Well, that’s the way I’d like to see it. The news is already out, ic, and this event should coincide with our Town Festival (which has been in the ic and ooc planning for an rl year now, Aslan be praised!) around Libertas Brightening.
Question is: is it doable? I’d really like to see this particular event come to fruition. It’s got all the necessary stuff to make it a dream wedding of a lifetime. Of course all the necessary pre-wedding posts will be completed, as will the preparation of the logistical stuff (partly my responsibility). I hope the weather will hold, and I also hope things fall into place. I’ll need help, because while I’ve been to many of them irl, I don’t have a clue as to what really happens here (as in sequence of events). Yes, ladies, that means I’m still single. This event, I know, is going to be fun to rp with.
*crosses fingers*
What I can see at the moment are the pre-wedding thread, where Palacrisis gets dressed and gets cold sweats (probably in my office/conf room in the Trade Co bldg) while Silver and her retinue do the same amidst all the girlish chatter at No 1 Prosperity Square. We’ve only got one suitable carriage (belonging to the Thane), so I suppose Pala goes first, with myself in the second trip to make sure the bride doesn’t get lost, as well as to give Silver away at the ceremony Basically that’s one thread but takes care of descriptive events in three locations: the Trade Co building, the Thanal Apartments at No 1 Prosperity Square, and the Church of Carmelya, as well as the guests in it. I suppose an arrivals thread for an easy look of which guests are already there could be utilized as well. Wedding ceremony proper in a different thread, along with all the reactions. Then the reception with a main thread and several ancillary threads, depending on who’s talking to whom. Of course, at that time come the usual stuff, like the menfolk removing a femme’s garter and the tossing of the bouquet, dancing around the maypole as well as all the other pairing rituals, of course, all of these modified to suit the Aelyrian manner of social events of this nature.
Now, accomodations. Maybe I can billet Elle and the girls along at the Thanal Apartments, while Pala and the rest of the men stay at the Trade Co building. Moranor can stay at his farm. Maybe the Archprelatess can throw out the local canons of the Church of Carmelya to make room for her entourage. :P Surely some householders would put up an honored guest or two. The High Tides Inn is going to be filled to the rafters. Maybe we could have tents pitched at Pala’s farm, the same one that used to belong to a Lescartes?
So, fellas, if Diana (both the deity and the officials of that city ) cooperate with us, what would you like to see? Certainly we’ll need the church to be consecrated first. I don’t think they’ve done that. Nevertheless the consecration could take place during the festival, if Aerienne’s around (and willing).
Can we make this happen?

Uhm. Dude... wtf? Congrats on the wedding and all, but shouldn't someone let Elle know she's supposed to be at this wedding first?

Eh, its okay. I'm used to my cousin Andrea.
I'd be delighted to assist, but somehow, someone is going to have to get word to Elle about the fact that she's supposed to be hosting this thing, and even then she'll tell you that she's resigned her position with the Church. That means she's definitely not part of the Concilium anymore, and I seriously doubt that she is the Imperial Legate anymore either. Of course that decision is up to Aerienne after all.. who is probably going to be pretty upset with me when I reveal my newest plot disaster.
I'm delighted to help with OOC planning too!

Technically, Elle, Imperial Legates have three era terms to run..I understand that Elle was appointed only last era, so that's two more eras to go...unless you done something bad like quit in midstream or punch Aerienne in the face.
Somehow I feel that both Elle and Moranor as Imperial Legates would have some sort of nice congruence in it...with both of you standing as some part of the ceremony, like principal sponsors or something like that. That's okay if you're not anymore though...having Elle there is prestige enough
I just hope you and Aerienne don't go make a catfight in the reception, though.

Aerienne woudn't get into a catfight. She doesn't know the meaning of the word.
But if she can take time away from the Jaedaxia situation, the ongoing antics of Audrey and Julos, and the latest disaster that Elle's devious player is whipping up :P, then I could see her coming down for the wedding.

Not at all! Elle and Aerienne are really good friends. That hasn't changed, though they might not be as close as they were when Elle still lived in Diana.
No catfights scheduled, and at least one of those items are scratched off of Aerienne's agenda.

Hooray! I've started drafting some posts, and will and them here for your evisceration. Aerienne's sure to get a prelate (Thane Calaniri) to assist in the ceremony (unless Palacrisis manages to lead him astray), and so there.
If you've any ideas, please, here, here!

Can Aeri bring her daughter along? Fiabeth comes from Tirisfal and might like the trip to her birthplace. Plus she's three and its' her first wedding. She'd make a cute flowergirl, once you explain the concept to her.

Then again, we could always get hallucinating frogs...at least that's what happened during the last Tirisfal Festival I knew about... There's nothing wrong with a wedding gone wrong.
