Morp's House
The outside of the house was a soft brown that absorbed dirt without looking dirty. Posted next to the door was a sign that said, 4200 Vienna Drive. It was his house address. A small step led up from the road to the door, and along side the house were bushes that came up about a two feet tall. They were not neatly trimmed, yet they were not messy either.
Morp kept his house simple, yet still comfortable. Like most of the small houses in the city it only had 3 rooms. The bedroom was simple. A soft bed was in the middle of the room and was always kept looking clean and well made. On one side was a small closet and on the other side was a table with a bowl for water and a mirror. Above the head of the bed was a small window that let light in, without giving up any privacy.
The living room/kitchen/dining room was always kept clean. In the kitchen section a counter built into the wall with several cabinets below it. Next to the counter is a pantry. The living room and dining room have been combined into one in order to have more room. A circular table dominates most of the room. Around the table are several very comfortable chairs, although they are slightly worn. In the wall is a fire place with a chimney that forms an arch over the room in order to warm the room better. Across from the kitchen is the door into and out of the house. In the kitchen is a large window, and on either side of the door are smaller windows.
The bathroom is small, though well furnished. Along one side is a counter with a sink and a rack for toiletries. On the far end is the bathtub, and next to the bath tub is a toilet. A short, but wide window is at the top of the wall.

Yarrow didn't know who lived in the house. She knew many in Abestat, but had never ventured to look in upon whomever lived here. She decided that this was a good time to do so. With the thought she nodded and went up to the door and gave it a knock.
Sargent Yarrow Woodruff was at it again. She was always walking about meeting the new, saying serale to the old and answering questions. She felt that someone had to do it and because she was in the military and one of the highest ranking officers (at the moment)... Bah...that's only the excuse I give! She thought with a smile. It was going to be a nice day.

OOC: Yeah... the timestamp works fine.
IC:
Morp opened the door having no idea who could be at the door. He was surprised to see an attractive young woman from the military standing on the stoop.
"Serale. I don't believe we have met before... So I suppose it is nice to meet you now. My name is Morp." He stuck out his hand and gave a large smile.

Yarrow took the offered hand. Morp... Another name to remember. Serale and good Brightening to you. I am Sargent Yarrow Woodruff. It's a pleasure to meet you. She smiled back. Have you been in Abestat long? She asked him as she tried to relax her stance. It didn't work....not in these times.
ooc: Have you played in Alleria before or is this your first time?

ooc: First time in Alleria, but I have played in other similar games.
ic: "Yeah, I grew up in the city." Morp suddenly realized that they were still standing in the doorway. "Come on in, I hate to keep you standing in the door all day." He moved aside and held open the door so that Yarrow could enter.

ooc: Well welcome! If you have any questions feel free to ask. I've been around long enough to know the answers or who to send you to if I don't know!
ic: Yarrow smiled and was about to reply when he offered her a chance to come inside. She hesitated wondering what she had to do next, but nothing came to mind. I can't stay to long Morp, but thank you. She slid past him and into his house. She was pleasantly surprised to find the place a cozy living space that reminded her of another very similar house. The house had been the one she had grown up in and left as soon as she was able. Of course she had "left" several times only to come back again a few days later. A lovely place you have here Morp! She told him, turning to give him another wide smile.

OOC: And remember, you could always ask about various happenings and plotlines if you're unsure as to what is happening around you.
And welcome to Alleria.

Fresh air. It was one of the few things that the Market Square, eternally bustling with cacophonous activity during the Brightening, seemed to lack. Though houses were lined beside paved roads, at least it still had plants placed conveniently around for the casual pedestrians to admire on. The Market Square? All it had, really, were cluttered stalls, and if one was not used to the strong smell of herbs and products, and thundering banters, barters and boycotts, senses could be overwhelmed very quickly.
Which was why Corporal Agaenos found this part to be moderately tranquil.
It was not just that, of course. Being a military personnel, he felt he had the responsibility to let the rest of Abestat know the city's military was not a mindless mechanism that only knew how to kill. He had emotions, feelings, and definitely compassion, a compassion to greet new faces and citizens. Whilst he doubt he would ever be able to greet the entire Domicilium, he occasionally took it upon himself to patrol the district.
"A new residence...?" His mind uttered as his brown eyes settled upon Morp's home. "I've never seen this house before..."
He decided to greet this citizen and make him feel welcome to Abestat, built upon the ashes of the ancient Luctadoman capital of Lux.
Three knocks emanated from the door, as Morp and Yarrow could clearly hear. The Corporal straightened his uniform, removed his helm, the brown hair clearly visible, and the odd sprinkle of chestnut hue in some places definitely gave him a distinct appearence.

ooc: Thanks for the welcome
"Thank you. I have never been able to live in a messy house. I suppose the dirt has learned to stay out of here." Morp smiled. He was surprised to hear yet another knock at the door. "Excuse me for a moment, Sargent."
He enjoyed meeting new people and making friends, so he was very pleased when he heard the knock. Morp went back to the door, opened it, and smiled at the man standing at the door. "Serale."

The knock upon the door told of a new comer. She watched as her host opened the door and there stood Agaenos in his military uniform and looking very smart. The two had been friends for some time now, ever since the Uprising. Beside Keeva, he was her dearest friend.
Ah! Agaenos...good to see you! Yarrow moved back to the door, quick to introduce Morp to her old friend. Morp this is Corporal Agaenos Phidion, Agaenos...Morp. A smile brightened upon her face. Why it was just a few days ago that Agaenos and herself had gotten involved in some trouble in the Market Square. Or was it that trouble got involved with them?

The door swung open in front of the neatly dressed, smart Corporal. As it turned out, the resident was a Human, his curt brown hair not very dissimilar to his (save for the unique sprinkle of chestnut shades on the military officer). The mood of the Human turned out to be bright and pleasent enough. A small smile grew and arched its way across his face, as he greeted him with a "Serale."
Nodding, extended a friendly hand to him. "Serale - new to the city?" He inquired in a tone of friendliness, an attitude that he found very easy to benevolently bestow upon others.
"Ah! Agaenos... Good to see you!"
His ears pricked up at the familiar voice. Raising his brown-shaded eyes, a wider smile settled upon his face as he recognized a friend within the abode. Waving her to her, it was none other than Yarrow, the now-Staff Sergeant whom he first met during the Vysstichi Uprising.
"Ah, serale Morp. You have met our lovely Staff-Sergeant then?" Grinning somewhat childishly, he nodded towards the direction of his friend. "How are you finding Abestat to be?"

"Nice to meet you, Agaenos. Well its certainly nice to see so many nice people," Morp replied. "But actually I've grown up in the city, but due to some family... issues, you could say, I suppose in a way I'm new as being on my own without my family is new to me." He said this last part slowly, as if remembering a not so happy past, but then he shook it off and promptly changed the subject.
"For awhile I thought about joining the military as you two have... but then I realized that it was a bit too formal and strict for me. I have to have my freedom, or else I get bored." He laughed at a memory. "And I don't mix very well with boredness, I have had some exciting times when I'm bored, much to the dismay of my parents as I grew up."

If you think the military is boring then you have no idea do you? Yarrow's teeth showed with the grin. She had been through a lot during the pattern she had lived here. She had been through two battles and was about to go on a third....one that was more secret and only those in the military had a major idea about what it was all about and some of them didn't even know the half of it. She knew the whole of it, however. She had been there since it had begun.
What do you want to do then? There is a lot of work here in Abestat...but you probably know all about that since you've lived here a while. She didn't miss the sadness about talking about his past. She stayed clear of that. Most people around these parts had "bad" pasts. He wasn't the first to look gloomy when talking about his family. Why...you could go to the Chamber to get a job...a job with more freedom.
ooc: The chamber can be found here

ooc: I'm not sure how to handle this post... I already have a post in the chamber that has been sitting there for a couple of days, so I don't yet have a job, yet, in game time at this point Morp would have a job, assuming things in the chamber went well. I guess I'll just avoid a direct answer as much as I can.
'If you think the military is boring then you have no idea do you?' Morp laughed with her. "No, I suppose not. But I also suppose I'll not have the chance to find out first hand. At least I am not planning to yet. Too structured for me." He paused and chuckled again. "And there I am again with my own ideas about what the military is like."
'What do you want to do then?'
"I suppose would like to be a merchant of sorts. I hate to be tied down to one place, and, although being only a childish dream that is quite a bit harder to carry out than to dream of, I would like to dapple in everything." Morp paused and smiled, thinking back to when he would follow people just listening to their conversations and picking up bits and pieces of information. "Being a travelling merchant would fit my tastes well. Of course it will take quite awhile until I am able to become one, but that's ok with me. I am content with what I do now, knowing that it will eventually lead on to more later on."
"Are you planning on staying in the military for as long as you can?" Morp asked. He was curious, because for him knowing that someone would be tied down to the same thing for the rest of thier life was a very foreign and odd idea.

ooc: Sorry for the delay and putting you in a tough spot! I have been busy with Grad. Project and all!
ic: I understand completely. Yarrow said nodding her head. She knew the feeling of being "tied" into one place, but Abestat was different. I myself want to be in a merchant train, but my job would be a little different! I want to be a guard. That was my older brother's dream too. He wanted to be a merchant's guard as well. Hope he got that dream. Yarrow thought briefly.
"Are you planning on staying in the military for as long as you can?" She shook her head at this question. She had mixed feelings about it. She felt attached to Abestat, but she had been here for about a pattern. Military life was giving her money and adventure, but that was about it. She wasn't seeing very much around here. I've been thinking about leaving, but have not really come to any action. I may take a break sometime soon or I may stay on until better times presents itself... Or the Council of the Fallen has been taken care of.

He smiled. Visiting normal citizens in the Domicilium was not really a normal trait of his; after all, he did not go wandering about and knocking on doors on strangers. Most, however, seem to be pleasent enough. Maybe he should relish in the idea of meeting new people more often?
He seemed to have stirred up some distant, unhappy memories of his past, however - something which he was always perturbed about, at least mentally. The last part of his speech was slow and deliberate, and seemed to convey some sad reminiscence. A worried mental frown conjured itself within Agaenos for a moment, before being relieved that the subject was changed. He really should take care of his questions next time...
"Military? Boring?" His mind promptly asked. Of course, he was in the military himself, so he knew the reverse was true - though, it sometimes could be more dangerous rather than exciting...
The Staff-Sergent made a suggestion to the man. "Why... You could go to the Chamber to get a job... A job with more freedom."
Chamber of Commerce... He had heard of it before, but never really been there. Of course, now that he was in the military, he really had no reason to be there - unless he wanted the expand the scope of his earnings. He doubted he had enough capital, however...
"Travelling merchant?" He fit in a small comment, "That would be great - but be sure you know how to defend yourself as well. It is quite harsh outside the city walls." Remarked the Corporal. He had seen some unspeakably horrible places before, a place which he could not bring himself to comfortably speak about...
"Are you planning on staying in the military for as long as you can?"
Agaenos was slightly taken aback by Yarrow's response. To be rather honest, he did expect her to be considering leaving the military. That, perhaps, was because he was still quite early on in his military career, however. He would loathe to see a dear friend of him leave. At least, the small consolation to the Human was she did not seem to want to leave Abestat altogether. That's good...
"I don't know - I might leave it someday, seeing as I am trying to form a faction of my own too. Although, I will definitely stay on for as long as I could, for the moment. Probably rise to at least a Sergeant first." He replied, and a small, confident smile arched upon his lips.
