one hundred years ago, House Kitrye’veresi established itself as the supreme military presence in Har’oloth, a city-state of dark elves and shadow elves dwelling in vast caverns beneath Vortex in the Arium Directorate. With a garrison exceeding ten thousand strong and a longstanding reputation for producing mighty warriors, the Kitrye’veresi swiftly subjected the other noble houses to their authority and claimed the title of “First House of Har’oloth.” Behind Matron Kal’adriel Kitrye’veresi, Archmage of Mysticism, the Kitrye’veresi ruled the city for decades unchallenged. Her fierce leadership and unrivaled magical abilities transformed Har’oloth into an entity that was widely feared throughout the realm, both surface and subterranean alike. House Kitrye’veresi became the cornerstone of Har’oloth’s existence, and this eventually segued to a peace treaty between the underground city and Duke Jan Wladisyaw of Vortex.

Although there were no enemies left to subdue or conquer, the Kitrye’veresi continued to consolidate their power and amass wealth beyond calculation, which embittered many of the lesser noble families. In gratitude of Haya’s many blessings, the First House spearheaded the construction of the Temple of Carnal Love, a facility dedicated to the Mother of Darkness’s unholy rites. It was during this time that Matron Kal’adriel engaged in a lascivious affair with her legendary general, Kymril Kitrye’veresi, Lord of the Dread Knights. Devoid of love or affection, the assignation was purely one for strategic breeding as Vysstichi are wont to do, and it resulted in the birth of Kal’adriel’s youngest son, the Prince of Har’oloth, Faust Kitrye’veresi.

With the blood of nobles running through his veins, a mother who was the envy of every Vysstichi in Har’oloth, and a father whose name alone induced terror on the battlefield, Faust was born under the most auspicious circumstances. His eldest sister, Vylkos, was a revered High Priestess at the Temple of Carnal Love, and his other sister, Phyrra, was on the verge of attaining that most prestigious and coveted rank. Kalannar, his only brother and the second oldest of the four children, was an accomplished Dread Knight reputed to be the finest lizard rider in all the Nightlands. In light of his siblings’ grand achievements, it was no surprise to anyone that great hopes were thrust upon the tiny shoulders of Matron Kal’adriel’s youngest son.

Consistent with Vysstichi custom, Faust’s upbringing was entrusted to his oldest sister, Vylkos. He saw little of his mother and father throughout his childhood, and his interactions with them were limited to brief audiences during which Vylkos was required to update Matron Kal’adriel on her youngest brother’s progress. Although his sister saw fit to subject him to an austere education that included proper etiquette, the history of their people, and underground survival, she was not unkind, and it was not uncommon for her to treat him to special events in the dark city. As a child, Faust exhibited a proclivity for fast learning, and his naturally submissive demeanor, most likely the byproduct of his male-oppressed environment, made him an easy student to teach. When he was not under his sister’s watchful eye, the young Prince of Har’oloth often skulked with his peasant-born playmates to the training grounds where his father and brother drilled the fearsome Dread Knights of House Kitrye’veresi in swordplay, lizard riding, and battle tactics. Mesmerized by the dance of blades, it was here that Faust first dreamed of following in his family’s prominent footsteps.

Death and Betrayal
Faust’s fiftieth year marked the end of his charmed adolescence. Unbeknownst to those in Har’oloth, hundreds of miles away in Hon’elgg, the Vysstichi motherland, the Council of Ten discussed the unacceptable, swelling presence of Esh’lahier in its sister city. Repulsed by the coexistence of dark elves and shadow elves in Har’oloth, the Council unanimously appointed Moranthe Kitrye’veresi, the wizened Matron of the Fourth House of Hon’elgg and mother of Kal’adriel Kitrye’veresi, with supplanting her daughter, whose liberal reign had become a foremost concern to the xenophobic Vysstichi of Hon’elgg. The only problem, however, was that the Fourth House had a vested interest in perpetuating House Kitrye’veresi’s tenure due to their blood relations. To incentivize Moranthe to eliminate her daughter, it was decided that Hon’elgg in its entirety would endorse the installation of Moranthe’s second daughter, Alaret, to the throne of Har’oloth, thereby preventing the Second and Third Houses of Har’oloth from claiming that illustrious role.

During the winter that followed, Moranthe deployed Alaret and a sizeable army from Hon’elgg into the Maze of Memories, where they eventually established a secretive camp on the outskirts of Har’oloth after many months of rigorous travel. Shrewd and devious like her mother, Alaret conspired with a mercenary captain from Vortex named Vincent to attack the Second House of Har’oloth (“House Kostith’elgg”) under the guise of House Kitrye’veresi, which, she suspected, would provoke a natural retaliation. Compliments of Alaret, Vincent outfitted his band of mercenaries in the trappings of Kitrye’veresi soldiers and waylaid the Second House, butchering many of its men, women, and children in the dead of the night. As anticipated, Matron Amarantha of House Kostith’elgg interpreted that dastardly act as a declaration of war and rallied her forces immediately.

Back at House Kitrye’veresi’s sprawling estate, Matron Kal’adriel and her family remained dangerously unaware of the violence inflicted upon their bloodthirsty neighbors. Faust, his siblings, and his parents were gathered in the throne room discussing matters of state when an earthshaking roar shook the stronghold’s very foundation. A frantic messenger arrived shortly afterward to inform the noble family that they were under attack; moreover, the Second House’s entire garrison was parked directly outside their walls and bombarding them with devastating blasts of sorcery and elementalism. Like a well-oiled machine, Matron Kal’adriel sounded the call for battle and prepared to engage their relentless enemies. Bursting from the throne room, Matron Kal’adriel, Kymril, Kalannar, Vylkos, and Phyrra rallied the Kitrye’veresi soldiers towards the front gates, leaving Faust to stand helplessly in their wake.

The battle raged on for hours, neither side gaining an advantage as the Kitrye’veresi walls and battlements stood true. Faithful to their reputation, the Dread Knights, led by Lord Kymril and Kalannar, fought like cornered demons from the ramparts, repelling one round of enemies after another. However, at approximately the seventh hour of fighting, something unforeseeable happened: a detachment of Kitrye’veresi soldiers –Vincent’s disguised mercenaries, who had been admitted shortly before the Second House’s surprise attack- murdered the gatehouse guards and opened the gates to the enemy. Like a wave of cold steel, the forces of House Kostith’elgg surged into the Kitrye’veresi compound, annihilating what futile resistances the First House could muster amidst such one-sided odds. Separated from the severely outnumbered Lord Kymril and Kalannar, who continued to fight for their lives on the ramparts, Matron Kal’adriel, her daughters, and what remained of the Kitrye’veresi guard were forced to barricade themselves in the throne room.

Not even Matron Kal’adriel’s formidable magic could fend off the Kostith’elgg onslaught. In a matter of minutes, the doors to the throne room exploded inward and the ravenous enemy poured in. Faust watched as the man named Vincent swept into the chamber like death itself, cutting down Matron Kal’adriel with two long swords as black as night. Crumpled on the floor, his mother’s body drowned in a pool of crimson. Phyrra’s scream chilled his blood a second later as she rushed to confront the man who had killed their mother. Faust saw his sister lunge at the mercenary captain with a gleaming sword, but before he could see what happened, he felt a hand roughly yank him to his feet and push him towards the back wall. It was Vylkos. Bright red rivulets flowed down her forehead, and she seemed to be limping. She yelled something at him. What exactly, he could not say, for his wide eyes had traveled to Phyrra just as two blade points punched through her back and sent a spray of blood into his paling face.

By the time he opened his eyes, another forceful shove had sent him tripping against the back wall, which suddenly yielded to his weight, turned with his momentum, and clicked securely behind him. The last thing he saw was Vylkos charge into the enemy lines and two black swords, dripping with Kitrye’veresi blood, rising to meet her.

Ka'ris Kitrye'veresi

House Kitrye'veresi - Vysstichi from Har'oloth

Ka'ris Kitrye'veresi
Recognized for her talents and intelligence at an early age, the former priestess-in-training served under Faust’s mother, Matron Kal’adriel Kitrye’veresi, before the clan’s destruction. After barely escaping with her life, Ka’ris vowed vengeance and pledged herself to the clan's youngest son. Like most Vysstichi women, Ka’ris has turned many a head with her beauty despite her intimidating scarlet eyes, which burn fiercely with her iron will. Lithe and graceful, she usually wears her snowy white hair down with a spider-shaped hairpin woven within.
  • Adept Mysticism
  • Adept Whip
Ardanon Kitrye'veresi
Once the Head Mage of House Kitrye’veresi, Ardanon’s four centuries of age led to his resignation from the prominent position. He was wounded in battle during the merciless attack on House Kitrye’veresi; however, he was saved by the Prince of Har’oloth and, impressed by the noble’s character, decided to follow him to the surface. Ardanon’s once vibrant white hair has long yielded to gray, which he wears like a crown of wisdom. Seldom seen without his staff, the mage usually enshrouds his withering figure beneath the voluminous robes of his former station.
  • Adept Sorcery
  • Basic Quarterstaff
Banatarion Kitrye'veresi

Sparrow Kitrye'veresi

The grandson of the mighty Ardanon Kitrye’veresi, Banatarion was a toddler when House Kitrye’veresi fell. He has grown up to be a polite young boy, and his perpetual excitement continues to inspire those around him notwithstanding the dreary atmosphere that Vortex induces. In an attempt to imitate his hero, Faust, Banatarion wears his white hair tousled and unkempt.
  • Novice Secretarial Skills
  • Adolescent
Sparrow Kitrye'veresi
A scrawny and insecure dark elf, Sparrow was once a servant of House Kitrye’veresi. His dexterity and agility, developed after years of stealing bread and mushrooms from House Kitrye’veresi’s food cellars, aided him in escaping House Kitrye’veresi’s annihilation. He subsequently accompanied Faust to the surface, and the two have maintained a close relationship ever since. While not technically a member of House Kitrye’veresi, he was embraced as a family member after escaping with Faust and six others to Vortex.

Da'nael Kitrye'veresi

Da'nael Kitrye'veresi

An anomaly to his traditionally slender people, the “Colossus of Har’oloth” is easily recognized. As the former Captain of House Kitrye’veresi's Blood Knights, Da'nael sports a rippling frame wrought of corded muscle. Although born with the typical red eyes and white hair of his people, he is nearly a foot taller than the average dark elf. While some like Ka’ris believe that when Haya created Da’nael, she gave him brawn in lieu of a brain, Da’nael’s cunning in battle and feared repute suggest that he is far smarter than the priestess gives him credit for.
  • Elite Bastard Sword
  • Elite Acrobatics
Anvael Kitrye'veresi
Exceptionally smaller than his twin brother, Da'nael, House Kitrye’veresi's acclaimed assassin nevertheless carries a comparable reputation. Quick on his feet and even quicker with a blade, the only thing faster is Anvael’s tongue. Having always believed Vysstichi males to be the far superior gender, Anvael tends to rub Vysstichi women, especially Ka’ris, the wrong way. Whereas his brother defines himself by his bulk, the red-eyed Anvael expresses himself in other ways, namely his wit and his blue-dyed hair.

Friends in Vortex

Jhael Hlanni (half-Vysstichi)

Jhael Hlanni

Once a famous strategist and swordsman, the half-Vysstichi settled down in Vortex shortly after his wife died. His weathered visage and cloud-colored hair betray his two centuries of life, and his dark red eyes no longer glimmer with the same intensity of his youth. Because of his half-human blood, his face is oftentimes covered in a thick beard. Despite his age, the Prince of Har’oloth’s renowned teacher remains an influential and respected authority among countless martial circles. He is a proud father, and it is no secret that he views Faust like a son.

Adria Hlanni (quarter-Vysstichi)
As the daughter of Jhael Hlanni, it is unsurprising that Adria possesses her father’s warrior spirit. She was Faust’s childhood friend during his earliest years on the surface, although her interactions primarily consisted of deriding the young Prince for his ignorance and stupidity. Her long blonde curls, athletic and slender build, and strong personality have riveted the attention of many men, but her heart has always belonged to one man – even if he does not realize it.

Orthae Sargtlinen - Vysstichi from Herozzal

Saridar the Priest

Eryndyl Auvryndyr

A Vysstichi visionary, the self-styled Priest of Diana knew at a young age that there was more to life than eternal servitude to the Matrons of Herozzal. After faking his death and subsequently adopting a new identity, Saridar spent the next several centuries of his existence rallying others like himself who were discontent with Herozzal’s status quo. He finally transferred leadership of the Orthae Sargtlinen to Faust, who he believed capable of leading the hunted Vysstichi radicals to true freedom on the surface. Although Saridar's ancient age has inhibited his activity, the Priest continues to have a profound impact in encouraging the younger dark elven generation to oppose the traditions that shackle Vysstichi-kind in its evil ways.

Eryndyl Auvryndyr
Beautiful beyond comparison with her waterfall of silver tresses and a timeless face, Eryndyl was among the first to abandon her noble status in Herozzal to pursue Saridar’s vision of a liberal Vysstichi nation. After her repudiation of the matriarchal hierarchy, her family, House Auvryndyr, was besieged and obliterated. Even though Eryndyl’s life has been filled with war, heartache, and danger at every turn, she is pure-hearted and compassionate for the weak, especially those still enslaved by tradition and ignorance. The priestess has become an inspiration of hope for many throughout the world, and many view her as the epitome of wisdom.

Valoryn Auvryndyr
The battle-hardened General of the Orthae Sargtlinen, along with his magically-gifted sister, answered Saridar’s call during the early patterns of his adulthood. Notoriously stern, the disciplined Vysstichi’s red eyes rarely convey emotion, although his shortly-cropped white hair, regularly spiked upwards by some subterranean gel, evidences some vanity. While the threat of Herozzal’s matrons is no longer imminent consequent of the Orthae Sargtlinen’s relocation to the surface, Valoryn continues to train and discipline his soldiers for the brightening when their skills will be put to the test.

Durlyndyn Kensek

A giant of a dark elf, the legendary blacksmith stands over six feet tall. Over two hundred years of striking hammer on anvil has transformed every inch of his black body into thick muscle. Enslaved by the matrons of Herozzal because of his extraordinary abilities, Durlyndyn managed to escape his bondage with the help of Saridar and quickly enlisted with the Orthae Sargtlinen. Although his days of running from his former owners are long behind him, the blacksmith continues to practice his craft willfully and cheerfully. He is also the one responsible for outfitting both the Orthae Sargtlinen and Har’oloth’s infamous Black Legion.

Orthae Sargtlinen (150 warriors)
One of the most feared regiments in Vysstichi history, the Orthae Sargtlinen were a bane to the matrons of Herozzal. Composed of highly-skilled dark elves from all socioeconomic classes, the soldiers of the Orthae Sargtlinen adhere to the unorthodox belief that Vysstichi men and women were destined to be equal. Persecuted unremittingly for their liberal values, under the leadership of the Priest Saridar, they eventually found refuge with Faust D’Rinishad on the surface, where they pledged to join his family’s cause in uniting the elven races.

Refugees from Ire - Vysstichi from Hon'elgg

Rykken and Myrll

Rykken Maeviir
Once a mindless prisoner of Ire’s Dark Village, Rykken’s eyes were opened to the orcs’ tyranny shortly after meeting Faust. After the young prince was captured and imprisoned by Ire’s authorities, the middle-aged Rykken assembled his comrades, liberated Faust from captivity, and pledged to follow him to greater things. Decades of hard labor in the Dark Village have gifted Rykken with a solid physique, and the large scar running down his face indicates that he is no stranger to battle. Other than in the presence of his wife, the hardened refugee is generally very stern and serious.

The wife of Rykken, Myrll is a tiny and quiet woman. She faithfully followed Rykken to Ire’s Dark Village after their departure from Hon’elgg in search of better lives. She has consistently supported her husband’s decisions no matter the repercussions, including his irrevocable and life-changing decision to rebel against the forces of Ire and free Faust from prison. Myrll's plain appearance is tempered by her tender heart and loyalty.

Soft-spoken and gentle, Zeklyn possesses the qualities requisite of a knight. A former military officer in Hon’elgg, the amber-eyed Vysstichi was taken captive and sold to Ire after his house lost a pivotal battle to a rival clan. After leaving the Dark Village with Rykken and the other refugees, he immediately signed on with Faust and House D’Rinishad. Zeklyn’s obsequiousness has not disappeared since becoming a free man again, but his undying loyalty, commitment, and swordsmanship have earned him respect and rank among his peers. Over the years, because of his skill, he was promoted to the young prince’s personal guard.

Nadoj Myervs
A cocky young mage, Nadoj is as arrogant as he is vain. His egotism landed him in a slave caravan in Ire when he slept with a Vysstichi priestess from an enemy house in Hon’elgg. Naturally, he gravitated towards Rykken, Myrll, and the Hun’ath sisters, the younger of whom he showed immense interest in. Upon escaping Ire with Faust, he was easily swayed to the young prince’s service by self-conjured assurances of good companionship, that is, female companionship, and power. Even for an elf, Nadoj is devilishly handsome. His unblemished visage and stark white hair are assets that even some members of the opposite sex have been known to envy.

Sold into slavery after a thwarted assassination attempt on a low-ranking matron’s life, Ilivarra discovered herself at the brutal mercy of the orcs of Ire. After seeking an escape for years, she assisted Rykken in rescuing Faust from Ire’s shaman torturers and decided to join him upon witnessing his abundant wealth and power. Exotic, chin-length white hair and a pretty face are Ilivarra’s trademarks; they are also her deadliest weapons. Seductive and shrewd, the provocative assassin from Hon’elgg is nearly as deadly with her crooked smile as she is with a dagger.

Alyiira Hun'ath
Like her younger sister, Alyiira was sold into slavery after the two of them were betrayed by a former ally in Hon’elgg. Although far more docile and less attractive than Ilivarra, Alyiira is no less dangerous. While her sister spent most of her earlier ordinations teasing weak-minded males and shattering their dreams of sexual gratification, Alyiira devoted herself entirely to the study of mysticism. After fleeing Ire with Rykken and Faust, she decided to stay with the young prince, believing that he was her best opportunity not only to cater to her studiousness with his vast resources, but also to provide her and Ilivarra with the best chance to survive outside of a now hostile Hon’elgg.

  • Adept Mysticism
Drisda Godeana
Once groomed to be a matron, Drisda stumbled from grace after repeatedly failing to lead her troops to victory over a Daelagian colony outside of Hon’elgg. Suspected to have fallen out of favor with Haya, she was exiled and left to wander the subterranean caverns alone. An orcish raiding party eventually captured and brought her to Ire, which she eventually escaped from with the help of the young prince. Enraged and bitter at her heartless people, she joined Faust with the hope of repaying Hon’elgg for its disloyalty to her. As a former, decorated patrol leader, she bears numerous scars from countless battles. Drisda is exceptionally strong for a Vysstichi woman and views revenge as the be all and end all of her existence, even at the cost of her appearance.

Godlike fighters, the Grandmasters are forever remembered for their valor and are known to break the physical limitations seemingly at will, capable of Masteries that lesser fighters can scarcely comprehend, let alone attempt. Often called one-man armies, Grandmasters are able to defeat countless lower-proficient fighters without much difficulty. Their physique is a testament to their life-long struggle to achieve this near-perfection; through enough conditioning and practice, a Grandmaster can withstand amazing amounts of physical pain and anguish. Incredibly fast and strong, their courage and valor enable them to seemingly perform miracles." - Arms Primer | Correspondence | Glory of the Conqueror"The Aspect of Constantine infuses your words and actions; when you are engaged in armed or magical combat, commanding armies on the tactical battlefield, or planning a military stratagem for warfare, you will have a decisive advantage against a character of the same relative skill, all other influences being equal, and will be able to out-maneuver them." - Kaelon

Sword Masteries

The Blinding Strikes - original creation
The culmination of a lifetime of intensive training and combat experience, the Blinding Strikes are associated with the godlike speed exhibited in the practitioner’s swordplay. Through protracted conditioning and practicing with a specially-manufactured sword multiple times heavier than an ordinary long blade, the practitioner develops the extraordinary ability over time to wield a regular long sword with phenomenal speed and accuracy. At the highest level, the swordsman’s blade becomes virtually imperceptible.

The Nine-Piece Thrust - original creation
Essentially a series of supersonic sword strikes, the swordsman, by engineering a continuous string of motion from a single thrust, targets nine vital regions of an opponent’s body. Beginning with a low cut from the victim’s right leg to the left leg, the swordsman subsequently guides his blade up and diagonally across the victim’s waist and lower left shoulder, back across the victim’s chest and right shoulder, and then finishes with a vicious horizontal cut to the victim’s neck. Empowered by the Blinding Strikes, the Nine-Piece Thrust is frequently conceived to strike all nine vital areas simultaneously.

The Weave - original creation
[Edit Coming Soon]

Spell-Cutting - original creation
By integrating one’s knowledge of arcana and swordsmanship, at the highest level, a swordsman can perceive the threads of ara that comprise a spell and severe them with his sword, resulting in the unraveling of the spell’s weave and thus the spell itself. The technique is highly specialized and requires uncanny speed and accuracy. With practice, the swordsman can dispel multiple spells at a time.

Grandmaster Swordsman"Throughout Aelyria's history, there have been tales and stories of mythological warriors sometimes mistaken for blessed or divine entities.

Weapons

The Lightblade
Type: Long Sword
Material: Aethergem
Location: The quest for the red shard of the Aethergem
Description:
Renamed “Lightblade” after being reforged by a shard of the Aethergem, the sword once belonged to Hannas Darkblade, former Commander of the Imperial Army and Governor of Sheria. With its rose-colored hue, the blade is capable of slicing through anything and is incapable of losing its perfect edge. The sword is now wielded in memory of its former owner and to honor his legacy. See Secrets of Foresight.

Soulseeker
Type: Long Sword
Material: Adamantite
Location: Light in the land of darkness
Description:
Crafted by the hands of Herozzal’s legendary blacksmith, Yuli, the long sword is forged entirely from adamantite ore, from its skull-bobbled pommel to the magically sharpened edges of the blade itself. Two rubies are set in the eye-holes of the skull, and the outer portions of the hilt are fashioned into two wickedly curved prongs extending away from the blade but curving slightly inwards at the pointed tips. The ruby in the skull’s left eye-hole is enchanted with a spell of haste, granting its wielder enhanced speed.

Blood Winter
Type: Long Sword
Material: Elven Steel
Location: Blood Winter
Description:
Named after the elemental demon that once plagued the shadows of Riparia, Blood Winter, a Necromantic Flameblade, is a demon of its own. The long sword is constructed from black elven steel, and the length of its blade exhibits a peculiar emerald hue – a testament of its raw magical power. The pommel assumes the form of a claw clasping a spherically-fashioned emerald, and the hilt is arc-shaped and decorated with esoteric Vysstichi characters.

Sword of Illusions
Type: Long Sword
Material: Unknown
Location: Pursuit of Perfection
Description:
Wrought of a foreign and mysterious metal, the sword radiates a perpetual glow akin to that of a newly constructed blade. The weapon is light and its handle adjusted to enhance the Prince’s grip. Peculiarly, the sword emits a shrill noise every time it cuts through the air. The extent of its properties remain undiscovered.

Jorel's Fangs
Type: Short Swords
Material: Ardentium
Location: For King and Country . . . Matron's not needed
Description:
The blades were gifted to Faust by Serion D'Rinishad during their pursuit of Iseril Kitrye'veresi in Herozzal. The swords have a rich history and are fashioned entirely from ardentium, increasing their value and durability exponentially. Faust returned the swords to Serion shortly after his valiant return from death.

Long Knife
Type: Long Knife
Material: Ardentium
Location: From Prime to Imperia, a long walk
Description:
The long knife, wrought from ardentium, possesses a slightly curved blade. Faust discovered the rare weapon after eliminating a marauding Vysstichi band from the underground caverns of the Arakmatian Frontierlands with his companion, the assassin, Trevlyn Darkwind.

Elven Long Knife
Type: Long Knife
Material: Ardentium
Location: Trade District
Description:
Purchased from a vendor in Orckon, the ardentium long knife contains a ruby at the bottom of its ivory hilt, which is separated from its curved mythril blade by an elegantly-styled crosspiece. There are several crimson runes running along the sides of the dagger, which, when glowing, reveal several elfish inscriptions.

Danvan's Dagger
Type: Dagger
Material: Obsidian
Location: The Aedile's Office
Description:
Designed by the Master Sorcerer Danvan, the tiny dagger is virtually ineffective for offensive purposes. The obsidian blade extends no more than two or three inches, and its tip is dark blue. It is enchanted with a magical shield that activates once grasped. There is an engraved image of a half-Thelyri, half-lizard on its edges.

Armor

Helm of the High Lord
Material: Adamantite
Location: Whispers in the Dark
Description:
A fearsome helm constructed from adamantite, it was worn by the High Lord of Har’oloth when he led the united Vysstichi-Esh’lahier coalition against the forces of Varelinen Vhid D’issan and Hon’elgg during the War of Har’oloth. Two ogre horns resembling those of a ram’s curl backward from the sides of the helm, providing additional protection to the sinister visor that shields its wearer’s visage.

Jharalynn's Armor
Material: Adamantite
Location: Whispers in the Dark
Description:
This wicked, full set of adamantite plate armor was discovered in a secret chamber in House Kitrye’veresi shortly before the War of Har’oloth. It once belonged to the light-born elf, Jharalynn Dhorc’sar, Archmage of Elementalism. Because the armor itself was forged entirely from adamantite, it is light as a feather yet it provides superlative protection second only to Aetherium.

Ardentium Face Mask
Material: Ardentium
Location: Paragon Arms and Armory
Description:
The gleaming mask was constructed from the remains of the ardentium ore acquired in the Ariumite Highlands. Its eye holes, mouth hole, and strap promote comfort and stability for its wearer.

Ardentium Chainmail
Material: Ardentium
Location: Paragon Arms and Armory
Description:
Forged in the heart of Riparia, the long-sleeved shirt of interlocking magical links was manufactured from the ardentium block that Faust discovered in the Ariumite Highlands. The masterpiece provides ample protection to its wearer, and its light weight and durability foster mobility.

Ardentium Rings
Material: Ardentium
Location: The Bazaar
Description:
Purchased from a jewelry stand in Vortex’s marketplace, one of the rings is pyramidal in design and the other two bear spiked tips.

Ardentium Ring
Material: Ardentium
Location: Paragon Arms and Armory
Description:
Tempered from the leftover fragments of ardentium used in the production of the dark elf’s ardentium armor and ardentium mask (see above), the magical ring was tinged black. It was later enchanted by the Archprelatess, Aerienne Sarista, with the spell, Greater Healing.

Ardentium Swordsman's Gloves
Material: Ardentium
Location: The Birth of an Army
Description:
Once the property of the Weapons Master of the Seventh House of Herozzal, the masterfully assembled pair of gloves fell into the Prince's hands following his defeat of House Godeghym's most acclaimed warrior, Dauraun Godeghym. The haste-enchanted gloves, combined with ardentium’s standard enhancing properties, make the gloves invaluable on the right person’s hands.

Demon Slayer Bracers
Material: Black Leather
Location: Blood Winter
Description:
Simple in design and woven from tough leather, the bracers convey an unremarkable appearance; however, there are unorthodox runes along the material that intermittently glow red, evidencing that the bracers are far more than what they seem.

Larothiet's Leggings
Material: Ardentium
Location: Old Faces, Old Friends
Description:
Crafted from doubly inter-locking rings of ardentium, the elegantly-woven leggings resemble more of a silky fabric than chain mail. Lightweight and perfectly tailored to its owner, the leggings bear a small plate with the inscription: L. Dilae, Armorer, for Faust D'Rinishad, Era XIV Post Fractum (description written by GD Aqua).

Apparel and Accessories

Cindel's Wreath
Location: Treasure Hunt
Description:
Given to him by Cindel, a druid, in the Arakmatian Frontierlands, the miniature wreath is imbued with fifteen spells of healing that can be replenished by returning to the enchanted forest in the Frontierlands and dipping it into one of its magical wells.

Shadow Medallion
Location: The Lone Child
Description:
The copper medallion, attached to a silver necklace, depicts a dark elf and is slightly larger than a gold crown. When worn, it renders the wearer into a shadow, leaving him or her invisible to the naked eye. The medallion is enchanted with the necromantic spell, Convoke Shadows.

Sun Spectacles
Location: From Prime to Imperia, a long walk
Description:
Although it is neither magical nor enchanted, when placed over one's eyes, the sunglasses manipulate the light spectrum into darker shades. It is useful when traveling the surface lands, especially when the Twin Suns of Telath are at their apexes.

Black Silk Trousers
Location: Calb-Soth's Wondrous Wares
Description:
Purchased at Calb-Soth's Wondrous Shop in Imperia, the black silk trousers are perfectly tailored to the dark elf's slender frame. The magical pockets of the pants, however, are capable of producing anything within the circumference of the pockets. However, items can only be drawn on hourly intervals and not more than one crown can be extracted per brightening.

Demon Slayer Medallion
Location: Blood Winter
Description:
Removed from the corpse of the renowned demon slayer, Thorn, the medallion is a rare and powerful artifact. Shaped into the image of a swordsman piercing the top of a demon’s head, the medallion contains the useful ability to absorb magical attacks and intrusions. When functioning, it reflects the color of light consonant with the type of arcana that it is absorbing.

Royal Red Cloak
Location: The Aedile's Office
Description:
Bought from the merchant stand of Narra the Elementalist, the shimmering red cloak contains the ability to 'charm' those within an unspecified radius. Its potency varies from person to person, but, at the minimum, it augments the wearer’s charisma.

Emerald Cloak
Location: The Aedile's Office
Description:
Blessed by the hands of a deceased Ikos mage, the emerald cloak radiates a magical aura that repels evil. The undead in particular have repeatedly shied away from the mantle, confirming its unique properties. An elegantly designed albeit indecipherable rune is stitched on the back of the cloak.

Sapphire Cloak
Location: The Aedile's Office
Description:
The mantle is sown from the finest azure silk and trimmed with silver fox fur. When worn, it rejuvenates the wearer, reducing weariness and fatigue. Also, when donned while sleeping, the wearer awakens completely refreshed.

Quicksilver Boots
Location: The Aedile's Office
Description:
The light brown boots are comfortably fitting. They are enchanted with spells to increase the wearer’s speed and to enable the person to maintain steady velocities for extensive periods of time.

Vashti's Amulet
Location: Rise of the Patriarch
Description:
A gift from his cousin, Vashti Kitrye’veresi, the amulet is a teleportation device that operates via conjuring portals contingent upon the wearer’s memories and desires. It can be activated with a single thought, returning the wearer to a location of that person’s choosing insofar as he or she has been there before.
