However...

Abestat is lacking an armoury for anyone to buy an armour. Whilst it is rather feasible for anyone to start a new thread to go scouring for a random armoury in the city, wouldn't it better to start up a shop thread? I mean, you could always have an armoury that sells cheapy, shoddy stuff that no one in their right mind would really like (though it wouldn't be that useful...), but still that'll potentially save the modding of a gazillion threads? Also, there's always the notion that Abestat is a trade hub, and after the raid on the city, it has taken up a more militarilistic stance, so Abestat would naturally import more weapons - and armours.

Yep, there's an armourer in the Market Square thread, the place you go if you can't see what you're looking for elsewhere on the forum I was rather hoping that one day some intrepid PC would see the need for an armour store and try to set one up

Demetri - I heard you the first time! At the moment I can't take anymore threads (ie: I have about 25 right now), but I've posted it up in the co-ord thread in the super secret mod forums so someone else should take it soon

Yeah - after I've had a glance of her list of threads, I almost wanted to bow down to her. It's impossible... :eek:

On a more thread-related note, although it is the Easter Holiday, my GCSE is looming very close. My posting will be somewhat sluggish during this period, although it will be somewhat better than what it was before. After the Holidays (last day = 16th), my postings will likely to recede by a whole lot, unfortunately. Just an advance warning so everyone knows.

As well as that, I was wondering whether Abestat had a proper city council set in the timeline after Rein Lastra's been assasinated...?

Whatever you can come up with is cool with me. Just keep in mind I need a house to continue doing events in Abestat; really. I'm a part of the Hoplites, and I wouldn't want to have to spend more money towards a house that should be going towards the faction

Well, I'm thinking that this pertains to Abestat-related stuff, so if people could check it out it would be mighty appreciated. Input is also quite welcome, so bash away - although... I'm not sure if you should do it here or in Agaenos' tagboard, I don't want to clog things up here!!

Anyway, what am I talking about? The Abestat map!! I worked on it and this is sort of a rough draft, I'm aware that there still might be more stuff to be added... so just tell me what I'm missing.

Also... the shell on the bottom is 'supposed' to be a pathetic imitation of a wax seal although Celeste happens to think it's the gasoline station symbol. BAH!

The maps are great, though a few labels would be nice, as for a font I say the one-second up from the bottom.

Now then down to business. I tried to get a Sword Dancing, training thread, started for my character. That was over a month ago. Is anyone going to start a thread for me or is this one of those things I need to go find on my own?

You should really go into cartography (thank you, Agaenos, for giving me the word ) Yes, I think m does look nice but - but f is really pretty with its fancy squiggles . . . and . . . and e, with its capitals, will also be a good choice - and damn, here I go again.

One map does not a cartographer make, heh. I also wanted to do a street map...but I really think I'm getting a LEETLE too into this, eh?

Anyways... I wanted to check if there are any other really important buildings I'm missing. I was also thinking of adding in the stores like, Cross Swords and Bending bow, etc, do you think that would clutter things up too much? Also, the Military District looks awfully bare, eh? Am I missing anything there? Also... was wondering if I should do another road system thing within the Military District.

Phew... there's still a lot of stuff to work out. Btw, if you want to see the buildings that I've already got, it's on the rough map:
