Who would do such a thing? Why, what have these people done to deserve this? Anger was beginning to boil beneath the surface, threatening to pour forth, needing only something else to upset him. By all accounts, Telc was generally a calm person, or had been, but much had happened in a short time to change him almost completely. Before he had held a natural curiosity for many things, accepting of just about anything, and then he had been emotionally traumatized beyond recognition. He had become like a new person, a darker side revealed, one that he did not know existed. It held no sway over him at most times, not like the all-consuming guilt that plagued his very being, but was savagely awoken when he witnessed certain actions. Most times these were acts against someone he knew and cared about, or an innocent soul being taken advantage or hurt in someway, which explained why he was becoming more angry as he saw more of the wrongs that had been done to these people. A twisted desire to see these peopled revenged welled up for a moment, and he could see nothing until the moment passed, and he regained his stony calm.
To anyone looking at him when that happened, they would have only seen an apparently light-headed man, probably from exhaustion, he certainly looked it. But Jesaka had travelled with him for too long, and he had confessed to much of himself for her not to notice such spells, though they did not come often.
"Telc, are you ok? Maybe we should stop for a minute, we have time." she quired, using his prefered nickname, a look of concern on her face.
He's too stubborn sometimes. Yet despite her thoughts, she smiled with some fondness up at his rocky face.
She worried about him sometimes, he knew, and there was nothing he could do about it, aside from insisting he was fine.
"Yes, I'm fine." Had become his prefered response, he had perfected it, and utilized it yet again. He didnt want to stop unless it was absolutely necessary, the sooner he found out what had happened to Lehan, the sooner he could get her away from what must have been a place ever targeted by some evil. He, of course, would stay to offer assitance to the local authorities and in the construction of shelters for the homeless, but he would not subject Jesaka to such scenes of suffering, not again. The small, hard bits of dirt and debris thrown against his face and body by cold spring breezes were studiously ignored but he didn't want Jesaka to have to face it as well, so Telc wrapped an arm around her shoulders and drew her close to him and both shielding her from the infrequent burts, and enjoying her comforting presence of her near him.
The tightly wrapped up fae-type creature was seen briefly in the distance as the pair made their way slowly down the streets of Acumin, but from that distance neither of the thëlyri could decern much beyond the fact that the figure was tightly cloaked, yet still managing to fly somehow. It had to be of the fae race, unless it was imploying arcane of some form, but from the slight up and down motion it was most likely had wings. Telc watched it closely out of the corner of his eye as they came closer.
OOC: Welcome back, Snibly. I dont know you, and you dont know me, but welcome back anyway. In case you dont know, time stamping has become mandatory, and if you need help, Lichen has created a wonderful guideline she could direct you to. And Jesaka is an npc given into my control by Lichen, just for clarification.
