Gio General Store
OOC: Kalendryas the 13th.
IC:
Lenny paused in his clean-up to realize that he needed some tools and supplies. "Oh, how can I do all this without the proper tools and supplies?" he called up to the heavens, and immediately dashed off and went looking for the General Store.
Spotting the Sooty Cavern Tavern, he went south for a few minutes, looking and looking and looking. He then doubled back, and went west for a candlemark or so. An hour later found him heading north. Eventually, he just gave up. "I can't find anything here in Acumin at all! What did someone do, burn the entire place to the ground?"
He stamped a furry foot on the ground, totally put out and discomfitted. "I can find an armory, hardware store, stables, tower of magic, gaol. . . why, I can't even find some guy sticking ships in a bottle! WHERE IS EVERYBODY?" Lenny burst into tears for a few minutes, then spun around in circles for a few minutes when he realized his tail was taunting him.
Then a candle went off above his head. "Oh, I have an idea! I'll start my OWN store, with stuff scavenged from the ruins. A little spit and polish, some soap and water, and hey, good as new!"
Lenny then dashed off and attempted to liberate a few items from an armed camp of 550 guys that he had spotted up the road a bit, bursting into tears and begging whenever he encountered anyone he met, and then later he went and started 'borrowing' what intact items he could find among the ruins. He had no real understanding of money, so always laughed whenever people wanted the useless gold crowns whenever he got something really cool, like a piece of meat or a new bandana.
Lenny also did not really understand the concept of walls and shelter all that well, and saw nothing wrong with making his store an outdoor market with everything on the ground arranged in sort-of-neat piles. In a world of Lutrans only, he'd have been praised for his business acumen and fiscal responsibility. He just needed to remember if he was supposed to collect the useless gold thing when buying or when selling. Maybe he would just give them away all the time! He had a billion kazillion of them, anyway, maybe even some big number like seventeen.
His plan firmly set in his mind-- for at least the next candlemark-- Lenny went off to buy, beg, borrow and scavenge what he could.
