Daily Walk (Open!)
5th Brightening of Ioannes
Era X PF in the Age of the Darkening
Gavyn found himself out on the streets of the domicilium that day, with nothing to do but think of joining the military. He began to kick random rocks that he came across, sighing heavily before he shoved his hands in his pockets and continued to move on. He glanced about himself as he walked, his slow gait allowing him to pay attention to every detail of the scenery about him. He really didn't care much for the buildings, but the way that people seemed to move about with a certain happiness made him smile, as if this made him happier than ever... But it didn't. He missed everyone that he once knew, all of his friends. Whatever happened to them?
Ah well, it didn't matter now, and it seemed as if it wouldn't for a very long time. He had moved away from Alleria Prime shortly before the crisis, and now he was stuck jobless and at a loss. Not only that, but he knew nobody, and was a loner once more. He felt like an outsider walking alone on the streets, and wished that he could find a familiar face within the scenery that was spread out so invitingly before him.
Taking a deep breath, he rolled his shoulders backwards and his neck once, to ease the tension within his muscles and to relax him, though the latter was almost impossible. He had no idea why, but he felt as if something was wrong, and the feeling wouldn't go away. Shifting his fingers from within his pocket, he toyed with his key within it. The leather that hugged his arms was making his movements stiff, and he tryed to relax again...continuing on down the road with his eyes cast to the ground, as if thoughtful.

Jack saw the Elven man . . and smiled. Just whom he had been waiting for. A target.
He approached the man . . Serale there! I'm Jack! His 6'5 figure looked at the Elf, and smiled. Who might you be?

Gavyn's gaze turned to to the other man that had adressed him, blinking once and nodding in greeting. He swallowed and took a deep breath just out of sheer habit, and seemed a bit surprised that anyone had actually wanted to speak to him. Stopping his walk, he looked at the other.
"Serale, Jack." he replied pleasantly towards the new person and shifted his hand, uncomfortable since the longsword hanging from his hip was pressing against his knuckles. It was summer now, and he was glad that winter had passed over, for the cloak that he usually wore in cold weather was a cumbersome bother when he was among strangers, for he rarely trusted those that he did not know.
"I'm Gavyn," he continued, grinning faintly and then adding, "I'm new here, just moving from Alleria Prime...I used to be a guard there, but there was..." he trailed, and then shook his head, not wanting to ramble on about himself and what had happened to the club. "I'm sorry, how are you this brightening?" he changed the subject, having no idea how to continue.
Gavyn was tall, due to his elven heritage, but this man was very tall. He seemed to look up at the person that was inches taller than he, and he was a bit surprised at his stature. Never had he seen a human so tall, and he thought it rather interesting.
Looking up at the sky, it was rather early, and Gavyn had been thinking of going to the stables later today. He'd have to go back to his home, however, for he had not brought his money with him, but kept it somewhere safe in a place he had hidden it within the buiding. He now regretted not bringing it, for he would probably find something that he wanted and come back to buy it, only finding that it was gone. Smiling faintly to himself at this thought, he turned back to the one that had spoken to him and awaited his reply.

[Timestamp: Aslanica, 5th of Ioannes, Summer of Era X]
Morp walked slowly though the domocilium; he had no target in mind and no appointments to meet. He could spend as much time as he wanted walking on this particular brightening. And it was quite relaxing for him too. Walking gave him a chance to simply enjoy himself, let his mind drift, and let go of all his worries. The suns' light was warm against his skin, not too warm though, and actually quite comfortable. The further he walked, the more and more relaxed he was. At some point, he really did not know when it was, he began to whistle a familiar tune - although it was barely recognizable as a tune from others who may have heard the noise.
As he walked, he noticed an elven man walking through the streets. Moping actually. As if he were depressed and there was nothing that would help him. Following this man for awhile, more accidentally than purposefully, he saw a very tall human walk up to the elf and introduce himself. The tall human was dressed in a full cloak that covered his entire body, which was somewhat surprising with summer having arrived and a warm cloak such as what the man was wearing. 'But no matter, a man's clothes are his own to pick,' Morp thought to himself. He slowly neared the two men when the realization that they were not old friends, but only newly met dawned upon him. With this in mind, Morp quit his whistling and joined the group.
"Serale! I don't beleive I've met either of you, I'm Morp. How are you on this beautiful brightening?" He said, hoping that he was not intruding on them. However, the worst that could happen is that they would tell him to go away and this was a city, there were plenty of other people. If he annoyed two of them, it would not destroy the entire city. But that did not mean that he wanted to annoy them, merely a way to keep from feeling too badly if it did happen.

OOC: Thanks, I fixed that. I was going to wait for Jack T to post, but since he hasn't for a while I suppose I will do so.
IC:
Gavyn turned to the newcomer and bowed his head in silent greeting, then brought it back up to say, "Serale, Morp, I'm great. How are you?" He then grinned pleasantly to show him that indeed his company was welcome here to Gavyn.

Glad that he was welcome into the small group, Morp walked so that he was actually a part of thier 'circle' and not an outsider trying to force his way inside. "I'm alright. Nothing like a nice walk if you want to relax a bit." He looked up towards the tall man who was easily a foot and half taller than himself and said, "And you? What might your name be?"
For the sake of a potential conversation starter, Morp asked, "I haven't seen either of you around the city before... are you new? Or have we simply managed to avoid each other?"
