The tales of ghost ships are as varied as the sailors that tell them. Crewless ships that ply the oceans, spectral ships and spectral crews that are the remnant essence of ships lost long ago in storms, abandoned vessels crewed by zombies. Every port seems to have its own breed of ghost ship stories. The majority of them can be attributed to poor light and bad weather conditions hampering the identification of unknown ships. Poor visibility and an active imagination can quickly turn an ill kept sloop into a phantasmal galleon.
For the most part, tales of ghost ships remain just that. Tales. Well, mostly.
