*Inside Of Lauria's House*

It has been a very long time, my friend. Yarrow began the reunion once more. It was still surprising to see her here. What happened after I left town? Yarrow asked her. She bit her lip and leaned back in one of those chairs that Lauria's house provided. It was a nice little place, but it held somethings of past. One of Lauria's relatives had lived here before her, but she had died from lack of sunlight. It was a bad way to go. What happened to my family, and why did you leave? Yarrow went on to say. She looked up to meet her friend's eyes.

" It has been a long time." Lauria agreed. She looked at the ground, remembering Yarrow's family. " Not much happened after you left town. Remember Eireel? Eireel...um...Eireel Maskorine? Yeah, she married Jover Ihl. But they got divorced after the first three kids." she paused, grinning at Yarrow's amused expression.

" As for your family...you probably don't want to hear it...well, maybe you do. Your dad had to put you mom in the insane asylum. She went absolutely nuts about two months after you left. She died there, almost a year after being put in. My mom told me it was because of a lack of sunlight- she says that for every death- but I heard it was because she stopped eating. When they buried her, she was skin and bones. And a few days after your dad found out, he died too. Heartbreak, I assume. That's what everyone said, anyway.

Daisy is still back home. She inherited the house after your dad died, and she's been taking pretty good care of it, last I checked. But, um...between the two of us? She's a little crazy. I think that family gene is starting to really show. Being alone all the time probably doesn't help. Everyone is convinced she's jinxed or something. They won't go near the house as long as she's in it. It's really kind of sad. I didn't know that until right before I left- when Ruby told me. Otherwise, I would've stopped by more often.

You already know that Bonsai joined the army. I lost contact with him a few months ago. Last I checked, he was in Demios, but he may have moved out for all I know. You could probably find out if you wanted to, being in the army and all yourself." Lauria smiled at her military friend.

" So now you know what happened to your family. I didn't leave for any particular reason. It seemed like everyone else was leaving. You were gone, Bonsai was off somewhere, Ruby was planning on leaving. My parents kept bugging me to get out of the house and do something, so I talked to some relatives and found out about my grandmother...dying from lack on sunlight...just like everyone else, if you ask my mom...so I got the papers to her house and came here. But I had no idea you were in Abastat too! So now it's your turn to explain- how did you get here? What's your story?"

Oh Gods...my story is a long one, but we've got plenty of time to tell it, don't we? She paused and nodded to herself. She was shaking a little. Her family had ment a little to her, but it was more her twin and her brother that concerned her now. She could do nothing for the dead...not even grieve for them. Maybe if it was Bonsai she'd grieve...or her twin, but how could she grieve for her parents...the ones who were practiclly nonrelated to her for her whole life. Her mother had hated Lauria...how could she forget them playing in hiding? At least she is gone now. She can suffer no more...she can hurt you no more...she can...LAURIA IS WAITING FOR YOU...FOOLISH CHILD...

I went to Allerian Prime, but ran out of money so I joined the army. I was then sent here to Abestat. That was about a pattern or two ago. In that time I was in two battles...you could call them...the first one I was a private, and I got shot in the back with an arrow. I was then raised to Corporal...it was then that an uprising had occured. Well after that we put the uprising down and I was hurt yet again...a gut wound... She pointed to the spot where the wound had been inflicted.

After that I got involved with The Council of The Fallen, but that it another story that I would like to tell some other time. Yarrow smiled, remembering... Then you came back into my life. I thought I'd never see you again!

Lauria nodded. " I know what you mean. I thought you were gone...or off someplace that I would never get to. But it's wonderful to see you again!" She looked at Yarrow's battle scars, both of which were still apparant on her white skin.

" So you got shot in the back...goodness, that's no laughing matter..." but it was too late. Her sides were beginning to shake involunatrily, and she clamped down on her mouth to swallow the giant laugh that was trying to burst out.

" So...how have you been? Still hearing voices?" Lauria managed to overcome her laughing fit and speak in a somewhat normal voice.

Yarrow was soon laughing too. And people thought her family was insane... It acctually wasn't Lauria's fault. It was a sort of nervouse habbit that made her laugh at death or other's misfortune. If it was anyone else...Yarrow would have taken offense.

" So...how have you been? Still hearing voices?" Yarrow could only roll her eyes at this. Lauria was the only other person who knew that the family curse was a reality. Yes...I am still hearing voices! She sighed...It IS a family curse!

" Well, you have to admit, even though it IS a family curse...at least you're never lonely." Lauria was still surpressing giggles, and couldn't help but think of Yarrow's insane twin sister all alone in her house. Even though it was a saddening thought, it made Lauria have to fight harder not laugh.

She gave Yarrow a guilty look. " Sorry. Sometimes I think funny things." she laughed even as she said it. " Not as entertaining as having someone talk to you in your head, but...it's all I've got."

ic: " Sorry. Sometimes I think funny things." Yarrow's smile painted itself onto her face once more and a laugh issued. You love thinking funny things don't you? Yarrow half accused. Yes at least I am not lonely...I've got a bunch of friends and...AND YOU'VE GOT ME! Voices in my head don't count as a friend. You are the opposite of a friend, you are an enemy! Entertaining, huh? Nah...it is far from entertaining, I fear. I don't like hearing voices anymore then the rest of my family...or at least I don't think that they were happy with them...hmm... She pondered that for only a moment longer before issuing another thought...

" No, probably not." Lauria calmed down.

" And how is your job? Do you have to move around a lot, like Bonsai? I don't think I would be able to do that. Just leaving home to come here was stressing enough." she rolled her eyes at herself. " But I did get a job, did you hear? I'm working at the chocolate shop, if you ever want to stop by." she hinted.

(OOC- no...I really don't have a job...that darned ice cream place never called back, but it's just as well. I have connections at Staples so I might get a job there...why did I think you had a job? Do you have a job during the school year? Yar? YARROW!)

ooc: You can calm down now. Well aperently watching my sister is my job this year, but I'm not getting paid for it so it might as well be a chore!!!!

ic: Oh! The chocolate store! I was in there once. It was a lot of fun and i know how much you enjoy chocolate! I will be sure to stop by then! Yarrow beamed. Nah, I don't have to move around too much, but I have been in this town for about a pattern now. It feels like a lot longer time then that though!
