Llanwyn Siannodel is a benevolent Adventurer
[Castle Carmelya] A.P.E. Development

Time Stamp forthcoming, confusion with it, this actually takes place at the beginning of the first month of Spring

Llanwyn arrived at Zim's Forge with a thought in mind. They had discussed the "pipes" he was creating months ago and he had no doubt forged some already, but Llanwyn had yet to see them. He had been gone, but now he was ready to move forward with the project. It seemed plausible enough, but he and Zim would have to test and tweak his ideas until it worked to the best of its ability. He walked around to the back of the forge where he figured Zim hung out when not in the front and peered around the corner, hoping to find the dracon somewhere near.

"Zim," he said upon finding Zim. "I have an idea involving those medal cylinders I discussed with you. Have you forged them yet?" He knew he'd have to imbue them still and wanted to do so as soon as possible, but he figured he could always cast a spell on one for initial testing purposes.

"I brought some small stones with me, we can try these out first." He shuffled the rocks in his palm, "They're rather light, so I'm sure they'll do just fine."

His initial idea is simple enough, but fairly revolutionary. Have long tube-like cylinders forged from medal imbued with a druidic spell that intensifies air flow. The spell he had in mind was "Gust of Wind," imbuing the tube so that the wind comes out of a single end in only one direction. Then place any small object in the opposite end and the gust of wind spell would activate to force it from the tube at a high speed. There were factors to consider of course. The first of which was initial air flow. The "Gust of Wind" spell wouldn't work without initial wind or breeze of some sort. In other words, these tubes wouldn't function indoors. Secondly, accuracy would need to be worked out. If the tube was kept small enough, the air would stream from it consistently, but the length of the tube would need to be long enough to aim. These were all things they would work out in testing.

Zim Rage is an upstanding Citizen
"Indeed they are finished, let me go get them for you," Zim went into another room and came back with a leather satchel with several pipes in them, "I made them to be a foot long, a foot and a half long, and 8 inches long. There are 6 total. Each one is an inch and a half in diamiter with an 8th of an inch wall thickness. Made from hymm steel, these are strong enough to club an orc with, and no gust of wind should be strong enough to take one apart at the seams, but I've seen weirder, I suppose."

Llanwyn took a pipe and grinned. "Good," he said, showing a sign of approval as he ran his palm over the cool hymm steel. It reminded him of his sword, which was also built of the unique alloy. Which in turn reminded him of something Zim had said not too long ago.

"Are you still working on Fae steel my friend?" he asked with a grin, "I'd very much like a sword."

Then his attention turned back to the pipes. "I'll take this one," motioning to the one he held, "and imbue it with Gust of Wind. I'll return soon." He smiled and took the pipe with him into the manner house.
