Cougar

Probably the single most common wild feline species found in Aelyria, the cougar or puma as it’s sometimes called, is a master at adaptable living. They can be found in the deep wilderness, or in the heart of most rural areas. Cougars adapt to the changing conditions around them, so it’s not uncommon for one to see them hunting in the darkness of night, or in the broad expanse of day. And being highly intelligent, cougars or pumas can often be seen taking livestock, domestic animals, or even pets from humanities boundaries. They have been known to attack horsemen, and snatch children from their humanoid mother’s sides in broad daylight. Solitary, these large felines range throughout Aelyria and breed once every other era.
