Psionic Orb - Focusing her own neural energies, the Mystic can launch a small sphere of psychic shock in the form of a psionic orb. When the orb strikes an opponent at close range, it delivers a stun that deals both damage and immobilizes the creature. Reveal - The Mystic has the capacity to read the thoughts of others. By using this spell, the caster will be able to discern the true feelings, emotions or thoughts of the target. The success of this spell is based upon the level of intelligence of the target, the caster's proficiency with the spell, and the proximity to the target. Spell Nullify - The Mystic is able to counter a spell that has yet been cast by creating a field of psionic energy that is imbued with the spirit of coherence, for this field will anticipate the type of spell to be cast, and shall counter it. This spell functions only for spells cast at the same level, or lower, of proficiency as the Mystic caster. Suggestion - This spell will enable the Mystic to emplant a short, brief suggestion in the mind of the target. The suggestion is usually a one-word feeling, sensation or thought that will likely ellicit a natural reaction. For example, the suggestion of hot might cause an enemy to drop a weapon. Terrify - Activating the emotion of fear, the Mystic can implant a sensation of terror into the heart of her desired target. If the target responds, it shall panic and attempt to flee, though this sensation of terror only lasts for a brief period of time. Imparted Spells - Apprentice Alliance - A Mystic can instill thoughts of friendship, peace and cooperation in the mind of the desire target for a duration. While the alliance is in effect, the target will dismiss any hostility and view the Mystic as a friend and partner. Animation - Mystics have the power to summon forth an animation, a translucent spirit of psionic energy capable of engaging in tasks and combat. Animations exist in physical manifestation for only a brief period of time, until they lose their cogency and must return to an imaginary state. At greater proficiencies, larger animations that last for a longer duration may be conjured. Cripple - In an attempt to weaken an opponent, the Mystic can send a burst of psionic energy to overcome an active arcalysis, or magical reaction, within the field surrounding an opponent. If successful, the spell will remove any magical shields or energy wards being used. Illusion - Bending and reshaping light, the Mystic can disguise herself or a companion in the visage of another creature or being of roughly the same size and mass. The illusion lasts for a considerably period of time, and can be extended with persistent and unbroken concentration. Mesmerize - Instill a strong emotive or neural shock into the mind of an enemy, the Mystic can in effect enthrall the creature so that it is unable to move or attack for a brief period of time, or until it is attacked. At greater profiencies, this spell has longer duration and greater effect. Mind Shackle - Imposing a series of restraints on the mind, the Mystic can prevent a targetted enemy from fleeing combat. Psionic Shock - Gathering forth her psionic energies, the Mystic can infuse into the body a powerful psionic shock that sends the victim spasming uncontrollably for a very brief duration, while dealing moderate damage. Regress - Mystics can infuse a person with a matrix of speed inhibitors that slow the pace of neural energy in that creature. For a period of time, that being will consequently have slower reflexes, less coherent thinking, and poor coordination. Sentinel - The Mystic can imbue an immediate environment with her consciousness and in effect, remain aware of what occurs in that environment for a brief period of time, regardless of where her actual physical location may be.
