Marc's Home
Marc looked up at the home. Five thousand crowns, for a two room home, stone home. He decided that a small stone home was better than a larger wooden home. Besides, with stone, Marc felt secure. However, like most cheaper homes, it wasn't in the best of condition. The gray stone was covered with green vines, something Marc thought looked messy. Something he'd have to fix.
There was a small walkway that Marc had made, just a little dirt path. He had made it with his foot, just by munipulating the dirt around, and thought it added a little class. He hoped that his neighbors would be nice people, but you never knew.

Xanta awoke one morning (OOC: timestamp?), stretched, got out of bed and ate something hard and vaguely wood-like in the kitchen of Vizharan's house. The air was morning-y, crisp and cool. Xanta took a few breaths of air, and drank a glass of water to wet his gills. He didn't bother to check and see if Viz was still around, but instead headed right out the front door.
As Xanta headed down the street towards the Market he noticed a new man outside one of the houses very near Viz's.
"Serale, neighbor!" called Xanta. "Are you the one moving in there?" he asked, shielding his sensitive eyes from the sun.

OOC: I didn't make a time stamp for the entire thread, seeing that people come and go from a home. Maybe something like the one I'm using?

IC:
Marc had bent down to get a closer look at the ivy. His father had been a gardener for a rich family, and taught Marc a little bit of gardening. The best way to get rid of a plant, any plant, was to rip it out of the ground, and dystroying all the roots. MArc ripped out, what seemed to be the only source of roots, and decided he better start getting rid of the excess vines on his home.
Serale , neighbor! Marc heard a friendly call from an elf down the street. Are you the one moving in there?
Marc nodded, and called out, "Serale to you too. Yes, I am moving in here. I'm Marc! "

"I'm Xanta," Xanta said, coming forward to shake the man's hand. "You must have gotten here just recently, I haven't noticed you before. I live just over there," he said, indicating Viz's house, "with my friend Vizharan."
Xanta noticed that Marc had been pulling weeds or something. "Need some help?" he asked. "I have nothing better to do, and maybe we can get to know each other a bit better."

Marc glanced down at his greenish hands and smiled.
"I'd shake your hand except mine are filthy! Actually, I'm removing the vines from my stone home. And the weeds . . . and everything else. But, I don't know if you want to help, because, I'm not sure if they might cause allergic reations or not. My father, a gardener, always told me to avoid posinous plants, but to tell you the truth I have no idea which plants could me an allergic reation, and which wouldn't."
Marc pushed up his black curly hair, revealing a thick sweat on his brow. "Whew, I've been working alot and I think I ought to take a break. I'd be happy to take you up on the getting to know each other better, but would you like to come inside? I'm just roasting out here from the work I've been doing." Marc walked towards the stone home and opened the door. He motioned for the elf to follow.

"Sure, that definitely sound better than pulling weeds," Xanta said, following Marc into his home. It would probably be a lot cooler insided the stone abode, and to be honest, Xanta had no real interest in pulling vines or weeds.
The sun was unusually hot that day, and Xanta's black robes didn't make it any easier to handle. He followed Marc into the darker interior of the house, and the coolness washed over him. "Nice place you've got here," he commented. "I'm working on buying a new house with Viz, we're looking at opening a... business later."

Marc almost jumped when he heard Xanta was starting a business.
"Really? Well, you'll never believe this, but so am I. I think it's probably a crazy idea for me to start one . . . but we'll see. My business is going to be something like manual labor for those who are too busy or too weak to fix up their home or business themselves." Marc smiled.
Marc walked further inside, "Sit down, sit down." Marc sat down and gestured towards another chair. "So tell me, you're planing on starting your business with your friend Viz . .. whom you plan to live with? Thats interesting. What type of business do you plan to start?"

Xanta took a seat in the chair Marc motioned to. "Well, we were looking more into a... mercenary business, I suppose is the best way to put it. Of course, we still have a ways to go, as we must be the masters of the guild and such. We have training to do, buildings to set up, guild members to find. It'll be a while before we're actually ready to do any business," he said hesitantly. "Me and Viz already live together, I moved down here from Prime and didn't have a house, so he took me in as a friend and business partner for the time being. Perhaps you would be interested in being a mercenary someday?" Xanta asked, half joking.

Marc shrugged. "Maybe . . . someday. The reason I decided to start my own business was simply because many jobs have already been taken, here in Abestat. And military was definently out. Besides, like yourself, I intend to hire others to help share the work load, once I start making enough money."
Marc smiled and looked up at Xanta. "Can I get you anything to drink?"

"Sure, if you don't mind. I've come to really like Elven tea, if you have any around. I used to practically live off the stuff while I was in Prime, but I haven't got around to buying any more yet. It's very strange having to drink. I come from the sea, you know, and we obviously don't have to drink down there. It's a very different sensation," Xanta said.

Marc nodded his head.
"Elven tea hun? I don't have much, but I'll check the kitchen." Marc left the room for awhile and called out, "Oh yes, heres some. Bought it in the Market Square a little while ago." Marc poured two cups of Elven tea, giving one to Xanta, and one to himself.
"So, you come from the sea hun? Thats very interesting. I'm not really very familiar with the Elven community . . . perhaps this is a good time for me to learn?" Marc looked up at Xanta and smiled, raising an eyebrow at the same time.

Morp walked slowly through the residential section. He had not yet gone home that day, so he still had some new clothes with him that he had bought earlier that brightening. As he walked, going in the general, although not quite direct, route to his home, Morp saw a new stone house that had recently been sold. It looked like the new owner had just moved in and was doing some yardwork. As he got closer, he saw another man walk up and then the two of them go inside talking. 'Perhaps its a welcoming party,' Morp thought to himself. He remembered back to when he had first gotten his house and was new in many ways and how several people had visited and made him feel really good about living in the city. With this memory in mind, he could not resist from welcoming the new person to the city.
Once he reached the house he knocked on the door and waited patiently until it was opened. When the door opened he gave a huge grin and said in a jovial tone, "Serale! Welcome to Abestat! I'm Morp. What's your name?" It came out somewhat quickly and a little loud, so, slightly embarrased, he started over, "Oh, please excuse me, I get a bit carried away sometimes."

Marc heard the knock, and got up again.
"Excuse me Xanta, there seems to be someone at the door." Marc walked to the door and opened it.
Morp . .
"Ah, Serale Morp! I'm Marc, and perhaps you know Xanta, my neighbor. We were just talking inside . . . come in, come in."
Marc lseemed to be just as enthusiastic as Morp had been, and lead Morp inside and motioned towards a chair. "Sit down, Morp, sit down. Can I get you anything to drink? I just brought Xanata some Elven tea . . ." Marc looked up at Morp. This was going to be great! A conversation with two of his neighbors!

Morp was relieved to be allowed in. The house was a sturdy stone structure that kept the heat out very well, so it felt quite nice to step inside. "Tea? That would be wonderful, if you have some more." Elven tea was not the cheapest of drinks, however its taste was quite worth the price, and so he could not refuse the offer.
He took a seat in the chair that Marc had motioned to and greeted Xanta. "I'm afraid we haven't met before. No matter, I'm Morp, its a pleasure to meet you." He enjoyed meeting new people and knowing that wherever you go, you will have friends. It was comforting to know this, and the best way to get to know this is to actually meet enough people that this is true. "Where are you two from? I've lived in Abestat my entire life, but I have always wanted to go out and travel.

Marc returned with a cup of Elven tea, and gave it to Morp. He sat down again, and noticed Morp introducing himself to Xanata.
Marc listend to Morp again. He decided to wait for Xanta to speak, before he did, out of respect for his guest.
