Attack on Dar Havark [Private - Borax, Throk & Ungar]
OOC: Assuming you guys slipped out of the tavern. Also, I probably won't be the mod for this thread.
IC: As the three more impetuous members of the forming mob decided not to wait any longer, they slipped out through the loud crowd and headed out the door. The people who'd designated themselves as healers (those too old, young, weak or heartsick to fight) paid no attention to them as they wandered out of the tavern, figuring that the three were going to help them collect victems or, if they were truely leaving, they had every right to even if that wasn't the smartest thing in the world. As evidenced by the events of the night, there were undead on the loose this darkening.
The night air was cold, despite hot breezes being swept from the huge bonfire that was consuming the forest to the north. The inferno filled the town with an eery red light, illuminating bodies and broken-down houses in a rather demonic light. Combining that with the light of the half-full moon, the three more impatient fighters could see relatively well in the darkness of the night. To the north was nothing but the fire, behind them was the tavern from which cries of pain and hot debate echoed out, and to the south was the place they were searching out. The tower was not terribly tall, but in this light the sillohette was clearly visible and stood out from the trees in which it was located. It was probably a mile or two south of town... it would take them a while to reach it for in the full darkness of the night they would have to watch their step as they travelled through the forest, light or no light.

"Alrighty chums, leds go to da tower den!", Throk told his new friends. He re-adjusted Branch on his shoulder and started heading south already. Throk was really excited about this trip. Tonight had released his anger, and he was still a bit in a fighting mood. He was very anxious about this Avanthar guy. From what he had heard about him, he had some magic tricks up his sleeve.
Throk liked magic. From what he had seen of it, it was a real nice firework. The whole sky lit up in orange and red flames. Perhaps he could ask Avanthar the same as well after they had captured him.
Then he became aware of the large flames that sprouted from above the forest canopy. Even that reminden him of magic. God, he liked fireworks!
"Uhm, are dey celebratin' dat we killed all of dem zombies or sumfink?", he asked Ungar and Borax.

As they walked into the cold night Ungar questioned his disission for a second. What were they doing? But his doubt was quickly pressed away by his sense of honour and justice. He was glad to see that not only Throk followed but also some other dwarf. He didn't know the guy yet but it was always good to see another dwarf.
Throk made some stupid remark about the fire. That guy was so stupid. Sometimes it anoyed Ungar but most of the time he just didn't care. He didn't really like the giant that much and when he had no more use of it he would leave the thing to its own stupid ways.
With his axe held firmly in both his hands Ungar started walking. It was really dark and he would have to watch his step. He could see the dark tower. It would be a long walk. But that wasn't going to stop Ungar. He was going to get there one way or another.

OOC: My name is Borax with an a before x, named after my father.
When he ran outside, the cold air felt like a wall of stone against the sweaty body of Borax Bloodaxe. He took a deep breath and looked around.
He saw lots of bodies that had not survived the attack. Looking at his right he saw his stinky poleaxe, that smelled worse every minute. Borax didn't liked it. He searched the bodies to find a pair of one-handed axes so he could fight with two axes instead of the stinky poleaxe.
"Hey, wait for me!", Borax shouted to the Giant and the other Dwarf ,"I am looking for two axes so I can throw this stinking poleaxe away and fight with a proper weapon".
The Dwarf hoped that the two unfamiliar adventurers waited for him so he could find his weapons, but if not he would run to keep up with them, although he hadn't slept for a very long time.

Throk turned about to hear who was screaming at this hour of the day. He looked around, and saw no one. Hmm, this seemed familiar. He cranked his head downwards to look for a dwarf and hence; there was one! Dwarfs were really odd creatures. So small in stature, and not very bright as well. Throk didn't really pitty them, but he did feel a bit sorry for them. It wasn't their fault after all, they never got to choose what race they would become at their birth.
"Well", he adressed the new Dwarf. "Ah guess dat we can wait just a sek for yoo. Ahm Throk."
He extended his arm to shake the Dwarf's hand. It was good that the Dwarf came along 'cos the mood back in the tavern wasn't very healthy to be in for too long, they were all getting themselves killed if they would keep talking like that. Throk thought that that whole gathering thing had gone out of control. They didn't need talking, they all needed to give that Avanthrok, Ungvanthar...man a good bashing!
"Yes, 's really good to 'ave yoo wiv us."

When Borax saw the immense arm that was heading in his direction, he was surprised to see that there was a Giant at the other end of it, who called himself Throk. Borax didn't know much about Giants, and in fact this was the first time he ever saw one, but he had heard little good about these creatures. They where supposed to bash around with huge clubs and eat a lot, but this one was not. He seemed to be polite, so Borax streched his arm to touch the Giants hand, and his one seemed like a child's hand when compared to the Giant.
"I am Borax Bloodaxe, named after my father", he said. "I am glad to see someone who also disliked all those discussions in the tavern, and I am glad to join you".

As Ungar turned around to see what was keeping his big companion he saw that the other dwarf was looking for something. Cursing behind his breath Ungar made his way back. Why was this all so dificult? As he came closer he heared the other dwarf introduce himself. He had never heard of Borax before. But there are alot of dwarfs in this world.
Greeting Borax, now please hurry up. We have some evil to smite. He forced a polite smile on his face. He wasn't in the mood to make conversation.

"Wait a second, I have to find myself a pair of axes, so I can throw this stinky poleaxe away. If you want to know why, please smell it, but I don't stand for the consequences".
Borax looked back at the bodies to find his weapons. "And wat is your name, fellow Dwarf?" he asked the other Dwarf.
Borax looked forward to travel with Throk and the Dwarf. He did not know where they where going, but he liked it already.

Ungar, my name is Ungar. And that axe smells like the giant. It was true, well to him anyways
Ungar desited it would be best to help out the dwarf. And he could use an extra axe as well in case his one broke or something.

Throk was surprised that the dwarf wanted to find a new weapon first, instead of fighting! That was ludicrous, he already had a weapon! And it didn't stink, it just smelled....different.
"Lissen up, ahm goin'to dat tower over dere. Yoo can come wiv me, or find anuvver weapon first, but ahm goin'! Yoo already 'ave a weapon pall, d'yoo really need anuvver one? Yoo small folk 'onoustly suprise me."
He shook his head. Weird fellas, these dwarfs. Perhaps they were scared and they just wanted to postpone the fight! Yeah, bunch of cowards they are! Ha, he'll go all alone then.
Mumbling several rude insults, he went on by himself. He had Branch and this new sword, so everything could be alright. It was time to clobber some Hokanthur....Vanthar....Man bottom! With mighty large steps, he strode towards Dar Havark.

Ungar really started to hate the giant. It was so stupid. If they were going to fight evil they needed weapons. This avanathar sounded like a tough opponent. And if they would lose the evil would be alowed to live. So if this dwarf needed a new weapon they would have to wait for him to get.
Throk Wait. you stupid son of a orc. That last sentence was no more than a wisper. There was no way that the giant could hear it. He didn't want to fight the brute. Not yet anyways. There will be enough fighting in a moment. But this guy needs a weapon. You picked up that sword didn't you? So you can fight better yes? So he needs an axe to fight better as well. As you would explain a 6 year old, but with a 6 year old you could be sure he understood what you were trying to say. This giant most likely didn't get it.

Throk turned around on his feet. That strange dwarf had a point. He was very glad with his new sword, and he could understand that the dwarf wanted to be as glad as he was with a new weapon. Perhaps he should wait a little longer, he could wander around with his bloodlust for a little longer....he hoped.
"Aright, ledz go find yoo some new weppons quickly den. Ah guess ah can wait fer yoo ladz 'ere while yoo go lookin' fer dem."
With that, he sat down comfortably on a pile of rubble and put his weapons on the ground. He put his sword down very carefully. He wouldn't risk to scratch it or anything. He also hoped that the dawrfs would hurry up, Breanch was very eager to smack bottom.

OOC: sorry for the delay
IC: Searching over the various cadavers, there seemed to be few dwarves if any. Most were either dark races, elves or men. Most did not have any weapons. Those that had been living and had died that night were civilians and townsfolk, having nothing more than a small knife of some sort. Most of the zombies that had been slain must not have been buried with weapons. A few basic clubs could be found on some of the orcs, as well as the same sort of pole axe. Most weapons were chipped or rusty and usually those were longswords, not suited for the dwarf. It seemed the dwarf would do better at a weapon's shop than searching the bodies. If action would be taken that night, it would have to be more than searching over the deceased. Maybe they would have better luck upon reaching the tower or even searching the remains of the houses, thought looters would have most likely taken anything of value not taken by the townsfolk. After searching for some time, all that could be found were thirteen gold crowns, two small knives, and a few assorted personal items not worth noting.

"Thanks for helping me search these bodies. It is a pity that we didn't found anything. Let's go on and go away from this mess."
Borax spoke with a low and slow voice. He was tired and when he thought it could not be any worse, there was no weapon to be found at the street. He'd better clean his poleaxe so he wouldn't get sick or something from the smell that this weapon produced.
To clean his weapon, Borax took a part of clothing from one of the bodies, and he started rubbing the pole and the blade from the weapon. As soon as most of the remains from the former owner where vanished from the poleaxe, Borax cleaned his hands with the bit of clothing that he found and threw it away.
"I hope one of you knows the way. I have never been anywhere near there." Borax looked at Throk and to Ungar. "Let's go".

Searching corpses for weapons what not what Ungar had in mind when he desited to go hunt for Darksoul. He was disapointed that they couldn't find anything. He felt sorry for Borax, atleast he had his axe, now this dwarf fellow had to fight with a smelly weapon what he had never used before.
Yeah we waisted enough time already. It's that way Ungar pointed south. This was the way to the tower. He had seen it before and knew were to go. So he started moving hoping the giant and dwarf would this time follow him
