eternal winter let me make a place for the crimson tigers to meet when they arn't on duty and told me to post here for Grims approval
The Tigers Den
About half way down the street stands a rather plain building that one would pass right by it if they weren't actually looking for it. Above a door badly in need of paint hangs a sign with three blood red claw marks on a black background, the sign of the Crimson Tigers Mercenary Guild. Written along the bottom of the sign is “The Tiger's Den” in also in blood red paint. Dark red curtains keep anyone from seeing what lays on the other side of the windows.
The door swings open with a loud squeak from poorly oiled hinges announcing a new person entering the building. The inside of the building is the complete opposite from the run down outside. Along the entire right side of the room is a large, obviously well stocked bar with an old Crimson Tiger's battle flag hanging on the wall behind it. Set up against the left wall are two targets where men and women throwing knives and darts. Opposite the door, on the far wall is a door leading off into another room, a plaque above the door reads “Officers Club, Private” The rest of the room contains tables and chairs which are occupied by men and women as well as a small stage which is currently unoccupied.
Two serving women move among the tables taking orders and bring drinks from the bar. At the end of the bar stands a large man with a stout club stuck through his belt. From the way that he is watching the bar it is obvious that he is the bar's bouncer. Another similarly armed man stands to the right of the door into the officers club.
From behind the bar the bartender, a human of middling years with scars criss-crossing his arms and face, calls out “Come on in, don't just stand in the doorway there. I am Rufus the bartender, what can I get ya.”

Alright, let's see. I'm going to want a write-up on any NPCs in there added and I want a list of prices first of all. I'll give a more indepth commentary when I have more time
For the NPCs, use this format preferrably,
Name:
Gender, race, age:
Appearance:
Demeanour:
If you want to add more feel free to do so, you don't need to add the exact age, just indicate, like old, youth, adolescent, adult, or something like that. Think the pull down bar in your profile.

Okay, had some time to go through the write-up proper.
Avoid present tense, use past tense.
More.. spirit. Ummm... atmosphere sort of. What's it like to be in there? Is everyone chatting at once? Is there a minstrel playing music? Is it a muted place where people drink in silence and then leave? Try to explain what the place is like, is it busy and humming with activity or are there usually just a few Tigers there. Are Tigers the only ones allowed in? Are hookers allowed for instance? Not that I'm suggesting that you need to put some in. It just strikes me as the kind of thing that would be in a Soldier's place. 'course, the White Mice might not like that very much.
Why does the front look run down if the inside is the complete opposite?
Alright. That's all the hacking at it I'm going to do It's a good start, but it needs some work on the details.

here it is all edited
About half way down the street stood a rather plain building that one would pass right by unless they knew it was there. Above a door, badly in need of paint, hung a sign with three blood red claw marks on a black background, the ensignia of the Crimson Tigers Mercenary Guild. Written along the bottom of the sign was “The Tiger's Den PRIVATE CLUB” in blood red paint. Dark red curtains kept anyone from seeing what lays on the other side of the windows.
The door swung open with a loud squeak from poorly oiled hinges, the noise announced to those already inside that a new person had entered the building. The inside of the building was the complete opposite from the poorly kept outside. It was obvious that the run down exterior was just a farce to keep out those who are not Crimson Tigers. The main room of the building easily rivaled many of the upper class establishments in the city. Along the entire right side of the room was a large obviously well stocked bar, an old Crimson Tiger's battle flag hung on the wall behind it. Also behind the bar was a plain door that lead into a small kitchen.
Set up against the left wall were two targets where men and women threw knives and darts. A small pile of silver and gold sat on a table next to them, possibly a bet on the outcome of the game. Opposite the door, on the far wall was a door which lead off into another room, a plaque above the door had written on it “Officers Area” The rest of the room contained tables and chairs which were occupied by men and women who talked and laughed, as well as a small stage for performances. A musician sat on the edge of the stage and tuned his lute, he appeared to be about ready to start playing.
Two serving women moved among the tables and took orders and brought drinks from the bar and food from the kitchen. At the end of the bar there was a large man with a stout oak club stuck through his belt. From the way that he watched the bar it was obvious that he was one of the bar's bouncers. Another similarly armed man stood to the right of the door that lead to the officers club.
From behind the bar the bartender, a muscular human in his late forties with scars criss-crossing his arms and face called out “Come on in, don't just stand in the doorway there you're letting the flies in. I'm Rufus, the bartender, what can I get ya today, the first ale is free.” He put a full mug of ale up on the bar.
NPC's
Name: Bartender Rufus Delkar
Gender, race, age: Male, human, mid-forties
Appearance: About six feet tall and muscular with black hair containing streaks of gray, he has old battle scars criss-crossing his arms and on his face.
Demeanor: Rufus used to be a Crimson Tiger but retired about seven years ago because of a leg injury. He is a good natured man for the most part and is free with a story from the old days and quick to laugh. He can take an insult and come back with an even better one but he won't tolerate anyone talking bad about the Tigers in his bar and doing so will get you thrown out.
Name: Bouncer Douglas Green (guarding officers club entrance)
Gender, race, age: Male, human, early mid twenties.
Appearance: Douglas is five foot seven inches tall with dark blond hair cut close to his head. Although he is not muscular he is very fast and give off a feeling of a snake about to strike. The scars on his knuckles are a testament to the number of fights he has stopped.
Demeanor: Douglas takes his job very seriously and while he has no ties to the Crimson Tiger's he is very loyal to his job and won't allow any fighting to happen in the bar. He rarely speaks while working and if he does it is only to check that those going into the officers area are indeed officers.
Name: Bouncer Alexander Raderick (standing at the bar)
Gender, race, age: Male, human, late thirties
Appearance: Six feet tall and muscular with black shoulder length hair tied back with a leather tie, Alexander's body carries the scars of many hard years serving the Crimson Tigers.
Demeanor: Alexander is generally nice and is willing to talk with people in the bar. His eyes are always moving, constantly searching the bar for any signs of trouble. He served in the Crimson Tigers with Rufus and retired to help out with the bar.
Name: Waitress Katina Alyhan
Gender, race, age: Female, half-elf, eighteen
Appearance: Five foot three inches tall with green eyes and reddish blond hair hanging about a foot past her hair. She is very pretty and thin.
Demeanor: Katina always has a smile on her face and is quick to laugh at a joke. She moved to Nexus Prime from the farms around the city and working at the Den is her first job since she has arrived. Since she is new to the city and the bar the two bouncers keep a careful eye on her and make sure that no one is bothering her.
Name: Waitress Jenelle Paulina
Gender, race, age: Female, human, late twenties
Appearance: Five foot eight inches tall with blond hair tied back in a pony tail. She is lean and muscular and walks like a person accustomed to wearing a sword.
Demeanor: Jenelle is a member if the Crimson Tigers and works at the Den while she is not on duty to make some extra money. She has a no nonsense personality but is nice enough to the customers. Being a skilled fighter she has been known to help out the bouncers break up the occasional fight.

Better. You still have some present tenses in there though. Weed them out and we're good to go I think

Hills
Requisites: A Hills board and pieces.
Hills is a complex game favoured by those with time and patience. It is often played by old men and knowing how to play it is almost a prerequisite of the cultured person of Nexus Prime. It is a favourite of nobles and social climbers, though old men with lots of patience are also known to play it.
The game itself is played on board with 10x10 black and white squares. While the game only admits two players at a time there are three sides to choose from. The Chesleyans are quick and make leaps around the board which make them excellent offensive pieces, but they are very hard to use defensively, the Irregulars are the best all-round pieces, but they are also the fewest in number, the Hesparians are the defensive pieces, their movements on the board are slow and they are vulnerable when attacking but for a defensive player their excellence cannot be matched.
All sides have different types of pieces in them, with the Irregulars having the greatest degree of variety with a total of six different types spread over 12 pieces, the Chesleyans have four different types, of which the Cossack is the most usual one, spread over 16 pieces, the Hesparians have 3 different pieces spread over a total of 18 pieces.
The Hesparians are divided into 14 Soldiers, 2 Captains and 2 Chieftains. The Soldiers are capable of advancing one square forwards, to the left or to the right at each move, they may not retreat however. Soldiers take other pieces by advancing onto them, however, they must be in the presence of another Soldier to do so. In other words, in order for the Soldiers to take a piece, it must already be threatened by another Soldier. Captains and Chieftains cannot take pieces at all and are eminently vulnerable, though they move 2 squares in any direction at a time, not diagonally though. Captains enable any Soldier in a one square radius to be rendered invulnerable to attack, though the Soldiers may not attack while in this radius. The Chieftains have a similar job, replacing the need for an extra Soldier while it is in a one square radius of the Chieftain.
The Chesleyans are represented by the 6 Cossacks, 4 Paladins, 1 Archprelate and 1 Priest. The Cossacks move 2 squares diagonally in any direction, taking pieces where they land and are capable of jumping over other pieces to get there. The Paladins move in an L shape going three squares forward or backwards, and one to the left or right. The Priest is an interesting piece as it is incapable of actually taking out another piece, it allows one to control an enemy piece for the duration of one move however, this piece must be within a one square radius of the Priest and it does not hinder control of pieces from the opposing player. The Archprelate moves as far as it can in any direction, though it may not move diagonally.
The Irregulars are the most diverse set of pieces, with a total of 6 different types spread over a total of 12 pieces. 4 of these are the Irregulars, which move two steps forward every turn, skipping over any pieces in their path. The Scouts are two pieces that move rapidly across the board, but are only capable of taking out any pieces that are not directly next to any other, they can move four spaces in any direction, though shorter than this is also an option, skipping over any other pieces in between. The Cavalry are two pieces that can move as far as they like diagonally or vertically, and take out several pieces in a row, though taking out any other piece will also remove the piece from the board. The Castles are two defensive pieces, unable to move more than one square in any direction, they cannot be attacked and will protect any piece either directly to the left or the right of the piece, or directly behind it, if no friendly pieces are within one square of it, the enemy pieces can also it in this manner however. The Aelyrian is the best piece, though, his fall means the end of the game, he can move in any directions for six squares and take pieces. The Duke, is the last piece and it can only move one square at a time, in any direction but backwards, it cannot attack, but any friendly piece landing in front of it is given a second move.
Finally there is one piece which is sometimes put into play, this is the Crown Of Arium, the person who moves last decides where it will start out, any of the four centre squares will do. Each player takes a turn moving the Crown after they have moved their own piece and the Crown then moves similarly to the way the last piece moved. Managing to get the Crown back to one of the corners on the players side of the board will earn him the game, or in some cases, just a promotion of one of his pieces to any other. Depending on the rules chosen before the game has started. The first is referred to as Chase the Crown, the latter as Strengthening the Ties and without a Crown is referred to as a Naked Game.
Often, games with Chesleyans vs Irregulars are referred to as Chesley's Folly, games with Hesparians vs Chesleyans are referred to as Colonization, and games with Irregulars vs Hesparians are referred to as Guessing Games.
----
Okay, so I was a little bored while the game was down and I puttered around with this
Comments or anything?

Okay...
Sounds like a big mix between Dread Pirate, Risk, and Chess.
It also seems fairly complicated from the technicality standpoint of how you wrote it, but as I re-read it I find it much more easier to grasp. Maybe a simplified version! *knows he is picky*

It's meant to be fairly hard to master/complicated.
Though, I could probably restructure the write-up a little to make it more easy to read through.

'Dumbify it', as Labyrinth calls it?
So, basically, it's similar to Chess. How are we going to implement it across the Empire? I mean...entire threads could be used up for just one game, let alone try to include it within a thread for RP purposes.

Who said anything about spreading it across the Empire?
I made this specifically for Nexus/Arium
