Thought I would drop in an say hi. I will try to give weekly updates about the progress of the Snake and his goings on. I hope to bring a little of my personality to the land. That is either a good thing or bad.... I'll let you be the judge.

The new teaching assignment is going much better than expected. For now I just need to get them motivated. Grades are due this week and I find that a majority of my students are failing. This is due to the fact that they don't turn anything in. Plus it isn't just my class it is the others as well.
My mind may be elsewhere this week as I have 3 family members in the hospital. My uncle has a blood disease and is going through the process of dialysis, my brother got something lodged in his throat at dinner last night and couldn't breathe, and finally my grandmother is going in for knee replacement surgery today. She is an 86 year old stubborn woman who I love dearly. I know everything will go fine and she will be able to walk without pain after it. Plus it isn't her time to go yet.
Hey snake, just wanting an update of the students and how your work life is going. I am sorry to hear about the family members by the way, they have my wishes as I don't pray so best of luck to them.

Well as far as work goes, things could not get any easier. I have taken some of the worst behaved students and turned them into robots. Not really, but I have them so well trained that some of my colleagues can't believe what they see. As a matter of fact they are all sitting quietly and finishing up the work they have had this week. Now mind you they aren't getting the greatest grades in the world, but I am taking baby steps. Behavior is controlled, next is the motivation for an education.
As I said before, it was either going to be a difficult year or an easy one. I had to make it an easy one. Too bad I jumped the gun a little on my resigning from my positions. Luckily I am loved (or I think I am) by members of Aelyria and they took me back.
Now for family, my brother got a piece of chicken stuck in his throat and it wasn't realized until about an hour after he ate. He is fine. My gradmother's knee replacement went great, but she still feels, in her words "rotten". She is having physical therapy done for the next 6 weeks. Then she will be allowed home. As for my uncle, the news is grim. He was initially taken to the hospital for pneumonia. Found out that he had an infection in his blood, but after some tests found that he is in the early stages of dementia. Currently his brain function is about 30%. This is very hard on my aunt, who happens to be a nurse at the hospital he is in.
Other than that I am happy to be back. I needed something to get my mind working again. IT is still tough not teaching all the wonderful aspects of computers, but other opportunities are awaiting. I just have to find them.
I recently went through the entire list of thread for Trysvale. Boy there are quite a few. I stumbled across a very old link map quartering off the entire city. So many locations that were thought of but never dealt with. I will be taking a much closer look to see if these locations will be added.
Currently I am modding a few threads trying to spend some time reawakening the city. The Fishing Tourney thread should be up by the weekend.
Life Related
So this week finds me in good spirits. My personal kids are doing wonderful. It has been a blessing watch them grow. I only wish the growing part would slow. Spent last night help my younger son with a project that I forgot about. Couldn't let him get in trouble for me mistake. My older son has really enjoyed learning how to do stop-motion animation. Of course I had to remember how to do it. Should have movie #2 completed soon. We are adding sound effects and voice overs to it. Talk about time consuming. My daughter is well being my daughter. She has got me wrapped around her tiny little finger. It is often difficult being a husband, father, and friend. But the rewards are beautiful.
It is great to see a few new people in the city. I am doing my best to accommodate everyone. As I keep saying bear with me. I recently spent the majority of the day looking over older threads and came across many locations that exist (possibly).

Personal related
Today finds my mind and body tired. I knew I shouldn't have put my daughter to bed last night. Why? I feel asleep at 7:30pm. The 45 min cat nap I got caused me not to finally fall asleep until about 12:30am. Then about 5:00am the alarm to my pool went off. Not sure what set it off, but it was a wake-up call that I didn't want. Hopefully I get my second wind. My wife plans to get my rear back in shape. I took some time off to heal (ok 4.5 years) from a car accident (I know lame excuse). But now that my back and neck are feeling better, thanks to a good chiropractor, I feel better than I have in a while. Which means back to the gym.
Wow, last week was a killer for me. Although I tries to get some new locations posted, with incoming new faces I decided to for go locations and get some rping done with the new townsfolk.
Game Related
I will post the Fishing Tourney this week. It will give us a good month and a half to rp. There only seems to be a couple takers but I know once the actual thread is posted the influx will be dramatic. If you haven't figured it out yet, I am flying solo in Trysvale. I implore you all to work within yourselves for threads. I would like to take this week to open up a few more locations, namely some sort of gathering place, general store, and what not.
Life
I spent the better part of the weekend camping with my family. It is always a wonderful thing to get away from the everyday mundane ways of life and commune with nature. I have to admit it was pretty dare cold. Friday the wind was horrible and it began to sprinkle. Couldn't really get warm by fire as it was blowing the opposite direction. Saturday brought a bit warmer sunny weather. The only problem was my kids got to learn some new words from a group of loud misfits. After about three cases of beer, two members of the group just thought the local campers needed an education of key terms to help enhance everyones vocabulary. My wife finally was able to shoo them away. I felt so sorry for the kids that was with them.
Other than that it was a great time. This week finds me getting ready for basketball. Yes I coach, both my boys. It will be a great thing to get back on the court and teach them about teamwork. I am competitive, but I don't let it go to my head, like some other coaches have. Teaching the fundamentals and working together. Building bonds and trust. Will we win the championship, I do not know. However we will have fun.
First I want to say that I am sorry for my absence last week in game. As most of you know, we had a little scare with my wife. Just that one day seemed to put a damper on my ability to think straight. She will be going in for more tests on 10/28. So for now we are focusing on us and the family and the normal routine.

I am getting back into the swing of things and will be posting shortly. I will also start getting the locations to show up around town. I am currently seeking aid in the form of an AGM. Mainly to help get the town in shape.

What I said plus.... Basketball season is upon the Snake Eye household. I coach both my sons and look forward to another great season of them learning the fundamentals and having fun. As games happen I will keep you all updated with the scores.
