Jhom is an upstanding Citizen
Character Development for Jhom

When I read the information on giants, I came up with the concept of a character who is a young male giant who has recently passed the rite of passage that giants go through (any tips on what this rite involves?). He is very proud of his recent achievement and the fact that as a giant he is larger and stronger than other races serves to further inflate his ego. He is prideful and full of youthful impatience, something of a teenage hot head; eager to prove himself as an adult but doesn’t yet have the patience and cunning of one.
Physically he would be as tall as an adult giant but because he is young he won’t have filled out yet, just like human teenagers. So his still developing muscles won’t have the strength of an adult giant, but Jhom is certain that he is every bit as powerful as his elders and is eager to prove it.

Ramedi and I discussed the idea of Jhom’s pride manifesting as a sort of racial-supremism; he is overly proud of his giant heritage and wants to see the return of a giant kingdom. In accordance with this he would be vigorously true to all typical beliefs and behaviours of giants; hatred of Diana, faithful to Aslan etc.

Jhom is an upstanding Citizen
I've been thinking a little bit about where I want to take Jhom. So far in my threads I've established that he is ambitious and enthusiastic but lacks discipline and is often reckless.

I have been picking fights in practically every thread, not because Jhom is a bad guy but because he is constantly looking for oppourtunities to prove himself.

So far so good, I'm happy with that. But what do I do next? Does Jhom learn from his experiences and become wiser, not necesarilly less ambitious but more aware of danger. Or do his combat encounters simply serve to inflate his ego further and make him seek out bigger challanges?

If he becomes wiser how do I reflec this; does Jhom go out to learn some more skills, magic, shamanism, tactics, etc. Or does he attempt to interract more with others, realising that others can be of value to him as opposed to just providing sport?
If he becomes more reckless do I send him in search of ever greater challanges or perhaps have him seek out his own people and attempt to take authority over a clan?

These are the questions I'm asking at the moment. I don't want the character to become too convoluted, I think simplicity makes for good role playing.

I suggest just writing out his personality and following it until an In Character event possibly influences his decision. For instance: You picking fights until you loose...then you would slightly change your perspective and be more cautious when picking fights. Its 5 hours away from work-time so that's all I will say for now

I think that is a good suggestion, wait until some event changes the character for me.
