25th of Melora, Winter of Era XV PF.

Godah walked through the streets of Arakmat, leading his way among the people of Arakmat. Although he was well known to be the personal advisor of the Sultan, the people of Arakmat did not make too much ceremonial when encountering him and he, too, didn't use any escort or other comodities that would be common for his position. In his city, the dorin didn't feel the need to show his rank and he didn't fear for his security either.

Se he made his way toward the Palace of the Sultan, giving nods to those who greeted him and occasionaly halting to greet a dorin brother. The personal advisor was not going to his office on that brightening, but rather to meet Rafiq Al Hakkar for he had propositions to present to him. The grey fured dorin had been thinking and working on ideas that would help the city and the province in whole.

With him Godah did bring scrolls, maps and notes and he presented at the Palace. He entered as he did every brightening, greeting the guards on the way and heading through the labyrinth of the building. But instead of heading to the small room he used as his office, he finally stood in front of the secretary of the Sultan.

"I am here to see His Majesty about city affairs. Is he available?"

Godah would wait an answer, although he didn't hear of any sheduled meeting and hoped the Sultan would be ready for a work session.

The guards adorned in black accented only with red sashes about their wastes and tied into their black turbans gave the Vizer a bow upon his request. It was not often that the black hand whose dark colored uniforms and embroidered golden sun, a form half risen and stitched onto their uniforms right arms were seen. The significance of the pair standing outside of the door indicated the sultan was deep in study and they were charged with his peace.

Most would have been asked their business and turned away, but Godah, along with a select few others who made up the consul of the sultan always had the man’s ear, and his personal guard was instructed to let such persons pass without hesitation. Thus, as bows concluded the heavy wooden doors to the sultans study were pushed inward, to reveal the man pouring over tomes of knowledge, a wealth of books all around him in various states of disarry, colored stones marking each for what knowledge they held.

Raising his chocolate eyes to look over the on comer, Rafiq smiled softly his thin pink lips pressed firmly together in a slight curl. The leader of the Nairu, and of Arakmat rose, extending his hand, and motioning Godah to please take a seat across from him. The servant of the room already pouring up tea for his visitor, it was soon delivered with whatever amenities the dorin wished to use. Resuming his seat, the sultan relaxed a bit, placing a few extra stones on his work as his hand absently scribbled notes about them with a nearby quill. “What do I owe this visit my dear advisor, is something ill within our lands?”

Godah was pleased to be let in without further delay, what with all the paper and scrolls he had under his grip and that he was barely managing to keep from falling. He thanked the black garbed guard, feeling secure that the Sultan was closely protected by the finest blades of the Sultanate.

When, he discovered the frame of the Sultan, bent over a tome he was reading, Godah could not suppress the thought that his brightenings in the goal of Prime were not vain and that the reward was worth the sacrifice. The Sultanate deserved a ruler who gave wisdom its deserved importance and also spoke to the hearts of warriors. The dorin could not ask more and he would keep the scars of a cold cell for himself.

"Feslan, Majesty. Aslan blesses your brightening"

Godah bowed slightly before moving closer and putting the papers on a nearby table. He would feel a little relieved that said papers didn't fall, spreading and embarrassing him.

"I come with thoughts that I have gathered an put on scroll. If Your Majesty is willing, I will expose some of these to your approval."

The advisor took the scrolls, arranging them, looking through them.

"They are related to government, security, economy and education"

He summed approximatively the subjects he would consider in the interview.

As Godah went about setting up his scrolls and leaflets the servant who had poured him tea was quick to offer assistance, catching anything loose before it had a chance to escape and neatly placing everything in the orders the Vizer gave. Sipping on his own cup, listening intently to the dorin’s words the sultan showed little change in his expression through the explanation. As Godah proposed his endeavors though, the man’s eyebrow raised slightly as his hands began to stack the piles of paper and books around him to clear space on the massive desk. “It is good to see you have taken this upon yourself Godah, I myself have been researching the city codes, both present and past. I find many of our laws as outdated relics of times much simpler then we live in now. I was interested to see your name attached to some of these laws as well.” The man smiled softly his thin pink lips breaking the tanned smooth flesh of his face showing his well kept teeth beneath.

“I would be happy to look over your ideas though my friend, perhaps this will help me with my own studies, and lead to great things for our lands.”
