The ramblings remains of a once great manor house comes into sudden view as one rounds a sharp turn in the path, bustling now here and there with the work of local Jaedaxians; men and woman moving to and fro, repairing and putting to right the once great manor; the stables, the lawns, even several small cottages only now being built.

	Main Building The path from the main road leads directly to the rather impressive structure that had once been the home of a rather well-to-do family, long since having fled the region. In recent months, however, said house has seen perhaps the most work out of them all; an impressive front hall opens up just past the door, a long low table greeting those who enter. Behind said table sits a young woman, long dark hair pulled up neatly into a coiled bun behind her head. "Serale, how can I help you?" The young woman, elven in heritage, wears a small smile upon her face, pushing a single piece of parchment forward for perusal.   Herbal Remedies Research Facility Basic Level Classes ~ 100 Crowns Apprentice Classes ~ 200 Crowns Herbal Remedies is currently seeking skilled Herbalists to teach both both basic and apprentice level classes. 	The Stables Once, these stables had held a number of horses, and indeed, the room still remained for both their purchase and their keeping. For the moment, however, the stalls remained empty, though clean. One boy remained within the confines of the stables, perhaps in his tenth or eleventh ordination. With dirty blonde hair and darkly tanned skin, a small loft could be seen once one entered fully into the stables, the boy's few posessions strewn about in a haphazard manner. As for the boy himself, however, he seemed clean and well fed - a rarity among such servants. A smile graced his lips, however, testimony to the level of care being given even if his state of cleanliness was not. Any who happened into his small world would be on the receiving end one such smile, though a bit of confusion shadowed said smile. "Can I help you?"

	The East Wing Upon entering the main building of Herbal Remedies Research Facility, one was greeted with a decision - though a young woman waited behind a large table to help those in need of information, directions, and any other help she might be able to provide, those who knew their destination were rarely questioned should they choose to continue forward. To the east lay a long hall, framed every ten paces or so with one painting or another, generally depicting one herb or another in it's natural setting. Several doors were paced along the right-hand wall, each leading into an open room filled with work benches and low tables, kept meticulously clean.

	The West Wing To the west of the main entrance awaited a set of large double doors, opening easily under well-oiled hinges. Stepping inside, one was greeted with a large warehouse, walls torn down to turn the area into an open, airy space. The smell of herbs and plants permeates the air, as they hang from the ceiling and are laid about on tables. Long ladders line the wals, giving access to the herbs hung a bit too high for the average human to reach. Several plants are also situated throughout the room, near the few windows that grace the area. The room itself is filled with the sounds of people working - even well into the night one or two can be found, working with those herbs that grow only in the darker hours of the night.

It was only his second brightening in Jaedaxia, but Iulian awoke from his slumber with a pleased smile. He had accomplished rather a lot yesterday: he had found a job making perfume under the employment of one Ashandra Gha'Nalis at her Herbal Remedies Research Facility just outside the city. Iulian's job included an apartment on the second floor of the manor, where he was presently; as well as a small laboratory on the first floor where he had ample room to work. It was an extremely beneficial arrangement for all involved; Iuli could work on his perfumes and even sell his completed products under his name, and Ashandra was able to say that she had a trained perfumer working with her carefully chosen herbs.

First of all, however, Iulian had to learn about these herbs, both local and otherwise. He'd only ever worked with a small array of flowers and flora, and although he was good at what he did, Iulian always wanted to get better. After dressing--though sans his coat, since the manor was temperate--and a quick rosyun, Iulian made his way downstairs to the manor's main desk.

"Serale and good morning," he greeted the young woman at the table. "I have just begun to work for Miss Ashandra as a perfumer, but I would like to take a class in Basic Herbalism." It made sense, if you thought about it; although Iuli already knew the basics of perfumery, there wasn't much you could do without knowing about herbs and flowers. Besides, he felt rather like a fraud working in a place called the Herbal Remedies Research Facility without knowing anything about herbalism.

"Ah, Mr. Ionescu, is it? Yes, Ms. Ashandra said you might be coming by." The young woman at the desk smiled slightly as she set her book to the side, drawing out instead a single piece of parchment.

"Ms. Ashandra will be overseeing your training herself; she's taken a special interest in you, she has." The woman smiled, passing the piece of parchment across the table as she finished speaking.

The parchment itself was a simple map of the premises, similar to those any student or worker of the facility could recieve upon request. The only difference, however, was that one building had been clearly marked, setting it apart from the rest.

"Will you require assistance to find her? I can call for one of the workers to guide you ..." She was, of course, referring to the many laborers hired specifically to restore the manor to it's former glory; bits and pieces of the once great manor house were still in dire need of repair, and day after day laborers could be seen hard at work, slowly giving it back the majesty it had once held.

The area marked upon the map was a small patch of land, seemingly no different from the area around it - not as far as maps such as these were concerned, at the very least. Just a small patch of land - and it would seem that 'Ms. Ashandra' was waiting for him there . . .

Iulian took the parchment from the young woman with a smile. "Thank you, miss. I think I'll try to find it myself." The map was a little vague, he had to admit, but Iulian was always ready for some exploring.

Waving at the girl, he took the map and strode out the front doors, turning up the high collar of his coat against the winter wind. His fur-lined cloak hood protected his head and ears from the chill, which wasn't so bad comapred to the frigid darkenings spent on his home island. Compared to that, this was just refreshing.

Iuli peered at the map for a moment, orienting himself upon it, then began to walk in the direction of the building that had been marked for him.
