At the Tavern [Arabella, Yarrow, Walen, Krono]
And it was after a long day's journey that Arabella de Lylles arrived in Abestat with her companion, Mikisho. Upon arriving she met up with an old acquaintance, Walen Birch, and made a new friend as well, Captain Yarrow Woodruff - who also introduced her to a young orphan, Krono Gail, once they arrived at the Blomsbury.
And so they sat in the tavern, talking about various and sundry things, most likely until the day began to wane and the night to wax. But now it was time for conversation, for food and merriment.
Yarrow looked around for a waitress, finding none, but the small group did not enter the inn without notice. A plump woman emerged from the kitchen, carrying a small slate and a piece of chalk, waddling right up to Yarrow, a familiar face in the inn, and greeted everyone at the table.
"Serale! What may I be doin' for ya fine w'men an' gents this ev'nin'?"

Yarrow looked up from the talk and gave the woman a wide smile. At last...food will be on its way! She thought to herself.
"I will have my usual...Steak and Potatoes with Elven Tea. And my guests..." She gestured to the others and gave Krono a smile to tell him that she would take care of his meal for him. He looked like he needed the food anyway. Then she gave the other two a nod.
It felt good to just sit back with the new and the old for a dinner. It felt like two different time periods of her life were sitting down to chat. She would have laughed at such a thought, but she wasn't alone. I don't want them to think I am mad now, do I?

Walen eyed the barmaid as she began to take everyones order. As he waited for everyone else to make their selections, Walen looked around the inn once more. He felt happy again. For the days he had been separated from Arabella, he had been sad - almost depressed. He longed to always be by her side, and he would fight before they would be separated again. When at last everyone else had ordered, he gave the barmaid a smile.
"I'll will also have the steak and potatoes," he said, rubbing his beard. "And a pint of Claymore ale, if you please."
Once the orders were taken, he turned his attention to Yarrow.
"Tell me, Captain Yarrow, how long have you been a soldier?"

Yarrow may regret saying that she would promise Krono his meal. It was during these years in childhood that Krono ate and ate. He was like a bottomless pit. Krono knew his weakness, so he knew he would have to restrain himself from eating too much. Krono looked at Yarrow and shook his head. “I couldn’t ask you to do that, Missus Yarrow. Don’t worry about me. My foster mother left me some money before…Uh yes like I said it is really ok.” Krono looked down with grim eyes. He didn’t want to burden Yarrow with his expenses. It was enough to have her company and to have dinner with her friends.
The red haired boy watched as the plump lady made her way to the table. With cross arms leaning on the wooden table he listened to see if she would introduce the meals or this evening’s special. Krono knew that he couldn’t have everything he wanted on the menu this time. If he wanted to continue traveling he would have to save. He looked at the menu plate and then up at the lady and with a loud and melodious voice he said, “Serale Ma’am. I would like one krolaca and one crafties crabs. And one elven tea for me too.”
He waited for the others to order and in the mean time he looked around the other tables. It was packed with people and their voices warmly filled the room. He liked the atmosphere mainly because there was life around him. For a good couple of brightenings he was living by himself in the farm house. There was no one around to talk to. He knew that it was time to go after he found the horses and animals a place to stay. He didn’t know if that was the right thing to do. To leave. But it didn’t matter now. He had to start anew. He looked at his companions and smiled after their orders. “May I ask where you are all coming from? Or maybe where you came from? Um…I mean where you were born? Or you can answer any one of those questions?” The boy grinned hesitantly. Way to go Krono. Confuse the people when you first meet them.

"Tell me, Captain Yarrow, how long have you been a soldier?" Yarrow gave Walen a bright smile.
"Please, call me Yarrow. I started young you see. My brother was a soldier for some army or another...Bonsai...my brother...would come home telling wild stories about the men he met and the people he fought for and against. I'd like to say that is was then that I became a soldier, but that isn't very accurate." She paused.
"About three or four patterns ago I was dead set on not going into the army. I thought that I could do something better with my life, but soon enough I found out how wrong I was. A soldiers life was what I really wanted and I couldn't not be what was in me. So I signed up for the Army in Alleria Prime about oh...two patterns ago and have been here ever since. No...it must be longer then that...hmm...not sure really...two or three patterns I'd say."
Yarrow fell silent and was thinking of something else to bring up or a question to ask when she was relieved of such a duty by Krono. “May I ask where you are all coming from? Or maybe where you came from? Um…I mean where you were born? Or you can answer any one of those questions?” Yarrow laughed.
"I'll start by answering that question. I'm Sherianite. I was born in Taralon." She patted the boys arm carelessly and thought about the past. She already knew what had become of most of her family now. She perfered to think of them as they had been in Taralon many...many...many years ago. Her smile suddenly became sad and she wished she had her tea to cover up her face expression. She hoped the others didn't notice. Without a tea mug she made herself cover her sorrow with a forced laugh. She wasn't much for showing her feelings. She liked to smile more then get upset or angry or sad.
