[Riparia] Dagrun looks around (Mike, open)
Timestamp: (Second cycle of Kalendryas, pf XIII)
Dateline: Riparia
Dagrun decided that if he was going to be working for Sharinya, for the provincial government itself, then he had to know what was going on all over Centripax. It was one thing to report on the capital, to have an idea what was going on in Primus Gaudeo, but Dagrun Murrough was the sort of Dwarf who wanted to have his thumb on the pulse of all the cities of the province. It was his goal to visit everywhere from Acumin to Siona. But first stop was Riparia.
He paused to admire the majesty that was the Forge, and he remembered the time a chunk of Riparia had been ruined.
Dagrun had not heard much out of Riparia lately. Well, that was why he was here.
As this was his first provincial position, instead of being one of the nameless lackeys and lictors floating around either Zerd or Primus Gaudeo, his ostensible goal was to get his face out there, see if he could make some contacts in Riparia. See what it wanted from Primus Gaudeo, see what it could give back. Unofficially, make sure everyone was loyal to Sharinya. There would be no more humiliating Herald articles while Dagrun Murrough was around!
Shrugging, he approached one of the guards. Asking for a bloody elf would be out of the question, he'd go with the human fellow. "Serale, I am Dagrun Murrough. I have been appointed as Lord* Chamberlain of Centripax by her Imperial Excellency." He showed the guard the papers Sharinya had given him. "I apologize I did not send word beforehand. I realize it is much to ask, but if possible I would like to meet with Captain Dalegan, if that is possible. Lorician highly recommends him."
For those who had not seen him before-- and this was just about everyone-- Dagrun was, oxymoronically speaking, a tall Dwarf, neat and with a red hair and beard. For whatever reason, he did not wear a skull-cap, and he had no particular weapon, but he looked very clean and well-groomed. Especially for a Dwarf: his were not hands that ever wielded an axe, or grabbed a bottle, or even knew how to make a fist.
