[House Siannodel] Castle Carmelya of the Dolwoods
Quote:
|
At the head of the square, is a manor of magnificent alabaster stone that contrasts the black stone of the fortress beautifully. It was obvious that the ornate keep is the abode of the castle lord or lady.
|
The Manor House is the largest of the homes in Castle Carmelya. Constructed of alabaster stone, it shines in the sun as it creeps over the five-story walls of the castle. The entrance lies inside a minor courtyard only surrounded on three sides. The Manor House itself is a three story building housing the Lord Llanwyn Siannodel. The second and third floors have hard-wood flooring and walls while the first floor contains alabaster flooring and walls.
The impressive house acts as the manor house of House Siannodel and in its walls, the future of the House and its mission are decided. When House members, possible partners and the like visit the castle, they hold their meetings and tea times in the Manor House.
This is a work in progress
First Floor:
Main Hall, Dining Hall, Sitting Rooms, Kitchen, Maid's Station, Small Office.
Second Floor:
Large Office, Meeting Room (with table and chairs), Several Bedrooms, Small Offices.
Third Floor:
Executive Office with connecting Bedroom, Dojo, Green-Room (plants), Other Rooms.

Zim recieved the heavy card and looked it over. "I'll be sure to attend," Zim told the messanger, "Mark us for 4 seats among us. If we need more, we'll send word." Zim handed the messanger 50gc and sent him on his way and bought the invitation to Llanwyns room for him to see when he returns.

Fourth Brightening of Cryxatum, Summer of Era XIV
delivered by wizard mail…
Quote:
To the attention of: Llanwyn Siannodel
Castle Carmelya of the Dolwoods
The Centripaxian Heartlands
Administrate of Centripax
From the desk of: His Most Imperial Excellency Milo L’Evienne
Imperial Regent
Imperial Palace, Aelyria Prime, Principality of Prime
Mr. Siannodel,
Greetings from the Imperial Palace sir and in hopes that this missive finds you in good health and high spirits. I write to you this brightening not in my capacity as Imperial Regent alone, but in addition, as head of the Church of the Faith. As you are no doubt aware, the Church is in need of a suitable successor to her Imperial Excellency, the lady Aerienne Sarista. Your name has been provided to me for consideration by Sir Dimitri as one who might be found suitable to the role should such be your interest, and should our conversation lead me to believe that such is in the best interests of the Church of the Faith. In light of this, I would like to meet with you in my offices in the Imperial Palace for the purposes of discussion and should you be available at this time, you will find the gentlemen who's delivered this missive quite capable of transporting you to Aelyria Prime. If circumstances have it that the moment is not an opportune one and would prefer to reschedule a discussion for the earliest possible time, please inform Mr. Hurin. I have given him my personal leave to arrange a more opportune time at his discretion.
Regards,
Milo L’Evienne

In fact, Llanwyn would find the elder human who’d delivered the message from Aelyria Prime to be a colorful fellow, portly and jolly with laughing blue eyes, berobed and with a shock of white hair barely contained underneath a most unusual raspberry beret that managed quite the contrast to otherwise plain black robes. A sorcerer of some talent in the employ of the Imperial Regent, and a man who could manage the transport in the blink of an eye.

Llanwyn greeted the messenger, smiling at this seemingly jolly fellow and took the letter to read. As he read it, his brow furrowed and then slightly morphed into the top half of a smile. "Lord Dimitri," he thought, "ah, yes." He then thought of Aerienne and felt warm inside. His faith and understanding of the gods had almost always left him to smile, as it was through his spirituality that he found reason to live and fight for justice and equality. In that way, he was a patriot of the faith, though not in a martial sense.
He asked the messenger to hold for just a moment. Llanwyn called to a maid nearby and asked her to retrieve his winter robes. She did so and he quickly slipped them over his casual dark-blue robes. The combination was that of blue and green, like the world around them. Then he looked to the messenger and nodded, it was time to be off.

The End of Cryxatum, Summer of Era XIV
Via "Sorcerer Express" Llanwyn arrived back at the Castle. He hadn't been there in two cycles and the newly crowned Archprelate was more than happy to be home for a few brightenings. He would have to return soon enough though, to Diana, where he would be meeting with a few religious orders and ultimately everyone else he would be dealing with from now on. Aerienne was being a great help and Llanwyn had a feeling the transition would be easier than he originally thought it would be.
"Good to see you, Lord," Said Peebles, the assistant to the overseer for the castle. "An'fel has been expecting your return, as have I. Any news I should know about in order to assist you further?"
Llanwyn was glad he had such amazing overseers taking care of the castle in his stead. He nodded to Peebles and thanked him with a grin. "Actually, before we get into that, I'd like to know the current status of the people."
Peebles nodded, "Of course." He exited the room briefly and called for An'fel. "He should be up shortly. I believe he's going over some plans with the farmers." Llanwyn nodded, happy to hear it.
Llanwyn took the time to take off his cloak and set it on a chair. He asked for Peebles to fetch a maid, which he did. She arrived with a gleaming smile and greeted Llanwyn with a curtsy. He smiled back and asked for tea. "Absolutely my Lord, be right back."
An'fel, a half-elven, older gentlemen, arrived a moment later with parchment in hand. "My Lord Siannodel, I am glad you have returned. What would you like to go over first?'
Llanwyn greeted him with a handshake, "First and foremost I'd like to know the state of the people."
An'fel nodded, "I have been working diligently with the farmers to assure that they are considering the good of the estate. We have gone over plans for staple crops for the next era and at this time the next pattern is tentatively planned." He cleared his throat, "Also, the guard has been active, though not with trouble. A few of them assisted some laborers with repairing the stables. Oh, and on that note, Briigo is doing well."
Llanwyn nodded, glad to know his horse was well. "Good, I believe we are about to get quite busy and in my head I have a plan of action I'd like to run by both of you." He looked to Peebles, a twenty-something human boy of good manners, and motioned for he and An'fel to please take a seat. "If you could document this Peebles?" He received his hot tea from the maid and thanked her with a smile. Then he took a sip and continued...
"I have been crowned the new Archprelate of the Church of Faith."
The look on Peebles' and An'fel's face was classic. They were shocked and excited all at the same time. Their Lord, their employer... the new Archprelate of the Faith, a holy man to be regarded and listened to. Being quite religious (both of them), this was amazing news. Llanwyn quelled their excitement before it continued, "I am also excited, I assure you, very excited."
Peebles congratulated Llanwyn along with An'fel. Llanwyn thanked both of them... "This will mean that much of my time will be spent in Diana, but I have plans that will bring me here quite often as well. This is why I am here speaking to you." He sipped his tea again. "I am already the acting Archprelate, and I must be in Diana in a few brightenings to begin the transition into the position with the help of the Lady Aerienne. I plan on returning now and then to build upon the following plan..." He cleared his throat...
"Castle Carmelya will be home to a new chapel, this is my plan. The chapel will be a Church blessed building, but will be my own personal place of worship. Of course others will be allowed to worship there as well, and services will be held there on a regular basis in time. The chapel will be in honor of all of the gods just as this very castle is in honor of the goddess Carmelya. I would both of your suggestions as to where this chapel should be placed and any other things you can think of regarding it."

An'fel spoke up. "This sounds like a wonderful plan your holiness." The title was foreign, but he liked it. An'fel had been a faithful member of the Church since he was a young lad and this was an honor for him, to be working for and alongside the Archprelate. He smiled as he thought about it before continuing. "What I suggest would be the eastern manor wall, facing toward the eastern gate. It would be easily accessible to pilgrims and be connected to the manor house ease of use by yourself and your family. Also, it would keep visitors from tramping about the entire castle grounds."
Llanwy nodded, this was indeed a good plan. "Yes, I like that. What's there now?"
"Farm land," said Peebles, pointing to a spot on a map he unrolled upon the low-lying table between them. "Barren though, actually An'fel and I had discussed it becoming a garden to accent the manor house."
An'fel nodded, "Yes, we were going to suggest it to you upon your return, but this is even better a use. Since the rest of the farm land is located in the back of the settlement, it made little use to reinvigorate the soil here for crops."
Llanwyn smiled, "Aye, good." Every once in a while he slipped in a word in his native tongue, "aye" meaning "yes" in fae'len. "I assure you, around the chapel will be a rose garden for sure, keep that in mind please."
They both nodded. "Who will be building this chapel my Lord?" asked An'fel.
"I will be consulting Church architects and having the plans drawn in both Diana and here. They will likely be traveling here more than once before the designs are approved. In time, a building company, preferably local, will be building the construct. I am planning on asking Zim Rage to weld statuary and such for the inside as well."
Llanwyn sipped his tea and set it down, "Actually, can one of you ask master Rage if he can join us please?" Peebles immediately stood and exited the room to find the smithy.

Moments later Zim was escorted to the castle by the youthfull Peebles, haveing not been told of Llanwyns new Zim entered the room and greated his old friend with a hearty serale and a smile. "Serale, friend, what news do you have from Prime sir?" Zim asked in greeting, he wasnt really expecting much, just more politics that he wouldnt have a hand in.
Zim sat down at the table, next to Llanwyn but with a decent amount of space between them. He looked on to the fae with a smile as he awaited his responce. He was dirty with sot from the forge, he obviously didn't have time to clean before his summoning to the court.

"Serale indeed," said Llanwyn as he greeted Zim, "I indeed do have news from Prime." Llanwyn knew Zim would be excited for him. He hadn't told Zim much of the possible position, but he had been visiting Aerienne quite a bit so maybe Zim would put two and two together. Still, even Llanwyn was surprised that he was crowned.
"Actually... I've been crowned the new Archprelate of the Faith." He smiled excitedly.
"And now we have planning to do as I'll be spending time in Diana and would like for their to be a chapel here in the castle. That's where you come in."

Zim was very excited for the newly crowned fae. "Congradulations, but I'm not going to call you "your holiness" Llanwyn. You'll always be just a fae to me," Zim said with a chuckle and a wink. Zim sat on the edge of the seat as he waited for what was next.
"Whare I come in? I'll do what I can," Zim said, a look of concern on his face. Theres a lot that he could do, but build chaples no. And while yes Zim used to own a granit quarry in tirisfal, he handed that over to the city to build revinue for the city after the attacks by diana. "What do you have in mind?"

Llanwyn laughed, enjoying Zim's joke. "Statuary actually, and maybe other things like ornate door handles and the like. I'd love for the chapel to showcase your work and we can work out together exactly what's needed once plans have begun." He smiled, hoping Zim would be excited about the opportunity. There would be pilgrims and faithful viewing his work from all over, hopefully further building his reputation as a highly-skilled metalsmith.
"So, what do you think Zim?" He looked to Peebles and An'fel, then back to Zim with a smile.

The End of Cryxatum, Summer of Era XIV
The party from Arakmat materialised in front of the imposing moat and gates of Castle Carmelya of the Dolwoods. He chuckled at the looks on his companions faces, Palacrisis occasionally had the ability to surprise and this well kept secret location deep in the strange Dolwoods was large enough to cause some raised eyebrows.
Welcome my friends to Castle Carmelya this place will become one of the great centres of learning, scholarship and hope for the peoples of Centripax and beyond. As well as the natural home of House Siannodel of which I have the honour to be a favoured friend .
Through the gates and over the moat they walked after introducing themselves to the guards .They strolled through the small town that was enclosed by the huge black walls of this stronghold. Already people were beginning to inhabit this place and the sounds and smells of industry and life were making themselves known.
Pala lead the way up to the magnificent manor house and having gained entrance walked through the wood lined house to the main hall where he hoped to meet Llanwyn or as his brief note had explained the new Archprelate of the Church of Faith. House Siannodel was going up in the world and Palacrisis was prepared to ensure this happened even from the grey mist of the back ground.

Pala & Zim
Llanwyn had been alerted to Palacrisis' arrival. He had come more or less instantly it seemed, having ultimately received Llanwyn's letter today by messenger. The trouble of hiring an outside messenger for House business had left it's mark on Llanwyn and he had made a mental note to hire a messenger specifically for House business. The mage turned Archprelate quickly excused the current meeting in process with Zim, Peebles and An'fel. He invited them all downstairs to greet his friend and ally.
"Governor Jones," he said with a grin as he entered the great hall, finding Palacrisis and guests standing in the largely barren room. Llanwyn laughed and offered his hand to Pala. "Palacrisis, friends..." he said, addressing all there, "You'll have to excuse the barren landscape of this room, I haven't yet had time to order furnishings."
Llanwyn introduced the others with him... "Palacrisis, you of course know An'fel, the overseer of the castle, but I'm not sure if you've met Peebles, his assistant. And of course, Zim Rage... we were upstairs discussing some plans I'm sure you're be excited to hear about." After chatting for a few moments, a servant entered the room and nodded to Llanwyn from an open doorway. Llanwyn nodded in return and thanked him. "It appears the sitting room is prepared for us with tea if you care to join me. Oh, and it has chairs, so you won't have to stand." With that he let out a laugh.

Palacrisis took the proffered hand and shook it strongly never taking his intense blue eyes from the face of his friend. Llanwyn seemed happy as well he should the honour bestowed upon the faes shoulders was immense and very heavy but at this moment in time he did not realise it.
He took a step backwards as he released Llanwyn’s hand and made a formal bow of his head.
My lord Archprelate may I be one of the first to congratulate you on your appointment. Arakmat stands ready to welcome your archprelacy my province is in great need of spiritual wisdom.
The moment was formal two men who stood close to the pinnacle of the empire but Palacrisis could not deny his nature and a broad grin crossed his face and he grasped Llanwyn’s arm oh well done my friend the gods are smiling on House Siannodel and it would be churlish to deny that fact
He smiled and greeted the men who were introduced and walked across to Zim and grasped a heavy shoulder its good to see you again old friend its been toolong
The beautiful fire haired woman that accompanied them stood back and let the friends reunite but as he disengaged himself from his reunions Pala announced.
My friends I have the honour to introduce to you my wife the lady J’lyara the flame of my existence

"Sure," Zim said quickly, "I'd be more then happy to do so for you. Though I should inform you of this now, I intend to head to Teralon soon. They are going to need good smiths to produce weapons in the coming war, as well I am considering opening a forge there to sell my whares in. They need me there, and I feel as though I can be of a great service there. As well, I could probibly spread the name of the Sianodel Family while I am there. I'll be leaving a cycles time. But in the mean time, other then statuary to be designed and built once the chapel is completed, how else can I help you sir?"
Zim sat back in the chair, very relaxed an crossed his left leg over his right. He had been on his feet all day training and working the forge. He enjoyed sitting down on the comfort of soft chairs, but he always worried about getting them dirty. This time, Zim wore he cleaner cloak, which kept the soot off of the furniture well enough.
The reply was interupted by the arrivale of Palacrisis and his companions. It was like an old time reunion. The last time that they all met they were all seeing this place for the first time. "Serale Palacrisis! It most certianly has been too long. Oh so this is your lovely wife, Nice to make your aquantance. On the subject of your wife, I am reminded of a gift I crafted for you two. They are back to my forge, so I'll have to fetch them for you, of cource, but that will be for another time. Come, join us for tea!" Zim then headed towards to sitting room as he listioned for the replies of the present company.
