Gnorm's Trick Shop
Off to the side, away from the busy bustling that was daily in Abestat, layed a pathway that blurred off the main street. On that very path, a small and relatively scratched up sign had a barely legible word. Upon close inspection, one could see that it spelled out the word "shop". Above it there was something else on it--though what exactly couldn't be deciphered. This area that layed between two worn out buildings wasn't exactly something one would take quick notice to, even if he or she were to glance in this very direction. Nevertheless, the trail did have small indications that other fellow patrons may have walked upon it.
Following the path, whether it be known what the destination was or not, you walk away from the slowly dimming noise of the streets. The walk was a relatively short one, as you end up at the finishing point of the alleyway. You would guess that the current location was a place somewhere behind the building you started from. However, the only thing that's obvious is a set of doors along the left brick wall. There seems to be 3 differently sized doors protruding at a rather strange angle--one inside the other and one the exact size for you. Trying to look through the windows is futile, as they are painted completely black.
Being the curious one, you attempt to open the door of your size. Unfortunately, the way the doors are positioned forces you to stand on a particular spot on the ground. When the door opens with quite an effort, you find more bricks behind it. Your reaction to it was short lived as a trap door opened under your feet. You slip down into a curved 'L' into a room landing on a 'Welcome' mat, which seemed to cause a loud buzzing noise from an unknown origin as if to alert whoever resided here. Looking around, the room reveals all different sorts of small contraptions and gadgets--most of which seem to be hand-sized. These lay upon many tall shelves that fill the small bakery-sized room and the two round table that stand in the center of the chamber.
Against the far wall lays an old and worn wooden counter long enough for a pole-axe and wide enough for a short-sword. No later when you see this does a voice come from behind the counter. "Welcome! Welcome! By golly gosh, havn't had a customer in...well...the Rock knows how long! Come in, come in! Do make yourself comfortable!"
What the voice came from was rather questionable, but the source was soon found. A gnome, wearing a green leather suit with a tan leather strap containing different assortments of tools, seemed to walk up some sort of steps behind the counter and appear on top of it.
"What sort of tricks can I get for you today, hmm?? Oh my manners! My Manners! My name is Gnorm! Gnorm the Old Gnome at your service!" The tiny gnome said with an expression of experience. What kind of experience was inquirable, though.
Gnorm the Gnome awaited your response, brushing off the wood that was accumulating in his curly, greying brown hair.
