Timestamp: 7th Brighting of Optia of Era I

Talarin had some trouble finding his new home in the city. The last thing he expected to happen in his life was to have a whole house left to him well that is if you can call a on story building a house but Talarin did now call it home.

When he arrived not but an few hours past he had found the house in fairly bad condition but not to bad to just write it off. He spent the past hour cleaning it up as best he could and discovered it was more spacious than it first appeared to be.

The House did have a total of three rooms a main living area, a sleeping area as well as a round down kitchen area meager but good enough.

After spending a good few hours cleaning Talarin thought to himself "I believe I shall go outside to enjoy some of that beautiful clean air as I have been in this dust for too long "

As he went outside the front door protested due to then build up of rust but with enough use that would clear up. As he entered to freash air he breathed in deeply filling his lungs with the sweet air. Walking to the edge of the porch he took a seat on the stairs and relaxed.

[Yarrow]

Yarrow noticed the newcomer on his porch as she was walking by and decided that this was the perfect time to be a friendly neighbor and Captain Woodruff. Serale there! She called up happily and gave a stiff wave. Then she made her way toward his porch.

Serale... She said once more and held out a hand. I am Captain Yarrow Woodruff...call me Yarrow. She gave him a grin and then took him in. He stood about 5'9". His black hair definitely fell past his shoulders, but she couldn't tell how far down it went from the angle she stood at. He was slender but well built and his deep green eyes were the last thing she looked at. He might be interested... She thought, but decided to let him talk before she jumped on him about a job.

As Talarin was sitting on his new porch just watching the people pass on their way somewhere only they new where he began to lose take of time lost in his own little world...when he heard some on call out "Serale There!" He turned his head in the direction from where the voice come from.

Talarin thought "Whoever is calling out can't be calling out to me but you never know I guess. " He then saw a young woman approaching him and his porch waving. She stood about 5'9" with shoulder length copper hair and was dressed in what appeared to be a military uniform.

Once she got closer to Talarin she said "Serale" again and held out her hand...Talarin was always happy to make a new friend or acquaintance and He stood and extended his hand to hers and as she introduced herself as "I am Captain Yarrow Woodruff...call me Yarrow."

It is a pleasure to meet you Yarrow "Talarin said with a bright smile" My name is Talarin

[Yarrow]

Talarin. It is good to know you. You are knew to these parts? She already guessed the answer, but decided to ask it anyhow. She smiled kindly and took a quick glance at his house before meeting Talarin's lovely eyes. He might be interested in what I have to offer...we need the people...

[Talarin]

As Yarrow asked "Talarin. It is good to know you. You are knew to these parts?" Talarin could not keep the smile from is face as he said Yes I am very new to Abestat...officially you are the first person I have met in the city.

He saw her eye move towards his new house and turned his head towards the house...as he said I know it's not much but for now it's home...

He turned his head back to meet her Silver eye's which stood out against her copper hair and tan skin he decided to offer Yarrow a seat...and he swept he hand towards the porchWould you care to sit? I know the porch doesn’t look like much...but it hasn't collapsed on me yet. He said with a smile.

Yarrow nodded toward his home as he mentioned it. It was lovely and would do anyone nicely. She still loved her home better, however. She had spent enough for it. Not that the crowns seemed to matter at the moment. She had remembered a time when that was not the case.

"Would you care to sit? I know the porch doesn’t look like much...but it hasn't collapsed on me yet." Talarin asked her. She smiled and nodded her head 'yes' before taking the offered seat. She could now look out onto the road and for a time she sat perfectly still watching it. Then she drew a sigh. I simply love it here. She told him with a smile and then drew herself to look at him.

Do you have a job here in Abestat? She asked, trying to bring up what was really on her mind. She did like meeting new people and helping them. That was why she had joined the military in the first place...not to mention the good pay.

As Yarrow took the proffered seat Talarin took the seat next to her looking out on to the street. There was a bit of a silence as Talarin noticed Yarrow's gaze was on the street.

Talarin didn't say anything during the silence as it seemed Yarrow was in deep thought...he began to drift off into the spaces that occupied his mind when he heard yarrow sighed and said I simply love it here. he turned to meet her silver gaze.

"Do you have a job here in Abestat?" The Question caught Talarin off guard which was unusual...Not at the moment he said Why do you ask? he asked with a raise of his left eyebrow and that charming slight smile of his.

[Yarrow]

"Not at the moment. Why do you ask?" Yarrow laughed at his face expression. Well...I am golad you asked. The army is recruiting members for its army. The pay is good and the food is fair. They don't ask much of you and you can get a lot of training for free. Yarrow paused to give the newcomber a broad smile. It's a good life and you are able to help out others. Are you interested? She bit her lip and waited for a reply. They were getting very desperate these days.

[Talarin]

Talarin's smile increase as Yarrow laughed and said...The army is recruiting members for its army. The pay is good and the food is fair. They don't ask much of you and you can get a lot of training for free....Talarin Thought on this for a quick moment "Army life hmmm...It might be worth trying out..."he thought to himself.

Talarin responded to Yarrow's smile in kind as she said It's a good life and you are able to help out others. Are you interested?

Talarin thought on this a little longer "I guess it has more benefits than drawbacks" he met Yarrow's gaze once again and noticed she was biting her lip which looked kind of cute...with a smile he said Sure I'm interested

Awesome! Yarrow smiled happily for they hardly got very many recruites these days. In fact this was the first recruite she had gotten since her assignment. That wasn't the best, but she had been trying. Thoughts turned once more to traveling out to other places to try and recruite there. She hated to leave but...

So...tell me where you are from. She began, interested to hear how the newest (and only) recruite had gotten to come to Abestat, of all places. Hardly anyone seemed to come to Abestat of late.

ooc: Hey I noticed your signiture. Do you like "Keeping The Faith"? Awesome movie.

In response to Yarrow's "Awesome" Talarin laughed as it was an amusing outburst...to Talarin Yarrow seemed very excited about his answer to join the military.

When Yarrow suddenly said "So...tell me where you are from." That question caught Talarin off guard once again as no one had asked him that in a very long time. Being an Elf had advantages as you have a very long time to learn allsorts of things from the world but in Talarin's travel's he had misplaced the memory of exactly where he was from...Pretty much all of nature was his home but the name of an ancient town or city came through the fog of memories to the front of his mind "Sylrosia"

He turned to Yarrow and said with a smile I'm from all around. But I shall call abestat Home

OCC:It was a pretty good movie I haven't seen it in a long time...I think I should rent it again :cool:

Yarrow nodded her head. All around seemed to be interesting at least. She had never been "all around". She had only seen three places and all three she had called home. This place had been her home for about a pattern now, but it felt like ten. If only Bonsai and the others were here... Tears almost came. She made sure to look away as she regained control of her emotions because the fact was only Bonsai and Daisy had survived...that she knew of. If Daisy wasn't insane yet she would be soon and if Bonsai wasn't on some battle field dead... Stop. He was good with the blade. You survived many a battle so he must have as well... She took a deep breath and made sure a smile was on her face when she turned back toward Talarin.

At the quick turn of Yarrow's head Talarin thought he may have said something wrong to Yarrow but she turned back with a smile but to Talarin the smile seemed half-hearted..."something seems to have bothered her...what I do not know but if it is something she wants to share she will do it on her own time" He thought to himself Talarin was never one to pry into someone’s past unless in that past there was information he needed and like his kind he would trade information only for information.

"So Yarrow how do we go from here?" Talarin said changing the subject "I mean I have given you my pledge to join the army of Abestat. There are a few things that need answering. Such as Where, what, when, and who?"

Where do I need to go?
What do I have to do and learn?
When do I officially start?
and whom do I serve under aside from you?

He asked these things with a smile especially the last because ultimately he would like to serve directly under yarrow's command but her being a captain that was somewhat a given.

ooc: At the moment I am trying to find out those same exact questions. I've been asked by the "commander" to train recruites so I have PM the GM to see if that is okay with him. So at the moment I have no idea. : ) You'll know as soon as I do though!
