Tidewater Glass & Crystal Workroom

The Tidewater Back Workroom
Open to Workers and Those Invited

Accessed through Tidewater Glass & Crystal

Beyond the front counter was the back workroom, the door situated in the back right corner. Only those who worked within the building or who were invited up to the apartment upstairs were permitted through this door, which the redhead manned as if he were both clerk and guard. The room here was the source of a comfortable heat in the winter months, the warmth flooding out into the front store room to allow for stiffened fingers and noses to regain their feeling again as people went about their business. The warmth, however, was something akin to an intense heat once the door was pushed open to enter the workroom.

The furnaces lined the back wall, thick, clunky pieces of metal that heated the raw material into molten glass to be shaped to the will of the glassblower. The furnaces were the predominant feature in the room, the hulk that no eye could miss, but close to the furnace were the bench, marver, and a moderately sized table, all of which Iseult utilized in her work. Along the far wall to the left was a low-set metal structure that slunk along the wall with doored compartments, the garage for pieces keeping warm as she worked on other pieces to merge them with. A cabinet had been nestled against the front wall and a rack set against the wall next to the garage, both of these containing Iseult's various tools for not only her glassblowing, but her etching and silversmithing as well. The back right corner allowed access to a set of stairs that led forward towards the front of the building and upwards into a set of rooms wherein Iseult lived.

The room was comfortable and snug, a heated melting pot during the summer and comfortable enough during the winter. Always a bucket of water was kept nearby, a cloth draped through the handle for the half-thelyri to drape against the half-formed gills at her throat, always the first thing to go dry in the heat. While the room was not expansive by any means, it allowed for freedom of movement and had precisely what she needed for a sole glassblower to get by on her own work. At least for the time being.

OOC NoteI'm just tidying up my main location thread, moving irrelevant store information off to other threads. Only workers and other invited PCs are allowed to post here.
