Letter to the City Government

Paradigm: Half a cycle after the meeting of the Thanes in Midpoint.

A messenger bearing all the heraldry of the official offices of Primus Gaudeo approached the city gate with slight trepidation. He was, after all, accustomed to the gentle luxury and overall richness of the city of Primus Gaudeo and the district of the Concordia Incola. White marble offices, deep velvet tapestries…few could be found here. But his duties to the office of the Governor had forced him to venture outside his sphere of influence and approach the gates of this particular city with charge in hand. With luck from the Gods above, he’d find himself directed to the office of a city official – and from there, his duty was complete, minus perhaps the journey back.

My most honored officials –

I do not know if your eyes have bled across the pages of the Herald in recent times, but I, as Governor of the Administrate of Centripax, have asked that the Concordian representatives from each city and town reenter the city of Primus Gaudeo and take up their offices within the Concordia Incola district. The times are grim, my lords and ladies, but we must not lose hope that life will return to some sense of normalcy once again. In this regard, it is my dearest hope that the Concordia Incola will reopen its doors and begin its responsibilities of government once more. In this interest, I would ask that all appointed Concordian representatives come to the city of Primus Gaudeo by the second cycle in Melora in the interest of our beloved province and its people.

The recent meeting of the Thanes in Midpoint was a beginning. It is my firm belief that we can accomplish more. The unity of Centripax is my paramount concern; only together can we ward off the dangers that seem to beset us from every side. I pray that my lords will see the wisdom in such a thought and see fit to begin once more ministrations toward the provincial government currently housed in Primus Gaudeo. For this reason I would urge my lords to consider sending a representative for the city itself to the Concordia Incola to request what assistance or share what concerns the city might have. I trust that this attempt to return our province to a time of previous prosperity will be blessed by the Lord Ioannes himself and, with a little faith, we will see a return to the elevation of the Sacred Three once more.

May the glory of Ioannes be your rearguard and guide us all to prosperity.

The city 'gate' of Acumin was far more interesting and bizarre than most, considering as it consisted of a gigantic pink-hued bubble over the entire town. The messenger sent from Primus was extracted quickly from the quicksand-like spell by rangers who brought him immediately to the Aediles office where Latherin regarded the letter with something less than eagerness. Once the letter was read, Lathering quickly grabbed a quill pen before the messenger could get too settled in and scribed a reply in the chicken scratch that counted as his handwriting. Sighing, he closed the letter and stamped it with the seal of his adopted office and handed it to the messenger. "Please return this to the Lady Andares."
