Letter to Lorre of the GU
Early Optia in the Season of Spring,
Era X Post Fractum in the Age of the Darkening,
the Mageocracy of Julos the Mad
The letter somehow arrived in the hands of the man, but things like this were not unusal in the GU. It was sealed with simple wax embroidery, and folded neatly together. The red substance that carried the seal seemed to be handed still hot to the messenger as it ran slightly down the parchment, inside though held the true message. In beautiful black allerian script the letters flowed perfectly together.
“To my dear teacher and friend, it is I your student the white elf. As I am sure you know I left the city for personal reasons, but as I also said I would do, here is a letter calling for the guild. What are the new problems in Abestat, and is my presence needed. You know that I am forever loyal to the cause, but in my own way. Should you need my service, you merely must ask. Further has Aradin taken the proper powers? Please my good friend and mentor, write back to this messenger.”

OOC: Sorry about the incrediably long wait!
IC:
Lorre turned the letter over a couple of times in his hands, before breaking the sealing wax and sitting back in the chair in his Lieutenants office in order to read it. His brown eyes scanned the few lines of text, and the he pondered, for a moment or two, before retrieving a fresh sheet of parchment and unstopping the pot of black ink that stood on the officer's desk.
"Dego
It is with regret that I inform you that Aradin has disappeared into thr aether, it seems. No one seems to no his whereabouts, as such, Abestat has been thrown into political turmoil. Even more so, with the upset in Prime, who is to say that Antonious still lives? Without a governor, the next thane cannot be ratified. With no one running the city, the Commander, Vial Lasta, seems to have stepped in, of sorts, at least, no one questions the orders he issues, though his position is as unofficial as unofficial can get.
Your presense is not needed her yet, my friend. With the death of Rein, is it quite advisable that you stay away as long as you can."
As the bottom, in flowing black script, Lorre signed his name, then folded the letter carefully, and sealed it before seeing to getting it delivered back to Dego.

Mid Imperos
Summer of the Era X
Age of the Darkening
Dego had received the last letter and cringed at its words, it seemed the news from Abestat was not good. He had not said another word about the guild since then, but now back in Nexus Prime he needed to make contact with his teacher and attempt to retrieve things. Pulling his quill and ink dego began his flowing allerian script neatly combining the beautiful letters together.
“ My friend and mentor.
I have recently returned home to find it in shambles. Since we left, the city has fallen apart, and it brings me great pain, I am sure much as you feel about Abestat. I write to you in hopes of a grand favor from the guild. I wish to acquire the deed to the training facility in Nexus, so that I may set up a group to revive the luster of my home. I have plans to take power in the city, so I am sure that you can see the benefits. We could work as one across the empire, to do this though I need an area to work and the funds to do such things, which is where you come in.
I look forward to your words
The white elf”
Dego folded the four corners of the thick parchment to the center and dripped the heavy red wax onto it. Letting it sit it changed the color lightly around the circle as it was soaked into the paper. As it started to dry he pressed a stamp into it making the letter to look somewhat official and prove the seal had not broke, then walked out of the dimly lit room to take his words to the messenger that would return it to Lorre.

As usual, the letter was recieved by Lorre upon his arrival in the Lieutenant's office he inhabited. Slitting the envelope quickly and efficiently with a silver letter-opener, he sat in the somewhat mediocrely cushioned chair behind the desk, and read the contents, with a slight frown of concentration marring his already grim features. After reading the document through a second time, he then put pen to parchment, and contructed a reply.
"Your news about the state of Nexus is indeed a sorry piece of information, and I only regret that perhaps, in part, it is my fault, for leaving our home in such a hurry. However, what's done is done, I suppose, and I can only look to the future. On to matters of business, then. I implore you to visit the Aedile's office in Nexus Prime, showing this letter if appropriate. I will not say more, but it the results are not satisfactory, then simply let me know.
However, I urge you to be discreet about future correspondance. You may or may not have heard about the state of Abestat lately, and I am greatly trying to keep a profile as low as I can, in an attempt to not attracted any unwanted attention. In matters of extreme emergency, of course, I am always here for advice.
Lorre."
The man signed his pseudoname at the bottom of the parchment in simple letters, before sealing the page into an envelope, leaving it on his desk in a spot where he would remember to do something about posting it shortly on in the brightening.
