Tusya - Eastern Gate
On the eastern side of the city, two towers had been erected to match those on the west. This pair however, over looked the bay and the Great Sea beyond that brought Abestat so much of its wealth from all the corners of the Empire. Like the Atayr Gate, the sea gate was made of black wrought iron, though smaller in stature than the grand entranceway to the town.
Beyond the gates before the city stood the docks, almost a town within itself in a way, which contained the jetties and piers for boats to launch and land, as well as warehouses, taverns and fish markets. The docks were also an excellent place to go to hire mercenaries and fighters should one require it. The docks were Abestat's poor cousin, their wooden houses and narrow alleys making the place rife with pickpockets and thievery.
Approaching the gates of the city, one would be able to see one of the many canals that ran through Abestat, and a watergate controlled by guardsmen who controlled the passage of goods in and out of the city. Laden barges were forming a queue, ready to be searched and checked for entrance. The foot gates were no less busy, and many horses, wagons and such were making their way through to the dockside and back. On duty stood a female dorin, checking people thoroughly before letting them through.
She was dressed in the Guard's uniform, and has a smart tabard in the city colours covering her chainmail. As usual for gate guards, she had a shortsword sheathed at her side.
"Serale, Welcome to Abestat. Please state your business and produce your Imperial Visa."

Late Cryxatum, Summer of Era XI in the Age of the Brightening
The thelyri raised a hand in a salute to the dorin female, stopping his mount before her, Katsumata following just a short distance behind him. "Serale, guardsman." Junzo greeted her simply, the journey had after all been a been wearisome, coming from Port Constantine. Although the presence of the ocean had been a most pleasant thing, the trip had been slightly tiring on him. "Here on business." He told her as he handed her two visas, one for him and one for his Kemite ward. The dorin inspected them over and after a few moments returned them and nodded at the sea-elf.
"Very well, go on."
"Thank you very much." Junzo responded as he took the visas up and tucked them into his clothing, then nodded at Katsumata. The pair rode inside on their horses, with Katsumata giving a good-bye of sorts as he said 'Aslan be with you' to the dorin guard as he passed by, and eventually vanished into the streets and the city of Abestat.

The pair walked for what seemed like centuries. Time was racing on the end of destiny and such business required what they did not have. Walking towards the market, hoping for a quick business deal. Leaving no trace behind that they were from a far off place, too far to be traveled from certain places. Junzo looked at Katsumata cautiously.
"We should hurry, there are many who are weary of unfamiliar travelers."
"Yes. I know, Junzo," replied Katsumata. They entered the market, looking around cautiously. Walking slowly, and looking for the person they seeked, Junzo and Katsumata met a familiar face from home.
Giving a small smile, Risika nodded and said, "Greetings Junzo and Katsumata. I pray, what brings you here?"

Kithus walks up to the Eastern Gate to Abestat slowly. He had no reason to hurry, believing that he will get to where he'll need to be sooner or later. He had time aplenty. Though his cloths were covered in dirt from the road, the elf did not seem to be affected by it. Indeed, he seems to possess the the confidence of someone in their own turf.
"Serale," Kithus greeted as he finally made it to the gate.
He gave his imperial visa to the guard for inspection. After a routine check, the visa was returned to him. He then stepped through the gate quickly so that he would be out of the way for the people behind him, who seemed impatient to enter Abestat.

Srennia, Brightening 11 of Optia, Summer of Era II in the age of Brightening
Digging around cluttered pockets, Cyy'cil Spellcore searched for his Imperial visa. Finally manage to get a handle on it, the young man made it ready to present to the city guard. Gathering his footing on the docks of Abestat he walked towards the streets. Stopping for a moment to rid himself of the sea's motion that still rattled through him. Handing the visa over, he spoke, "Serale, I've ventured to your town of Abestat looking for work." he smiled heartily at the female.
"Everything seems to be in order, you may continue about your way."
Collecting his visa Cyy'cil started upon his way through the rustic streets of Abestat. Wandering off into the night, clueless at to his direction. Things seemed promising in Abestat. Just how promising they would be, only fate could tell.
