The morning of Orodisia
Second Cycle in Imperos
During the season of Summer
Aydyn had spent the past few nights in the local inn. It wasn't a relatively bad experience as Aydyn had grown accustomed to life above a tavern by living in Demios, but she was ready to live in something she could properly call her own. She needed to feel like she wasn't going to forget to pay the inn owner. She wanted to feel like she could make adjustments to the property without having to answer to its owner. Even if the job of Assistant Aedile didn't pay all that much, Aydyn was more than willing to make that sacrifice to have her own place. She didn't need anything fancy. Just one room and a little space for her horse.
The property Aydyn had chosen for her own had grabbed her almost instantly. The immediate yard was nothing of great importance or worth but had just enough space behind it that her horse would have enough room to graze and find shade beneath a cluster of trees. It wouldn't be enough for her to gallop freely, but it would do for now. One of the many rivulets running off from the natural fountain at the center of town just barely skirted the edge of the property, most of it being taken by the neighboring piece of land, but it was just close enough for the rust-red plainsbred mare to quench her thirst. There was enough room outside of the home that Aydyn was already plotting the growth of a small smattering of plants that would provide her with home-grown vegetables.
The house itself, crafted and shaped by the druids of the community, was quaint, distinguishable to someone such as Aydyn because of its curious origins. She was still growing accustomed to the restrictions placed upon the natives of the area, but the novelty of a house formed of trees and wood was one Aydyn rather enjoyed as a druid herself. To Aydyn, it was a thing of natural beauty and she was eager to move into the structure. The inside of the house was just as quaint and undistinguished. There was only one room that provided a spread not only for eating and leisure, but also sleeping. Aydyn did not plan to spend every waking moment in the house and so did not care that there was not too much space within the warped wood. Just as long as there was space enough for her two Medonian alicats, Aydyn was happy with the place. As a blossoming druid, Aydyn had more of an interest in keeping outdoors nourishing that garden she hoped to start or attending to her animals. This was, of course, when she wasn't assisting the Aedile in his hopes to cultivate some growth in the depopulated village.
