A Visit to Aelyria Prime (Fidelis)
Month of Optia, Season of Summer, Era II, Era XIV Post Fractum
Areka D'Rinishad walked the streets of Prime taking in all the sites. She was quite surprised at everything she saw. Vortex was great but Prime was very different. Aside from Vortex and its underground city she had not been to any other city or wilderness. As she walked she thought about her first encounter in the surface city of Vortex. She was unlucky in the fact that she had run into three drunken huge males who were very pleased to have gotten there grimy hands on young Vysstichi girl. But, on the other hand she was lucky to have been saved by Faust and Kalenel D'Rinishad. The fight that came from it was an interesting one to say the least but sadly she did not get to see the ending.
From then one she was a D'Rinishad. She was taken to the D'Rinishad Academy in Vortex and there she was watched over and allowed to do her own thing. As far as she could tell she was the youngest and one of the only female D'Rinishads. She felt a little out of place but Kalenel had made it very clear to her that he too felt a little out of place. She was happy to finally be apart of a 'family' though her facial expression did not make it seem that way. In fact, she did not show much facial expression at all these days. Her past had sucked so much life out of her she usually just stared with a cold stone look which many wonder either she was ok or if she had some hidden evil within her soul.
Her body was covered by the cloak she wore which bore the D'Rinishad symbol. As her eyes did were not to found of light she kept the hood over her head to shield her eyes from the sun. If anyone where to look at her right hand they would see the house ring of House Vhileraen. As she continued to stroll up and down the streets of Prime she soon felt like just watching. She wished to observe the way of others. She wanted to learn and analysis the way people did things and why they did it. It was almost like she was dissecting them with her mind. So...she found a bench just outside the Tavern and sat and watched and watched and watched.

Business... That was the name of the game. Everybody was constantly going about their business, even if it wasn't business at all. Throngs of people traversed the Empire's capital city. All of them worked towards one goal or another: Happiness, pleasure, supporting a family, taking care of those you love, or even plain old getting by. But as the hussle and bussle life continued on as normal... one life was significantly different than others. It was a much darker, much more dedicated life. It was forged at the tip of a sword, and honed in death and despair.
This life moved through the streets as it returned from a very different business. This life was Fidelis Meridius, Dark Knight of Jorel and the Bane of Honor. Step after step, leather boots carried him back towards The Crown. Once there he had every intention of a drink or four until he retired to his suite for the rest of the Brightening.
Under tresses of platinum hair, emerald eyes bounced from one side of the street as he was constantly on the watch for potential enemies. With such a price on his head, he was never allowed to let his guard down. To do so would bring about his demise. As he moved quickly towards his destination, his eyes caught something curious... The symbol of the House D'Rinishad... on a young girl? Fidelis knew the family to be fairly tightly knit, and lacking in hordes of members. "A D'rinishad girl... alone in prime?"
The Jorelite approached. Looking down to the Vysstichi observer, he spoke. His bold tone, and malicious countenance would likely firghten her. Therfore he was blunt and to the point. "My name is Fidelis Meridius... I am a friend of all D'Rinishads. Tell me... you are not alone are you? Is Faust or Serion about?"

The figure which stood before Areka actually spoke to her. Areka's mood did not change one bit. The voice was loud but it did not phase her. Areka, at first, seemed to act as if she had not even heard the voice and after a long pause she looked up at the man who was now standing by her.
"Faust does not know I am here and all I know of Serion is that he disappeared eras ago. I came to watch the people run around doing their day to day deeds, most without a care in the world. It is quite amusing to see these simple people live a carefree life; I am willing to bet that a great deal of them have never suffered more than a weeks real pain in their sad and pathetic lives of happiness and despair. I am pleased that you know of Faust for I know little about him but feel him to be my older brother all at once. So what brings you here, now, and why speak to me?" The young vysstichi girl spoke everyone word in almost the same tone. She did not smile, she did not frown, she made no facial expression. She just sat there, as if she were a sack of coal and answered the question Fidelis inquired and then gave a bit of information he could take anyway he very well pleased.
"I am Areka D'Rinishad."

It was a curious thing that the girl exhibited no fear towards the Jorelite, but she was a vysstichi and that alone meant that she was much more resilient than the masses. And being a D'Rinishad was unique in its self. He had met many of them, and not one had failed to impress. Would the girl be the same way?
"I have seen both of your kin as of late... but never you. Tell me, Areka, how do you fit into the D'Rinishad family?" Fideli gave the dark elf a moment to respond before addressing her again.
Shifting his weight to his back leg, the warrior crossed his arms as he answered Areka's queries. "Well Aelyria Prime is a central place of business for me. I stay in the Crown often to save having to travel to the city every brightening... And as I said before... I am a friend of the House D'rinishad. It is not safe for a Vysstichi girl to be alone on the surface world... Where are you staying?"

Areka lowed her head after the man had made himself more know and proceeded to answer his question.
"Faust took me in after some drunken men grabbed hold of me in Vortex earlier this summer. He did away with them and gave me a place to stay and I am now a D'Rinishad. And yes I know that the surface is not safe for me, the drunken men were my first encounter on the surface. But I wanted to travel before moving on to meeting someone in the season to come. And now you are standing in the way of me watching the people run about they drown out brightening to brightening deeds." She said as she glared up at him
"Tell me what is your business." Areka asked the question rather bluntly not trying to sound sweet or kind about it. She was looking for the truth and nothing more.

"I see..." Fidelis shifted his weight to his back foot as he spoke. What was he to do with this girl? She seemed a bit to candor to be alone. If she had not been a D'rinishad, she would have already found herself potentially at her demise, but such was not the case.
Regardless, Faust would probably not be happy with his companion had he left Areka there and she disappeared. "My business?" Fidelis didn't answer her, instead he simply opened his coat enough to display an Ardentium blade. "This is my business."
"I cannot linger in the streets, for there are many that wish me dead. So you have two choices... Stay. Or come with me."

As Areka eyed the weapon a less than friendly grin came to her face and a shining appeared in her eye. This was a person she could get to now. She loved death and killing.
Taking one last glance at the people in the streets she stood and followed Fidelis into the tavern. "I am curious to know...now that I have chosen to follow you, what do I get for it. I wouldn't want to think that you peeking my interest is a wrong thing to think." Areka asked as she counted the number of people in the front room of the tavern.
Eight, there were eight people beside themselves. All men, all going about their own business. "Eight." She whispered
